Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

I spoke too soon! 6 weeks exactly and nausea has kicked in... I feel car sick for the last 3 hours.

Is it weird although it's yucky I'm actually relieved it's finally here?

What a fickle woman I am Grin

Hi everyone, Misty really sorry to hear that your journey this time round has ended, I've been there myself and it sucksSadFlowers
I finally phoned my surgery yesterday and have got my first midwife appointment on the 20 April by then I'll be 10 weeks 3 days. I don't really feel aby pulling or twinges any more do you guys? I'm 8 weeks 1, and have started feeling cold again, I've got a bit of nausea and is not eating as many veg as I just can't stomach it... and ive gone off coffee completely, I normally have a nespresso coffee before leaving for work in the mornings but yesterday I could only manage a couple of sips and that's it.. The thought of a flat white is so not appealing anymore (I never thought I should say this). I still feel a bit anxious from time to time, worried that I'd get to the 12 week scan and it's bad news but I really try to be positive. I'm 84kgSad oh dear...

ew1990 · 04/04/2017 17:25

Hi ladies, I've just bought an ecig- coz I've got no cigs left and I refuse to buy anymore, only had 3 today, my thinking is only use the ecig and then scare myself into not using it coz I don't know what's in it if you know what I mean, xx

Sakura03 · 04/04/2017 17:59

Well done ew! My partner uses ecigs and yes you do wonder what's actually in the liquid but his breathing is a lot better than when he smoked roll ups.

MistyBxx · 04/04/2017 18:29

Hey girlies, I'm still lurking. Thanks sakura it's not a great time but feeling more positive today. Hubs surprised me this morning with a massive kingsize memory foam bed delivered 😍 we were going to get one in a couple of months when my belly started growing coz our small double is shit. I made a passing comment like "oh well we may as well stick with our old bed now hey" and he secretly went and ordered the new one anyway! He may not be a big talker but the boy's actions speak louder than words 💕 looking forward to some babymaking soon!
Also just a quickie about smoking, I quit the day I tested (I had one left in the pack and smoked it straight after coz I was shaking lol then that was it... and I was 20 a day, not even rollies, I was a proper toxin-filled fag-head 🙈) I bought a vape immediately though (literally could not have coped without it, trust me!) Rung the midwife a week later who said vaping is "much better" than smoking. Because not clinically tested, she said she can't actually recommend them as an alternative but that nothing is as bad as tobacco so if that's what got me through, then carry on and she would provide support as time went on to help get me off that as well. I think she was just glad to hear I was trying. Even now I haven't gone back to ciggies although this week has pushed my restraint to the max and I'm struggling as been a heavy smoker since 15, so now with nothing inside me, I'm so tempted 😩 but trying to stay in control. So best of luck to the smokers out there, absolutely anything you do to help cut down is better than nothing so massive hi 5 for that girlies, I feel your struggles xx

sophr2017 · 04/04/2017 19:10

lydiangel83 · 04/04/2017 19:59

Nice pic @sophr2017

@mrsjkerry I'm in same boat as you, stopped running due to injury so put on weight and then put on 2kg since finding out I was pregnant 4 wks ago! Just need to eat all the junk food to stop myself feeling so sick! I'm hoping once nausea passes in a few weeks I can eat properly again?!

THirdEeye · 04/04/2017 20:00

Great picture sophr Grin

I haven't had a bath since I read that info Mrsj....too scared as I really do like a hot bath!

I'm feeling sluggish and somewhat have an unsettled tummy....not feeling nauseous but food definitely sits on my stomach especIlly at night.

Is anyone else as windy as me Blush?

Squigglefish · 04/04/2017 20:05

Sophr that's lush, congratulations.

Girls I'm also paranoid about getting fat. We've got to remember our blood volume is increasing (according to my app) and im sure you're all the same but, I've been drinking loads of water and juice, all combined with carb overload it's bound to add some pounds on. Hopefully it's water weight! Second trimester and we can get back on track.

Squigglefish · 04/04/2017 20:06

thiredeeye I can relate to the wind too Blush haha

mrsjkerry · 04/04/2017 20:20

Yep. All got the wind!

OP posts:
sophr2017 · 04/04/2017 20:22

Thanks all! Definitely got the wind as well! And the weight is piling on, but I figure if you can't do it when you're pregnant then when can you!!

tmc14 · 04/04/2017 20:24

Yes to all the digestive issues! Ha.
I haven't exercised in 2 weeks as was just so tired but went to yoga tonight and feel so much better for it. Took it really easy but felt the benefit of moving around a bit more. Hopefully will have the energy for a short run at the weekend. I miss it so much as it really helps keep my head sane. Is anyone else exercising/struggling to?

ew1990 · 04/04/2017 20:27

@tmc14 I'm struggling right this minute to wash my hair as I just haven't got the energy let alone exercise, my midwife took my bloods yesterday said she's gunna test them for anaemia xx

tmc14 · 04/04/2017 20:32

Ew - hmmm, glad they're testing for anaemia. I've got my booking in appointment tomorrow so might ask. I know it's normal to be tired but I'm not sure how tired is normal!

ew1990 · 04/04/2017 20:35

I had my blood tested last year for iron deficiency and turns out I had low iron and got put on tablets, stopped taking them after a couple of months but didn't just want to start taking them again incase I don't need them, should hear back soon xx

MrsB12345 · 04/04/2017 20:39

@Squigglefish it's windy over here too. Not just little pops either. My husband doesn't even say anything anymore. Oh the shame....!

sophr2017 · 04/04/2017 21:02

MrsB even worse my husband has decided that me doing it must give him free rein to do it, and I'm really struggling with smells and feeling nauseous so it's a vicious cycle 😂

Squigglefish · 04/04/2017 21:27

Hahaha MrsB I've been informed it's mostly when I'm asleep! I've read we came blame progesterone Grin

Jessiecat27 · 04/04/2017 21:28

Haha I just keep getting funny looks in the wind department Blush first midwife appointment today but half of it went over my head! Managed to get our private scan done too! She reckoned I'm more like 7-8 weeks than 8 weeks and one day but it definitely feels more real now! It's so tiny sorry I can't crop it, my phone is being a pain but we managed to see the heartbeat!

mrsjkerry · 04/04/2017 21:29

I burp an awful lot. Oddly, it can ease the nausea sometimes. I still don't do the other wind in front of my husband...yet.

ew1990 · 04/04/2017 21:29

@Jessiecat27 😍😍 it's amazing isn't it xxx

mrsjkerry · 04/04/2017 21:30

What a lovely scan @Jessiecat27. Everyone's is much better/clearer than mine! Mine was like a fuzzy alien 😄
