Yes - Raffles don't feel guilty! I too feel grateful and thankful that my pregnancy is relatively peril-free and I'm still cooking my bambino at 31 weeks, but it doesn't negate the fact that I'm in almost constant discomfort, queasy and attempting to parent a demanding 3 year old in this heat Grin I am unapologetically moaning a lot of the time.

Blueroses99 · 14/06/2017 20:25

Raffles I didn't mean stop moaning Blush Sorry if it sounded like that

RafflesMaidenSister · 14/06/2017 22:08

No Blue - that wasn't what I thought. But I'm a natural pessimist so a reminder to count blessings is always welcome.

That being said I am bloody fed up at the moment Wink

Hope everyone is surviving!

mistletoeprickles · 15/06/2017 07:29

Would everyone be willing to update how far along the are now?
I easy get lost these days Grin
I'm 32 weeks now and it'll be confirmed in 4 weeks time when ill delivered. It's looking around the 38 week mark

RafflesMaidenSister · 15/06/2017 08:06

29 weeks.
Think Fraggle is slightly ahead of me but similar.

Bear2014 · 15/06/2017 08:55

31+4 today. Hope everyone is coping in this heat and hope you've had more lovely baby cuddles lolly!

MrsCrabtree · 15/06/2017 09:04

Morning, I'm 30 weeks now. Getting big! I've noticed myself worrying about how my body will look afterwards and having to give myself a mental slap round the face. Amazing that you can still be bothered by these things even when this is something you've wanted for so so long and never thought would happen. Brains are funny old things Confused Yes hope everyone gets to enjoy a bit of sun and Lolly hope your babies are thriving x

FraggleRock77 · 15/06/2017 09:13

I'm 29+4 today. Can't wait to be 30 weeks. It will be the furthest I've ever got! My DS was born at 29+3 x

MrsCrabtree · 15/06/2017 09:30

Fantastic Fraggle, you're already ahead! And Mistletoe that sounds positive re delivery date x

RafflesMaidenSister · 15/06/2017 09:40

Congratulations Fraggle - that's fantastic!
Mrs Crab - me too: I don't think it's vanity - it's a very strange thing having your body change so much in such a short time. I'm just really tired of not feeling normal. Struggling to walk the dogs properly - not enjoying it because I'm out of breath/sore in the pelvis/having Braxton Hicks has really taken its toll emotionally. I really miss riding too.
The dogs are having a dog walker at the moment and they love him - he takes them for about 6 hours a day so at least it's only me missing out now.
Weather here is beautiful so I'm going to try the sea pool later today - I really need to move!
Good luck Fraggle - keep hanging on in there.
Hope all the summer babies of the infertile (how lovely - we've got 5 now!) are doing well. x

Bear2014 · 15/06/2017 09:47

Totally understandable, I don't think it's vanity either. With DD, I went from feeling like my body was an alien life form to relatively normal quite quickly - I was surprised especially given I had a C-section. No stretch marks and breastfeeding really helped the weight fall off. I'm expecting it to be much more of a battle this time as I'm 3.5 years older and was heavier when I got pregnant. But it will still be nice to feel more like me again.

Hooray Fraggle! And Mistletoe, will be good to have a plan.

Blueroses99 · 16/06/2017 16:24

Aviana has 2 VERY special, very lovely roommates 😊

I was starting to worry about brand new red stretch marks thinking I was putting on weight since giving birth, but someone told me you can also get stretch marks when skin is shrinking so I hope it's that!

RafflesMaidenSister · 16/06/2017 17:22

Are you together with Lolly, Poppy and George?! How lovely!!!!

I didn't know that either. I can't see any yet from pregnancy but I have awful stretch marks on my thighs from changing shape quite dramatically when I was younger and I actually don't mind them. Apparently bio oil helps - I use it for scars and like it.

Hope Aviana is having a better day.

Hope everyone else is coping with the weather and feeling OK.

Bear2014 · 16/06/2017 17:49

That's lovely that you're all together! Hope all babies, mummies and daddies had a good day on the ward xx

FraggleRock77 · 16/06/2017 18:11

MY FEET LOOK LIKE PIG TROTTERS AND I HAVE CANKLES!!! So fed up!

FraggleRock77 · 16/06/2017 18:12

Lovely that you have Lolly and the twins for company x

Lolly2803 · 16/06/2017 18:19

Hey ladies, sorry been a bit absent just trying to take in our new surroundings! Poppy and George are bunking with Aviana which is lovely! She is even more beautiful in real life than in pics. Poppy and George are doing well. Little upset tummies but Poppy seems to be getting better so hopefully she can start feeding more and George can start feeding very soon. I'm trying to get to grips with the whole expressing, learning how to change nappies and trying not to burst into tears when they cry routine. All so surreal I feel like I'm in another world!

Hope you ladies are coping in the heat and not too uncomfortable. Lots of ice lollies and cool baths!
Bear I envy you feel so good after your C Section. I am really struggling. They said I lost a lot of blood so was waiting to hear if I'd need a transfusion but so far ok. They also think I might have some retained placenta so will have a scan in 6 weeks to check. Today first day I have walked myself to see the twins so I am getting better just massively underestimated how long it would take and how painful it would be. Hey ho!

I haven't really thought about my post baby body. My bump has gone down loads so I think that will go quick it's just the rest, everything got bigger! But am sure I'll be busy enough to work it off. I was lucky in that i didn't get a single pregnancy stretch mark! Once I'm home and more able ill be slapping on the bio oil!

Fraggle great you're holding on so well! Mistletoe and Bear not long left really wahoo!
We are moving house next week - my parents have been taking bits and DH trying to sort things out so that's good. All going on!

Lots of love to you all xxxxx

Blueroses99 · 16/06/2017 18:26

Aviana is the littlest baby in the nursery but also the oldest! The air con is broken again so I'm melting but cuddling Aviana is like holding a hot water bottle. She had her 8 week jabs today so I wanted to comfort her but she seems completely settled sleeping on my chest. Cuddles are the best! I was warned that her oxygen requirement might go up but it's actually gone down!

It's a bit surreal when online life and real life collide but all is well!

Hope you're all coping in the heat as best you can. I was not looking forward to being heavily pregnant in the summer as I don't cope well with heat at the best of times. I can join the cankle club! xx

Bear2014 · 16/06/2017 18:36

Ahh thanks for the update guys! Really sounds like the gang is doing well and lolly it's all totally insane so i'm sure you're coping just fine.

I didn't feel fine in the week or 3 after my section at all, i wish. It felt like I'd been run over by a bus at first but it is surprising how you do start to feel a lot better quicker than you think. Be realistic with yourself that you've just had surgery! Xxx

Fraggle - gaaah it's miserable isn't it xx

OP posts:
MrsCrabtree · 16/06/2017 19:59

How lovely you're all together! Star so so great to hear how well Aviana, George and Poppy are doing. Well done Blue, cuddles must be lovely (even though it's hot!) Lolly it sounds like you're doing just brilliantly, don't put any pressure on yourself!

LOL Fraggle!! Poor you. My concern is mainly the size of my derrière. If there's a solar eclipse soon you'll all know why Grin

RafflesMaidenSister · 16/06/2017 23:57

Fraggle that sounds super miserable - poor you. Hoping for colder weather for you. But - you are so close to 30 weeks. Very exciting.

We have my parents in law staying at the moment. It's quite painful. I'm not sure I'll survive it. Seriously, if you really want to hear me moan ... Grin I'm looking forward to having a shower tomorrow morning so I can cry in it.

Bear2014 · 17/06/2017 14:45

Hope everyone is managing to stay cool today and that George, Poppy and Aviana are still doing well. Hope they've fixed the air con for you - I found the hospital to be the temperature of the Earth's Core in January, so I really dread to think how hot it must be! London is ridiculous but I'm not going anywhere more than 6 feet away from my tower fan!

OP posts:
Blueroses99 · 17/06/2017 17:03

The air in the room is warmer than the temperature that Aviana's incubator is set at 🤣

Lolly2803 · 17/06/2017 17:15

It's absolutely boiling in the unit!!!! Makes it hard to stay in there for long time periods and doesn't help me feel well but hey ho!
I went for a walk earlier outside which was lovely to get some fresh air but I feel for you ladies in this heat. I know how I was just last week and it's not fun!

Hope the parents in law aren't driving you too mad Raffles!!

xxx

RafflesMaidenSister · 18/06/2017 11:01

Hope everyone is coping in the heat! Hope Aviana, Poppy and George are coping too - must be tough.

Fraggle - have been thinking about you this morning. It's 30 weeks today isn't it?
