Yer it was nice to have the window open and wear a t shirt! Let's hope it keeps coming!
Hope everyone has had a good day xx

Bear2014 · 19/05/2017 15:01

Hope consultant went well, Lolly!

Just been to midwife, baby in exactly the same oblique transverse position that DD was in, little 🐒 they don't worry about it as early as 28 weeks, but DD was like it til the bitter end so it may be history repeating. If he does I'll be looking at admission at 38 and a minimum 9 day hospital stay, so fingers crossed it doesn't come to that!!

Lolly2803 · 19/05/2017 15:20

Yep all well thanks Bear. BP was high so was monitored for a bit but then went down so all good. Next check up in 2 weeks.

Aw glad baby bear is ok. Why do you need admission at 38 and a 9 day stay because of the position? Hopefully he'll move over a bit as the weeks go on!

I am 30 weeks today!! Twin 1 is head down cephalic and Twin 2 is transverse and high up! Can't be comfy for them like that!! Wonder if they'll move? Can't be much room for them now surely?! Am going to pack my bag this weekend just incase.

I am struggling with my aching and jumping legs. They are driving me crazy!! Got a cold as well and all bunged up so feeling a bit crap.
Hope you're all well xxx

RafflesMaidenSister · 19/05/2017 18:07

Good news Lolly and fingers crossed Bear.
All good here, except it's the baby show tomorrow and now I'm regretting saying I'll go. Sure it'll be good when I get there Hmm

Bear2014 · 19/05/2017 19:37

with transverse lie of this type, baby is at the top and cord dangles below so if your waters break, the cord can come out first (prolapse) and deprive the baby of oxygen. So they keep you in hospital and if you go into labour, it's a crash section. But they won't deliver til 39 weeks, so you have to wait a week for that then the usual 2 days c-section stay. Tiresome!

Glad all ok with you, 30 weeks woohoo!

Bear2014 · 19/05/2017 19:38

With DD i was in hospital Christmas and New Year so at least that won't happen again.

Raffles, go nuts!! You'll enjoy it when you get there xx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 19/05/2017 20:13

Oh lolly just seen you're feeling a bit crappy. Hope it improves for you xx

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 19/05/2017 20:24

Ah I see!!! Well hopefully he'll move to avoid all that and you won't have to stay in too long. Must have been very weird being in over Christmas and NY! Yer I'm feeling pretty crap to be honest but hey ho!!
They asked me about birth this time and I'm not really sure! After the consultant said it was safer with two to have a c section that's what I wanted. And upon reading there is less that can go wrong etc (when there's two of course). So do I just say next time I want one? Not sure how it works!

Yer just go for it at the baby show Raffles. Embrace it all, you deserve it. Make lots of fab purchases and enjoy it all!! I'm sure it'll be great. xxx

RafflesMaidenSister · 20/05/2017 10:31

Hope you're feeling better Lolly.
Baby Show going fantastically so far Hmm. We haven't left yet because we didn't get in from work until gone midnight and I have no printer ink to print the tickets. Mr RMS is livid because he is tired and I'm incompetent and disorganised so I can see this being a laugh a minute ...
Have good weekends all!

FraggleRock77 · 20/05/2017 10:48

Sounds tough Lolly. Hope you're feeling a little better today? Oh no Raffles, i hope you manage to make it!xx

RafflesMaidenSister · 20/05/2017 21:50

Thanks Fraggle, we did make it and even managed to avoid falling out. It was as horrific as you'd think but we made a start on buying things and chatted to the private midwives service we might use, so totally worth it.
Best bit was we mad a detour to meet my 13 day old niece who was gorgeous.
Hope everyone's having good weekends. X

Bear2014 · 22/05/2017 09:39

Raffles glad you survived the experience and got some nice baby cuddles. Not a terrible day overall!

Fraggle hope you're not losing your mind and everything is still snug and stable in there.

Lolly hope you're feeling a bit better? It's good that you might end up having a choice of birth plan, good to keep an open mind. Some people have good natural birth experiences with twins and the recovery would be quicker. I would probably just go with whatever they recommend.

Baby Bear still crushing my stomach, I've made the switch now so I have my main meal at lunch and cereal only for dinner. It's made my last 2 nights a lot less disturbed, swigging on the Gaviscon at all hours. I have to go see the GP this week about the heartburn as our midwives are no longer able to prescribe! Annoying to have to fit more appointments around work and DD.

Have a good day all!

Lolly2803 · 22/05/2017 10:05

Great you've started buying Raffles! How exciting! And lovely to see your niece, won't be long till it's you! Eeekkk!

Bear I'm feeling a bit better thanks. Still bunged up but feeling less ill.
Well they did say have you thought about what you'd like so from that I'm assuming I get to choose?! But I'll ask at my next appointment and come with what I want.
Bear I got prescribed Ranitidine tablets for heartburn. Mine is bad when it's here but I don't have it all the time. It does get rid of it right away though so hope you get some too!
I still haven't packed my hospital bag which apparently I should have so going to do that today.
Looking forward to some lovely weather this week!! xxx

Bear2014 · 22/05/2017 10:24

Yes Ranitidine is what I had towards the end last time - the MW prescribed it and they doled them out to me like sweeties in the hospital Wink It's so early this time though, I'm only just 28 weeks and I've needed it for weeks already. It's definitely true that everything kicks in earlier second time round.

Exciting times packing hospital bag!!

FraggleRock77 · 22/05/2017 10:27

Oh Bear! Heart burn is the worst. I spend half the night sucking on Rennie tablets and drinking milk! Yep, i'm hanging in there. Have Netflix to pass the days. Pleased to hear you feel a little better Lolly. I've got my next appointment on Thursday, roll on three days!!x

Bear2014 · 22/05/2017 12:06

It's yuck isn't it! Did you suffer last time as well, Fraggle? Thank goodness for Netflix! New House of Cards next week Smile Do you have to lie down all day as well as be in bed? As it's definitely the lying down that triggers it for me.

OP posts:
FraggleRock77 · 22/05/2017 12:49

I didn't have it last time. Mine just seems to be a problem at night but I'm laying down most of the day! Who knows!! Did you have it last time? 28 weeks Bear, getting there!!x

Bear2014 · 22/05/2017 13:25

Yep it's definitely a 'lying down' problem so no wonder you have it this time. I had it very badly last time, from about 30/32 weeks. I carried DD very high up in my body and she was 9.3lb so I put it down to that. This one seems to be in the same position, so I'm obviously prone to high-up, heartburn-inflicting children Grin

Getting there, still 9 weeks left at work but hopefully it will all start to speed up a bit from here.

I still feel for you in your bed-ridden state though!! xx

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 22/05/2017 13:46

Hang in there ladies!! Hope all goes well on Thurs Fraggle. Not too long to wait.
I've heard everything comes earlier with the second but annoying it's the good as well as the bad!! Still we are all ticking off the weeks ladies!! Wahoo!!
I can't walk far at all without my feet swelling up and my hips hurting.
Totally forgot about new House of Cards next week....brilliant!!!!!

Yep got to get the bag packed tonight just incase. Hoping babies stay in for long as possible especially given our house situation!! We must be crazy!! xxx

Floellabella · 22/05/2017 14:45

Good luck packing your bag Lolly! I was thinking I should start thinking about it, just in case. Have another midwife appt tomorrow but otherwise not much action to report this end. Sorry to hear about the proliferation of heartburn everyone! I had a little bit at night after a big late dinner the other day but so far so good... I guess plenty of time yet though. Hope you're managing Fraggle and yes I am also looking forward to new HOC Smile

MrsCrabtree · 22/05/2017 14:46

Oh bloody hell posted with wrong username again! Must get grip x Grin

Lolly2803 · 22/05/2017 17:08

Yer I've been meaning to do it for ages but just keep saying I'll do it tomorrow.
The twins have been quiet today....hate the worrying about movement!!

Bear2014 · 22/05/2017 19:30

Yep you might as well just do it - if it's sitting there packed, nothing will happen for ages Grin sure everything's fine with the babies xx

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 22/05/2017 22:24

Most of it done!!! Babies bag done. My bag mostly done but will leave open for a few more bits to add etc. Feel better now and as you say now it will mean they won't come for ages which is great! Haha!

Babies be quieter but def sprang into life after dinner so all good (I hope).
Trying to book in for a pregnancy massage this week. My hips are SO painful.
Wishing you ladies a cool night both in body and heart!! Xxx
