Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

Morning Misty just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world today. Let us know how those bloods come back.

Mine were so low that I wonder if my body even developed a sac? They couldn't see it on the scan, not even on the internal one. I have a feeling my body never even got to that point.
My last miscarriage was so painful, I am hoping that this one won't be as painful as it seems to have happened much earlier.

I am crossing everything for you today Hun! I do hope that they have gotten everything wrong.

Like you said to me before, whatever happens you will get through it. With the love from your family and from all of us on here. What will be will be. Xxx

sophr2017 · 30/03/2017 08:25

So sorry to hear what you are going through ladies.

Misty hope all goes ok today x

MistyBxx · 30/03/2017 09:17

Thank you tillums and everyone else who has been so kind and caring. People lol at online forums and I'm not saying Mumsnet hasn't introduced me to some terms, scenarios and situations I'd never heard of before and almost wish I didn't know about... but it's also given me some genuine support and for that I will remain grateful. There's nothing else I can do now. This little dot will earn me a phone call from a lovely lady called Paula after lunchtime today (she said it was so busy so I'm not expecting anything til 2pm onwards tbh) and like you say, whatever the outcome, I will get through it. I'd love to be positive but realistically the odds are pretty stacked.
So sorry you're feeling awful as well. Small mercy but if you haven't even got a sac to pass, perhaps it will take less time for your body to get back to normal. I know for a fact that although I've had spotting, no cells/tissue has come out so if my outcome is my nightmare come true, I've then got some decisions to make about how to physically reach the end... tablets, d&c, natural... who knows. I'll cross that bridge when I come for it. Right now I'm chilling with a decaf and feeling strangely calm. Speak later ladies. And tillums my hearts going out to you chick xx

Lucya123 · 30/03/2017 09:35

So sorry to hear about your situation Misty and Tillums. I have everything crossed for you both xx

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 09:50

@MistyBxx glad you feel like the forums have helped. I think they're definitely a great place to let off steam because you can't offload everything on to husband, and people eventually get sick of your whining, especially if they are not in the same boat! Plus, as we haven't told many people (though the circle is widening because I've been so sick) there literally weren't many people I could talk to anyway!!

I'll be checking up on here throughout the day - so hoping you get some positive answers. Out if interest, have your pregnancy symptoms continued?

Hoping that you get some positive news too misty.

How are you feeling mrs?

Well, the morning sickness hasn't kicked in but have felt kind of queasy if I've not eaten. I have a midwife appointment next week and either feel really cold or really hot! I could sleep, last night I woke at 12.30am and 3am....I always nod off again but think I would feel less tired if I had some uninterrupted sleep!

tmc14 · 30/03/2017 10:10

Peppercorn17 · 30/03/2017 10:19

DarcyParty · 30/03/2017 10:41

I have my 8 week scan today and I'll be thinking of you both today x here's hoping it's good news for you xx

Sakura03 · 30/03/2017 12:08

Sorry to hear what you are going through Tillum and MistyFlowers.

Good luck with your scan Darcy

Jessiecat27 · 30/03/2017 12:18

Thinking of you both today! I've not been on in a few days, I can manage water and a bit of food but that's about it! Few days to go and then I'll finally have my booking in appointment!

MistyBxx · 30/03/2017 15:42

Hey girlies. So the lady rang me back this afternoon to let me know that the hcg levels in my blood went from 3786 to 4179 in 48hrs. Although this is a rise, she said it's not significant enough a rise to be considered a viable pregnancy... yet she can't rule that out completely because she said the hormones are just a guideline really and she said that people have had low rising hcg and a scan has gone on to show a healthy foetus and they've had a successful pregnancy. She also says that people whose hcg has risen perfectly at this time have found their pregnancy to have failed at the next scan... so she just couldn't be definitive either way.
She said that usually such a small rise over the 2 days would make her concerned for an ectopic pregnancy (which again she also hasn't ruled out) but she noted how clear my ovaries were and the lack of lumps, bumps or loose fluid on my scan from Tuesday and said that was a positive sign. I did mention I've had really bad crampy pains for a couple of days and again she just said she doesn't know for certain going from the blood hormone levels. Incidentally I've had no pains at all today and just tiny bits of brown spotting.
The bottom line is they've made another scan apt for me at 9:00am Tuesday.
I asked her do I have any hope at all and she said that's a hard question because she doesn't want to pretend the chances are high of a successful scan and a healthy foetus because ordinarily at these levels, the pregnancy could well still be failing.... but she just can't be 100% so said a "little bit" of hope and positivity is a good thing but don't "expect" a happy ending.
This next scan will be a week after the first one I had with them, and 12 days after the very first one I had privately. Surely this has to be the one where I get a definite answer one way or the other 😖 I've already had 2 scans showing empty sacs, so that in itself is not a good sign and she said that means that whatever the outcome, there's no way I'm anywhere near as far along as I thought I am, and that's just looking at the previous scans and the best case scenario.
I've tried googling hcg levels to see if the numbers even correspond to anything I can understand but there seems to be so much differing info on them online that basically I don't know what I'm looking for.
So yeah. Another day in limbo and another 5 day wait.
Hope your scan went fab darcy would love to see a pic if you have one 😍
Sorry you're feeling so sick jessicat.
Hope everyone else is feeling ok xx

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 15:50

Well I would still consider this good news @MistyBxx!! It's a rise and fairly high level. It's horrible to have to wait another 5 days...but here's hoping Tuesday's scan shows something!

OP posts:
DarcyParty · 30/03/2017 16:01

I would be carefully hopeful with the hgc rise - it sounds like something is going on still- you're not out yet, I'm hanging on for you pet xx

(I wasn't sure if you'd like to see the pic or not x )

The scanner said the pole and yolk is there, everything is how is should be for my stage, except I'm a little earlier than I first thought. The heartbeat was a little manic flutter, couldn't miss the little thing. I did have a little tear when I saw it x

MistyBxx · 30/03/2017 16:12

Thanks darcy I defo wanted to see the pic, other people's journeys are important to me 🌺 that's a lush scan! So did they say how many weeks/days you are? As we were originally due the same day I think weren't we? Just wondering if you're a little earlier than you thought then perhaps I'm even earlier again....(clutching at straws here of course!)
Thanks mrsj I'd love to be positive about it all but I'm just too scared 😳
This is going to sound like them most awful sentence ever but I've got a funeral tomorrow and travelling from South Wales to Liverpool so am looking forward to getting away for a couple of days and seeing family (even though it's terrible circumstances) will give me something else to think about for 48 hours and have to be strong for my mum who has been my rock this last week while going through grief herself love her xxx

DarcyParty · 30/03/2017 16:23

Misty, I don't think that's horrible at all, I agree 48 hours away from thinking about it would do you good (even in sad circumstances x)

I thought I was 8 weeks today, but the scanner got avarage measurements for 7+2, so put my due date back almost a week, 14th november.

I think we get so caught up trying to pinpoint ovulation and dtd days we forget it isn't an exact science!

I was worried, but she said that things change so much at this stage, things can happen very quickly and it's still so early to be exact. X hope that helps!

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 16:35

Just curious @DarcyParty what does the 7.9cm measurement correspond to?

OP posts:
DarcyParty · 30/03/2017 16:39

I think that's either the depth of the scan or my womb size? The measurements they got for the baby was between 1.19 cm - 1.4 cm .

It's so weird looking inside your own body :s

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 16:39

Yeh my baby measured 10.2mm and she said it was spot on for 7w2d.

OP posts:
DarcyParty · 30/03/2017 16:47

Yeah 7.9 cm would be a big flippin baby haha

mrsjkerry · 30/03/2017 17:21

God I am sooooooo bored staying at home sick 😏

OP posts:
MSH2010 · 30/03/2017 18:07

I feel your pain MrsJ however I've got a sinus infection, day 10 of being I'll, but thankfully day 3 of antibiotics and actually feel 20% human again

I'm 12+5 & actually had a bump get in my way for the first time today whilst trying to shave my legs and picking up the bath mat.

I'm terrified at the idea of just how big I'm going to get being my first and twins

Squigglefish · 30/03/2017 19:46

eek got my 12w scan date through. Monday the 28th. I had an early scan last week now I'm considering another in the mean time. Getting paranoid because I feel so well!

To the ladies going through tough times, I've been thinking about you xx

Squigglefish · 30/03/2017 19:56

Oops 24th Blush

MSH2010 · 30/03/2017 20:02

Squiggle I didn't have any morning sickness or illness through my first 12 wks. I'm only ill now because I have a virus :( stay positive x
