Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

I have very few symptoms too squiggle, a bit of tiredness but that's it. Was wiped out last week with a cold but apart from that... makes me a bit anxious but everyone is different. I've got an early scan on the 12th (I'm almost 7 weeks) so hopefully will all go ok. If your last scan was on I'd say you're good to wait if you can stand it!

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 20:13

@Squigglefish I know exactly what you mean!! My 12 week is booked for 28th! And even though I had a scan last week I want another one because I'm convinced it will stop developing in the next four weeks!!!

That's just how I feel! I was so poorly from week 6 but seem alright now, apart from the boobs! But that soreness does still come and go. Ugh....what to do! Glad I'm not the only one

sophr2017 · 30/03/2017 20:33

I've got my 12 weeks scan next Tuesday and every single day since my early scan I've almost booked another one!! The only thing that's stopped me is my belly definitely seems to be growing, on saying that I have eaten so much food (and a lot of it junk!!). My boss said I had a bump the other day, I think the majority of it is food at the moment GrinConfused

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 20:35

@sophr2017 how do you handle the wait!!! @Squigglefish sickness comes and goes doesn't it. My friend just had her 12w scan and she only had a few days of bad sickness woke up one morning and it was gone...

I can only hope!

sophr2017 · 30/03/2017 20:37

To be honest it has actually gone so much quicker than expected! I'm sure the next few days will drag!

Squigglefish · 30/03/2017 20:41

@sophr2017 haha I can Defo relate to the carb baby. Healthy food just seems so gross right now.
@mrsjkerry yeah that's hopefully the case. I hope you are feeling better

MrsB12345 · 30/03/2017 20:56

Hi ladies. Got a (strange) question?

Do you feel pregnant? Not as in symptoms but when you look at your tummy do you associate a baby growing in there? I just can't imagine there being anything in there and am 9 weeks tomorrow. Please say I'm not alone???

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 21:12

You are not alone @MrsB12345. I look at my stomach and see fat from all the carbs I've eaten and at this point it's difficult to imagine because it's so small!!

OP posts:
Squigglefish · 30/03/2017 21:47

MrsB not at all! I just see bloat. Sometimes I get a pulling/stitch pain then remember things are going on.

MistyBxx · 30/03/2017 22:50

Evening girlies, I'm just wondering for those who are having any cramps at all, does food have any effect on how you feel? I know obviously I'm in a different situation to a healthy pregnancy so this question may be irrelevant but I do notice that even when I don't cramp all day, in the evening after my main meal, the cramps intensify quite a lot 😳xx

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 22:59

Haven't noticed cramps intensifying with food!!

I have back ache tonight...trying not to panic...

Moo31 · 30/03/2017 23:34

Misty - I feel really uncomfortable and ugh after a meal but haven't noticed cramps intensifying. I'm so sorry you still haven't got answers but try and stay positive. The nurse you spoke to today sounded very wise.

Mrsj - I'm crazing carbs too. Nothing too tasty or flavoursome just carbs. Pasta and grated cheese is my latest! Similarly I have a carb belly which I am telling myself is a bump (even though baby is only 1cm!) I also have a serious thirst on!

ew1990 · 31/03/2017 09:45

My belly was massive yesterday but that's coz I ate 6 packets of crisps along with everything else, and I was at work! I spent half of my time there eating, it's gone down today, I can't even zip up my work pants now let alone button them, my boss is gunna give me some maternity ones when I get to 12 weeks xx

mrsjkerry · 31/03/2017 10:31

I don't fit in any of my clothes and I can't handle the feel of a waistband as it makes the sickness worse. I've ordered a fair few loose fitting dresses which should help

Squigglefish · 31/03/2017 10:41

Ugh this morning I've got heartburn and reflux. Something I've never had in my life....fun times lol x

sophr2017 · 31/03/2017 10:54

Apparently that will become the norm later squiggle!! You get prescribed bottles of gaviscon, many of my friends have said they spent their pregnancy drinking it like it's water 😂

lydiangel83 · 31/03/2017 10:56

I've been so nauseous almost since the day I conceived I think (and apparently my mum was the same!), so just eating whatever chocolate, carbs, anything in sight helps to stop me feeling sick. Sounds weird but eating does help! No fruit or vegetables though! Never eaten so badly in my life!

ew1990 · 31/03/2017 10:59

Girls what happened at your booking appointment with midwife if you've had it, I've got mine Monday xx

Sakura03 · 31/03/2017 11:06

I feel the bloat too, I'm on the train to my friend up north for the weekend and decided to wear a loose fitted dress as I felt so uncomfortable when I put on my usual jeans, I'm a size 16 so I do have to watch what I eat, which is hard when you've gone off you usual food, I used to eat loads of cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli and the likes as part of my dinner every day and now just writing about these vegs makes my tummy turn... I'm so thirsty, I'm on my 3rd bottle of water. Last night I had to get up twice during the night for a wee - but I'm not complaining it's just weird I mean you hear about it all and now we're going through it😊

mrsjkerry · 31/03/2017 11:08

@lydiangel83 that sounds so familiar. Crisps, bread and coke seem to be doing it for me.

@Sakura03 I also worry about the weight gain. I lost a lot of weight for my wedding and looked fab and I've gained about 10kg back...hate it!

OP posts:
Sakura03 · 31/03/2017 11:11

Oh and I'm going to tell my friend that I'm pregnant (we haven't told anyone yet) as we'd always have some G&Ts at her house and go out for cocktails, and a favourite for breakfast is pate on sourdough, so I've got to tell her as that's not going to be an option for a while...

Squigglefish · 31/03/2017 11:12

sophr so gross, this is going to be fun!
ew had mine on Monday, she went through loads of paperwork. Asking questions about your medical history, family history and your other half's history. She asks if you want a home or hospital birth. She asked about screening tests and took my consent for those because they do them at the 12w scan. Lastly she took blood and I had to do a pee sample. I got my bounty pack too and my hospital notes.

Sakura03 · 31/03/2017 11:16

Mrsj oh I so wish I was 10 kg lighter, it was the plan but every month af showed her face I felt so rubbish and sad that nothing happened that I found it hard to stay on track and motivate myself. I seem to be getting my energy back (last week I felt so tired all the time and the nausea was horrendous) so I want to get into a gentle exercise routine and go for walks as well.

mrsjkerry · 31/03/2017 11:26

Well I lost so much weight I lost my periods so I had to gain some back. That's my excuse anyway 😈 but I still feel fat at my current weight and it's only going to climb... 😩
