Thanks @Ginlinessisnexttogodliness !

@weasledee sorry to hear you are going through this. Hope you will be back with us again very soon.

Also sending positive thoughts to those of you with further tests and scans this coming week.

Welcome @StAlphonzospancakebreakfast and @AnUtterIdiot and @OhSoCheekyChick . When I was 37, my T21 risk with DD was 1 in 500 and it was considered low risk. So now I'm 40, I'm expecting it to be something like 1 in 200-300, similar to yours. I'll get the results this week so will let you know! So I don't think 1 in 240 is particularly high risk, but I totally understand wanting the Harmony test. I'm still considering it too.

weasledee · 23/04/2017 18:54

Thanks everyone...
Yes Pingus, hoping to join the group again very soon :) x

Disastronaut · 23/04/2017 19:15

Thanks ginliness it's been ok for the last few days, so I'm hoping that's it for now.

Sorry for your loss, weasledee hope to see you back v soon.

Russkispy · 24/04/2017 13:45

Hi ladies,
Sorry to hear about sad news of dime members and congratulations to others, although I understand they're still cautious.
Just got back from my 32 weeks scan. Babi is 4lb 10 now!! And we saw her clear and face to us and she's got my mouth, my lips!! Seen so clear!! One more scan to go at 36 weeks and on 1/06 I'll get my date for CS. Omg! It's all happening!! And still very unreal. Hospital and Babi's bag are ready, to make it even more real.

Teabagtits · 24/04/2017 20:06

Hey russ good to hear the scan went well. Can't believe it's getting so close to due date now!

I'm 30(ish) -I've actually lost count now- weeks and insanely thirsty. I want to be drinking coke but am restricted to one can a day and there's only so much fresh orange my stomach can hold. Water isn't helping - argh! Anyone else this thirsty?

StAlphonzospancakebreakfast · 24/04/2017 20:41

I get so thirsty when I'm pregnant @teabagtits! With the other 2 it was fizzy stuff, which I tried to keep to fizzy water as much as possible, but I even used to crave those effervescent vitamins!
This one is more apple juice, flat lemonade. I always find it weird that I only crave drinks!

StAlphonzospancakebreakfast · 24/04/2017 20:42

Well you know, and cake Hmm

Teabagtits · 24/04/2017 23:11

Damn you stalphonso I'm now wondering if it's too late to make cakes. I know my rls is going to get bad soon which means no sleep for hours yet. Cake might make that better

GreedyDuck · 25/04/2017 07:59

Thanks ginliness. Unfortunately they couldn't get a clear shot at the placenta. However a detailed scan has shown up more issues and my combined bloods and nt measurement gave a 1 in 3 risk of Edwards. I can either wait three weeks for an amnio and definite diagnosis before having a tfmr, or end it now. Shit choice. I feel like I'm in a living nightmare, it's making my mmcs look like walks in the park. Not sure if I will have the courage to ever try again.

Good luck to everyone else. X

PingusMistress · 25/04/2017 09:39

Oh @GreedyDuck , how hideously awful for you Sad I can't imagine what you are going through. And three whole weeks to wait for amnio? As if you haven't waited long enough already! Big sympathy and hugs FlowersFlowersFlowers

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 25/04/2017 10:09

Greedy, I'm really sorry. I was wondering yesterday how things had gone for you, and was so hoping you'd post with some more positive news. Sending you hugs

Have you had some counselling or contacted arc to get some advice or help? What an awful position to be in, I think if it were me I'd have to know for certain before a tfmr. I hate these bloody numbers, you can't think straight for them, all you see is that 1 in whatever.
There's an antenatal tests section on here, was wondering if anyone on there could help too.

What's your instinct telling you to do? xx

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 25/04/2017 10:16

I've finally got a date for my scan next Wednesday. Already dreading it.

In top of all that the hospital have mixed up my previous postnatal and now antenatal records with someone else with the same name and DOB as me. According to them when I rang yesterday -to change scan time due to childcare nightmares as usual -I've had five children erm no I haven't. Even worse my children apparently are hers. Spent several hours in tears on the phone to PALS how are helping me lodge a complaint to be investigated.
Then went out to buy some clothes as I am starting to resemble the Colossus of Rhodes at just under twelve weeks. Whilst in said shops my OH rang to inform me our boy had face planted the concrete floor and had a "rather big lump" on his head. Cue me sitting in paediatric a &me for three hours with a three year old who wouldn't let me stay at home with his baby sister, you take me to hospital mummy. I was then emotionally blackmailed into pizza and PJ Masks on YouTube until 9pm.....

He's ok but what a day.

Teabagtits · 25/04/2017 21:27

There's a 45 year old woman on one born every minute having a midwife led waterbirth. It is possible so keep fighting for it if that's what you want!

Iusuallylovecake · 26/04/2017 06:35

greedy duck so sorry for everything you're going thru, it's awful. My previous pregnancy was diagnosed as triploidy at scan and we had the same wait for tests and results. Sending soooo many hugs. Flowers

Brugmansia · 27/04/2017 06:50

Second scan today. Fingers crossed.

PingusMistress · 27/04/2017 07:11

Good luck @Brugmansia

weasledee · 27/04/2017 07:15

Good luck brug! x

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 27/04/2017 09:41

Best of luck Brugs 🍀 x

Brugmansia · 27/04/2017 16:15

Thanks.

So still in limbo here. Blob has grown a bit and is now consistent with 7 weeks but still no heart beat. The nurse said 50/50 chance of progressing to successful pregnancy. I am a lot less optimistic as it is still very behind what I think is possible and the lack of heartbeat is not good. I have another scan next Friday.

I hope everyone else going through tricky times is doing ok.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/04/2017 21:39

Hello!

I'm 43 (definitely geriatric :)), no other kids
SW London
5 weeks
Conceived naturally (with the help of supplements a naturopath recommended to me, cutting alcohol right down, and the 4 rounds of acupuncture probably didn't hurt either)

Teabagtits · 28/04/2017 02:24

I'm awake. I'm not happy about this. I want to chop off my restless legs. I can't face another 8/9weeks of this :(

Gizmojo · 29/04/2017 10:24

Really sorry to hear of those of you that are having tough times. It's such a worry, this whole process, isn't it? Sending you lots of love and Flowers

Lovely to hear from you, [blondes] and so lovely to hear about your lovely baby. You must be such a proud mummy!!

[Teabags] you have my sympathy re the restless legs Cake. Touch wood I'm not suffering that yet but it does seem like a reeeeally long time to wait for baby still.
