Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

I had the feeling when I was 3 days late and we dtd which usually brings af on but it didn't then I got achy boobs and a few twinges in my stomach, I haven't got my first docs appointment till Friday and that only to send a Urine sample to hospital to confirm, I'm sure the weeks will fly by though xx

Moo31 · 14/03/2017 20:09

I'm 6 weeks on Friday too Mrsj! :)

I booked the early scan - 24th March so I'll be 7 weeks - oh is going to try his best to get out of his work thing by saying he has a Dr appt. My booking appt is next Tuesday so I'll be 6+4. Hopefully this next week flies by! Same as you ladies the time seems to be going sooo slow!

Soph your scan pic is class! :)

Tonks - did your midwife try to pick up the heartbeat? :)

MrsB12345 · 14/03/2017 20:25

We fell on the first time we tried. I hadn't even had a proper period (just spotting) since stopping the pill in December. Hubby now talks about his 'super sperm' obvs I had nothing to do with it 😂 I had a feeling something was up as I was temp checking and with EWCM knew I'd ovulated and my temp started rising after that and my boobs were killing me. We found out when I was 3 1/2 weeks pregnant so feels like we've waiting ages already. 33 weeks to go 😬

ew1990 · 14/03/2017 20:38

I'm 6 weeks on Thursday, 😬😬 still doesn't seem real xxx

MistyBxx · 14/03/2017 20:49

I'm 6weeks Thursday too Ew !! My cycle was so regular, my last period was Thursday 2nd Feb, I ovulated on the Thursday 2 weeks later on 16th (we dtd 5 days before ov and the day after ov so not sure which one caught the egg... the swimmers were either chilling out up there and caught the fresh egg or the egg was on its last legs and was ambushed by fresh sperm!) Thursdays are my new favourite day of the week! Every Thursday is another week closer!😍

ew1990 · 14/03/2017 21:22

Aww wow! Have you had morning sickness yet? X

Tonks87 · 14/03/2017 22:03

Sophr yes she mentioned it. She ran through what the tests entailed (first the indicators on the scan/blood test for screening followed by more invasive tests if the risks were higher) and gave us a booklet to read about it more. She said we didn't have to have the screening but would need to decide by the 12 week scan as the window for it is so tight. We're going to sit down and read all about it but my first thoughts are I may as well have the screening but if it comes back as high risk I wouldn't want the invasive tests. It wouldn't change anything and the screening would have prepared me for the chance of it happening.

😍 at your scan! The thought of scans is so exciting, I can't wait for my early scan.

MistyBxx · 14/03/2017 22:22

No morning sickness for me 😳 I don't WANT to feel ill, don't get me wrong lol, but it would certainly be a reassuring symptom for me. I'm currently going through a metallic taste stage where when I eat it all tastes of metal. And boobs are still sore and low pulling and pinching cramps still in lower tum but not as obv as they have been. I've heard it usually kicks in 6-8 weeks plus but I know everyone's different. I'm hoping like my cycles I'm just going to be "average" lol

ew1990 · 15/03/2017 06:28

I've had the pulling and pinching and like you I want morning sickness to kick in for reassurance, xxx

mrsjkerry · 15/03/2017 07:40

No morning sickness for me either ! It's due on Friday...

I woke up with stomach cramps this morning and immediately panicked before I realised it was probably because I was desperate for the toilet 😂

I read quite a funny post a few days ago about a woman who rushed herself to A&E because she sneezed at 20 weeks and felt something pop and go wet so thought her waters had broken but it turns out she'd just wet herself! 🙄 the worry we feel?

Soph the scan is so cute! Definitely going to book in for an early one! I'm constantly tired and I'm bloated all day so I'm hoping no-one in work notices! OH's mum is driving me mad asking when she can tell everyone, I want to wait until I've at least had the early scan but I'd rather wait until I'm a bit further along as I don't want to jinx anything!

Jessiecat27 · 15/03/2017 08:35

Also is anyone else always far too hot and having headaches? It'll be worth it I know but its really annoying aha

sophr2017 · 15/03/2017 08:52

Urgh I am struggling big style from morning sickness, although it should definitely be called 'all day sickness'. I started work at 7.30 this morning and have already have to leave middle of one meeting. I hope this isn't a sign of what today is going to be like 😂

Sarmi · 15/03/2017 08:56

@Jessiecat I completely understand about not wanting to jinx anything!

I've booked my early scan for next Wednesday (should be 7+4). My mum flies into London on the 28th so I had to get the scan done before she got here. I personally would feel better about telling her once we have a scan. Dh will prob tell him parents around the same time, but we've agreed we won't tell anyone else till after 12 weeks.

No hot flashes but I definitely had the chills yesterday! Also feeling super nauseated but nothing has come up yet. Would be a nightmare if I got sick on the tube commuting! 😣

mrsjkerry · 15/03/2017 10:50

Jessie I find myself getting hot flushes!

I'm scaring myself again girlies 😩 feelings in my tum have changed slightly today, not feeling so pinchy and pully like they have been, feeling more achey and (I don't want to say it) crampy, especially towards my lower back. Very similar to normal af pains. I'm 5+6 anyone else feel achey/crampy and backache? I've got quite used to the sharp stitchy pain I've had for about 3 weeks, it was how I first had an inkling I was pg because it didn't feel like af pain. But what I'm feeling today feels more like af but I'm telling myself it's not!x

sophr2017 · 15/03/2017 11:39

Misty I had that for the first few weeks, cramps like I was on my period, I don't think it's anything to worry about at all, feelings will change quite a lot when baby is developing at different stages! I've spent a lot of time in the bath or with a hot water bottle for the cramps! Have you downloaded any apps or anything? I've got a great one that has a daily blog and mentions different types of cramp etc. Try not to stress, it's going to feel different all the time! X

mrsjkerry · 15/03/2017 12:16

Yep misty feelings fluctuate. My back ache went and now I've got AF like cramps come back

OP posts:
Jessiecat27 · 15/03/2017 12:34

Soph well I think my morning sickness has started early, feel so nauseous today!
Sarmi I get the bus so I know what you mean! Luckily I don't have far to go!
Misty mines been going from twinges to aches so I don't think it's anything to panic about!
I did freak out at the idea that in a few short weeks the blob of cells will be a little person, so strange when you think about it!

MistyBxx · 15/03/2017 12:39

Thanks girlies. I'm such a worrier, omg I could make a career out of it 😂 I've got Ovia pregnancy and what to expect, any other good ones?x

Sarmi · 15/03/2017 13:13

Misty I have 3 apps 😂 Bump, What to Expect, and Ovia. I like all three as they are all slightly different and have different articles etc.
I also think that the what to expect when your expecting book is amazing and definitely worth a read.

sophr2017 · 15/03/2017 13:25

I haven't tried any of them, looks like I've got some stuff to check out this evening! I'm only using Pregnancy+ and have loved it so far!

Jessiecat27 · 15/03/2017 14:57

Ooh I haven't tried any yet so I'll be having a look later! (:

mrsjkerry · 15/03/2017 15:51

BabyCentre is quite good

ew1990 · 15/03/2017 15:55

Sorry I keep feeling like I'm butting in Smile I'm at work on 12 hours so kinda hard to keep up! I've still got twinges and little cramps and they proper scare me! We need to stop worrying and enjoy it 😘 xxx
