Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

Morning all,

@Tillums the app is called 'Daddy' and it has a logo which looks something like a bulls head- he had to pay for it like £2.99 I think but it was well reviewed and has some good info in it- the thing I like about it that the others don't have (aside from the hints to him!) is a timeline which explains in simple terms what's happening each week e.g. Your babies facial features start to take shape this week etc.

@Misty glad the midwife took you seriously after your awful experience with the Dr, I can't believe how terrible they were. Keeping everything crossed for you.

@mrsjkerry I do like a McDs hash brown! But maybe not what you were aiming for today! Smile

sophr2017 · 25/03/2017 09:26

MrsJ good work!! I did that last week, the hash brown was a delight! I really wouldn't feel bad about what we're eating now, a lot of people on line have said they just ate whatever their body would allow them, plenty of time later to eat better!

Sakura03 · 25/03/2017 12:05

Oh I've started fancying carbs big time (been eating lchf since early January). I went out for a meal with a mate last night and I had steak and fries omg it was heavenGrin Mrs the sound of hash browns makes my mouth water! Misty thinking of you, fingers crossed it all goes well.
Are any of you struggling to keep warm? For the last three days I've been absolutely freezing wearing three layers and had to sleep with an extra blanket last night, is this normal? My boobs are still on fire and I'm going off my usual food choices but other than that I feel fine.

THirdEeye · 25/03/2017 12:10

I'm freezing all the time too. I hate feeling cold.

Peppercorn17 · 25/03/2017 12:44

I'm freezing all the time too! Had to sit with my scarf on at my desk yesterday. At least the suns out today!

mrsjkerry · 25/03/2017 12:47

Are you bursting for a wee mrsJ 😂 hope everything goes well and you have a lovely result xx

Jessiecat27 · 25/03/2017 13:52

Hope it goes well!

ew1990 · 25/03/2017 14:03

When I had my scan I had 2 massive wee's while waiting coz I couldn't hold it and had to empty bladder before internal scan coz it was still full xxx

Lemondrop09 · 25/03/2017 14:35

How did the scan go MrsJ? I nearly wet myself waiting as they were running behind then she made me go and do a half pee because my bladder was too full!

This morning I managed to get out of bed and help DH with some cleaning! I'm pleased as I feel awful he's having to do everything while I've spent the last 6-7 weeks in bed vomiting!

sophr2017 · 25/03/2017 14:38

I did the same LemonDrop 😂 She said to let half out as was no point trying to do the scan as I was in so much pain from needing the wee!!

mrsjkerry · 25/03/2017 15:03

No I was told to empty my bladder before as it was an internal one!

Everything is good. Measured exactly 7+1 and we saw the heartbeat. Very happy. Thanks everyone! Here's a little picture of the alien ☺️

Congrats mrsJ that looks so lovely 💚 praying so much that I see that next Monday 😳🤞🏼been out with hubby today for a picnic in the sun, we live 20 mins from the Gower which overlooks some stunning beaches, the sea air cleared the cobwebs that's for sure! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend x

mrsjkerry · 25/03/2017 18:04

Evening ladies. Hope you're all having a good weekend? I'm driving myself mad as can't decide whether or not to get an early scan. I'm 8+1 and can get a £50 scan done on weds if I want to book but I'm scared. What if something is wrong? What if there are two? What if I've imagined the whole thing (at the 9 preg tests are all wrong...). I have no reason to think anything is wrong but then you wouldn't get signs always if there was. I think my mind is working in overdrive!! #help

MistyBxx · 25/03/2017 20:32

mrsb I've just had an early scan (I thought I was 7 weeks on the dot the day I had it) and all they saw was an empty sac which has definitely terrified me of course, they have said I could have got my dates wrong but I don't know how I could have. but has also given me a wake up call, they found a cyst on my ovary which they're now keeping an eye on and I'm referred to the early pregnancy unit for a follow up scan in 9 days time. If anything is definitely wrong, I would rather find out now than at 12 weeks. But it's really upsetting and stressful if you don't get the result you want, believe me. But on the positive side, at 8+ weeks you should defo see more than I did (if your dates are right) and I bet that it's so lovely and reassuring to see a lovely little seed and heartbeat 😍 so you could relax more then for the next few weeks!!x

MrsB12345 · 25/03/2017 21:51

Thanks @MistyBxx

My hubby thinks I shouldn't have one and should chill out about it. Easy for him to say isn't it! I still have all my symptoms and feel ropey, tired, nauseous on a 24/7 basis but I just want to know something is there. I look at my (flabby) belly and can't imagine there being anything in me. Is that odd? Besides the symptoms, I don't 'feel' pregnant...

sophr2017 · 25/03/2017 22:10

To be fair I think you'll panic regardless, I had an early scan and have my 12 week scan on 4th April and I'm still really worried now, so although the scan will take away the nerves for a bit, they'll be back!!

I had really bad nausea from week 6 and this last week has been completely different and now I'm worrying because I'm week 11 which should be the worst for morning sickness and I'm starting to feel fine!

It's a shame none of us can have a drink as I think we all need a large wine/gin and tonic 😂😂

If it'll put your mind at ease for £50 I would do it MrsB x

mrsjkerry · 25/03/2017 22:16

@MrsB12345 I can't imagine there's anything inside me either but i saw the proof today! It makes that little flutter inside more real and gives the nausea more of a purpose. Also- obviously it's only 1CM currently. It's hardly obtrusive at the moment!! Hahaha 😄

MrsB12345 · 25/03/2017 22:18

Thanks for your advice @mrsjkerry @sophr2017. I'll sleep on it and see how I feel tomorrow when I'm a little calmer xx

sophr2017 · 26/03/2017 09:46
