I get the down below kicks too! Delightful! Went looking at buggies today and think we've decided. Going to go shopping on the 28th I think after the next scan.

I can already tell I'm going to worry about their movement. It's hard sometimes to tell which twin! And then also some days they are active a lot and throughout the day. Other times it's morning and evening and then they are all quiet in the day. Not sure what's normal and what isn't?!!
Looking forward to Monday and hoping for some good news. But also dreading Monday as we have the funeral for baby Freddie.

xxx

Blueroses99 · 19/04/2017 08:21

Thanks everyone! I'm so in love 💕

Lolly and Elles hope you manage ok with the double weight!

Misteltoe poor you with SPD. I imagine finishing work early will help.

Bear and Fraggle those kicks are lovely! I have videoed a few from a couple of weeks ago!

Thank you @bibs2014. Hope you are ok x

Lolly I'm sure Monday will be hard and full of mixed feelings. Wishing you strength

mistletoeprickles · 19/04/2017 09:24

blue I love our little mention on your blog.
I think I speak for many when I say we are thinking about you and of course you beautiful girl. We may now be at a completely different stage to you but we are still here for you Flowers

Bear2014 · 19/04/2017 09:25

Sounds like Aviana is doing amazingly, Blue. You have the patience of a saint with all those visitors, I would have told them to do one! Take care of yourself and be selfish if you need to xx

Lolly I think it's normal to worry! It's also really normal for them to go through different phases of movement. This one is having a lazy few days. Think he must have moved as my belly is a slightly different shape too. Next Monday will be a rollercoaster for you all Flowers

Echoing mistletoes comments Blue. We are all here for you and rooting for you and Aviana. Sounds like she's doing great so far and I bet she's a little fighter just like her mum.
Also agree with Bear on the visitors. I'd tell them when to come you don't need anything stressing you out right now at all.
xxxx

Glad you're feeling the same Bear. I will ask the Dr as well what's normal just don't want to miss something that isn't right. Yer Monday will be a difficult day no doubt about it. xxx

You are wise ladies not to get on the scales.. I was curious! Apparently though 2 stone easily goes overnight after birth.. yay!

Ah Lolly remind me how far gone you are now? Which buggy are you looking at?
We have everything ready now.. we got it all ready for 30 week milestone just to be prepared in case they decide to come early. Fingers x they stay put longer though!
Movement is a nightmare with two.. I didn't feel any proper kicks until 23 weeks, only the odd flutter. I went in with reduced movement twice.. once Twin 2 was playing with placenta and other time, twin 1 was cuddled up with twin 2 so couldn't feel her! Movement has definitely increased though since week 25 so feeling more confident now.. their pattern does seem change.

Blue I have been checking in on your blog... maybe your Dh could manage visitors? I know they mean well but you must be exhausted, especially building up your supply. Xx

ellesbellesxxx · 19/04/2017 21:44

Mistletoe do you get the ripples On your belly with the movement? I love it but husband gets freaked out Hehe!

Fraggle I get those kicks... like you are being kicked in the foof? I am currently being booted in the pelvis.. tickly but not great for bladder!!!

Bear I am so impressed you are aiming to get to 38 weeks at work!

ellesbellesxxx · 19/04/2017 21:45

Lolly I think I missed something there, sorry to see Monday will be a sad day :( xx

Lolly2803 · 19/04/2017 21:50

So elles I am 25+5 today. I do feel them a lot. Twin 1 is more of a kicker I'd say and Twin 2 is more of a mover! But sometimes I worry in the day when I haven't felt them and then they spring into life! Also not sure what to do if I'm worried. Do I just turn up at the hospital?
I started feeling flutters about 18/19 weeks but few and far between. Getting stronger every day though.

I think we are going to get the icandy orange twin. It's just been released have you seen it? It's lighter, bigger (but still fits through a door) and has sooo many configurations than the Peach so think we will go for that. It's not as pretty as the peach but it ticks more boxes so need to be practical. What did you go for? I'm still too scared to buy anything. We literally have nothing, zero! Our scan is Monday and I'm planning (if all ok I guess) on buying on the 29th so I'll be 27 weeks then. I'm too scared to buy anything before. I'm so worried today about things going wrong I've been googling all sorts today I mean it's totally stupid but I just am really scared.

ellesbellesxxx · 19/04/2017 21:58

I totally understand.. it's only really the last couple of weeks when I got to29/30 weeks where I have started to feel more confident and let myself feel like it's really happening! I do still have moments of fear though for sure.. I think I always will.

I would personally note down their patterns.. e.g. My twin 1 usually is active late morning/afternoon and usually when I am on the go/sitting as opposed to lying. Twin 2 however is early morning/evening when I am lying down! Don't panic though as it took until 27/28 weeks to really get a pattern.. then it changed anyway!
If you are worried, you must call.. do you have a maternity triage dept? Otherwise your hospital.. they emphasise that everytime, no matter how many times you end up going in.

We went for the mountain buggy duet! Haven't heard of the new icandy.. we orig looked at the peach but when we looked at the seats and realised one twin would be behind other so we wouldn't see them we decided against it.. I am totally going to google yours!!!!!

Bear2014 · 20/04/2017 08:41

It is v cool to get the belly ripples, less cool to get the full on kicks in the foof! I'm having to make sure I get a seat on the train now in case I get a particularly viscious one while en route! Thankfully pelvic floor is solid but they are so disconcerting Grin

I worked with DD until 37.5 weeks, finished my handover to my mat cover and was admitted to hospital 2 days later for unstable transverse lie. Looking back it was fairly hardcore as she was 9lb at birth and i was huge but i managed it. Will totally be playing it by ear this time though and may have to work from home a fair bit.

Blue hope you're all still bearing up ok - thinking of you xx

Lolly2803 · 20/04/2017 10:48

That's amazing you went so long Bear. Hope all goes well enough for you to do the same this time. And yes def get a seat on the tube! I always struggled to and had to stop getting the bus in the end and walked 22 mins each way instead.

Elles good idea to note their patterns although sometimes I can't tell which twin it is. Especially if the movements or kicks are in the middle! Yes there's a triage number on my notes so if I'm worried i will call that. The only consistent time of movement so far seems to be after dinner and when I go to bed.
Yer the Peach is pretty but the positions aren't great. The orange has more choice so we going for that. Def look it up!
I am seeing my GP today for a check up so I'm going to tell her about my worries. My eczema has flared up but I think it's just worry!

Bear2014 · 20/04/2017 10:57

I can't believe you struggled so much getting a seat on the bus, people are such shits! People have generally been fine with me, I have to ask to push through otherwise I can't get near the seats but as soon as I get next to them, people let me sit down. The badge is a godsend. I never had one when I got the tube as I used to get on the first stop on the line so the trains were empty. Bliss!!

Everyone round here with double buggies either has the icandy one or a Phil and Teds. Probably because it's Zone 2 and people get buses and trains a lot.

I'm lucky that my job is very easy and sedentary, so the later I can work the longer I get with the baby. Easier said than done though, possibly.

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 20/04/2017 11:33

Yer the bus was awful and my nausea was bad so i was getting to work feeling horrific. So just walked instead. Which was fine until I could hardly walk in the evening by the time I got home!

I'm resting a lot now as instructed and my legs are much better.
Is anyone suffering with heartburn. Mine seems to have ramped up a bit. Last night it was so bad!!! In the night I wanted to get up and get my Rennies but I was frozen to the spot literally feeling on fire. Crazy!!

Bear2014 · 20/04/2017 11:49

Heartburn, yes. It's my pregnancy Achilles heel! I have to down some of the liquid Gaviscon every night before bed now and I keep some of the tablets in the bedside table. Get your doc to prescribe you something for it, that's what I'm going to do at my next appt. With DD it was terrible by the end, bleurgh.

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 20/04/2017 12:02

Ah ok I'm in the waiting room now so I'll ask her to prescribe me something! And I really need to leave stuff by my bed to stop me scrambling around in the dark!

Bear2014 · 20/04/2017 16:06

Hope you got hold of some good drugs for the heartburn. It's life changing if you can get it under control!

Funnily enough just had a meeting with my line manager, and tentatively put Friday 21st July as my last working day. Eek!

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 20/04/2017 16:26

She gave me some tablets but think I'll save them for when it's really really bad and stick with Rennies for now. I'm nervous to take stuff.
Eeek that's exciting Bear!! Hope you make it that far and feel alright xxx

Bear2014 · 20/04/2017 17:53

Yeah fair enough. Try not to worry too much though, most people I know took massive quantities of antacid in their last trimester. I wouldn't have survived without it as DD's giant head was effectively crushing my stomach.

Blue been catching up on your blog. You're so disciplined to write all that detail for everyone! Hope things continue to go as smooth as possible xx

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 20/04/2017 18:08

Yer I think I'm being over cautious but I'll see how it goes.
Twins have been quiet today....roll on Monday honestly!!!!!

Lolly2803 · 20/04/2017 22:22

The twins are really really quiet today. I'll see how it goes over night but I might ring up in the morning.....

ellesbellesxxx · 20/04/2017 22:37

Lolly, just read your msg. If you are worried, just call now.. I have had a night of lying there worrying about one of the babies which culminated in a 6am dash to triage and lots of tears.. and they were fine.they would seriously rather you ring then worry xx

Lolly2803 · 20/04/2017 23:05

Ok so I called the triage and they said to come in so we are on our way to get checked.

Lolly2803 · 20/04/2017 23:08

Thanks Elles xxxx

Blueroses99 · 21/04/2017 02:34

Hope triage put your mind at rest Lolly?
