Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

Hi ladies, can I join in??

Currently 5+5 with number 1! EDD 16th Nov Smile Never been pregnant before. Managed to conceive on cycle 3 off the pill, but was our first actually trying, so all seems to be a little too good to be true! No major symptoms either, which I think I should feel lucky about, but makes me slightly nervous I'm making all this up!

Had 2 weeks of general anxiety since I found out, but relaxing a little now, although I think we are going to book an early scan in 2 ish weeks time, when I'll be around 8 weeks! Also need to contact GP this week about booking in! So much to think about / do!

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

MrsB12345 · 21/03/2017 17:29

Hi @Kaydee2017. Welcome to the group. I fell straight away too and on cycle 1 so know what you are thinking as we couldn't believe it happened so quickly and still can't as I had just come off the pill, both ex smokers, both over mid to late 30s and overweight.

Feel free to ask any questions on here. Between us we've gone through every symptom and 'oh shit' moment Wink

Squigglefish · 21/03/2017 17:41

In relation to the dreams, I've had some really bizarre ones. They're SO vivid.
Just been to the doctor today about my sickness, she was lovely and has given me cyclezine to try during the bad days. I've found the sickness has actually eased since the weekend, thank goodness. I'm hoping it doesn't last because I'd lost 6lbs in a week!

OnNaturesCourse · 21/03/2017 18:13

Kaydee, do you have to pay for early scans?

Kaydee2017 · 21/03/2017 18:21

Yes, you pay for them if they're just for early reassurance! Managed to find some places near us who do them for £50 ish, so not too expensive, and just completely for reassurance that everything is ok in there at the moment! Will wait until 12 weeks then for NHS scan, but just seems so long until 12 weeks, and would rather know sooner rather than later if everything isn't ok!

OnNaturesCourse · 21/03/2017 18:35

I might look into that!

Jordan90 · 21/03/2017 19:15

Hi, I'm 5+5days first time.
Everything I feel like little niggles, a few sharp short pains, makes me think the worst.
I'm having to refrain from thinking too far ahead, starting to buy baby stuff etc.
I will have a 7 week scan next Friday. 😬

NicoleC1990 · 21/03/2017 19:20

Hi ladies, please can I join in? :)

I'm 26 and 5+3 with baby no1, EDD 18th November. Still in complete shock as we were ttc for a year (I have PCOS) and just tried our first month of clomid - honestly didn't expect it to work so quickly!

I get an NHS scan at 7 weeks because we were receiving fertility treatment, not sure whether that makes me more relaxed or more stressed! I will probably book a private scan for 10 weeks as all being well we are hoping to tell close family at that point - atm no one else knows except me and my husband (and our two dogs of course!). I've had sore boobs and lots of twinges and bloating but not too many other symptoms as of yet.

I've got a gin tasting with my chums on Saturday and no idea how I''m going to get out of it! Anyone else struggling with excuses already??

tmc14 · 21/03/2017 19:29

Hi Nicole, your EDD is the same as mine! Congratulations. I'm 11 years older than you though 😬 I saw the nurse today so shall await my booking in appointment letter.
I have my hen do in 2 weeks... just a night out locally but I'm known to like a drink so no idea how it's going to go! I plan on telling one friend beforehand in the hope she can help me out... any ideas welcome though.

OnNaturesCourse · 21/03/2017 19:48

Tmc. Say you have a infection, I use a water one, so are on antibiotics and can't drink xx

Unfortunately half my guests are microbiologists so that will be a tough sell! They'll want to see the packet... I think I'm going to have a glass in front of me, pretend to sip it and get my friend to keep switching. Maybe. Or I'll end the night with everyone knowing 🙄

mrsjkerry · 21/03/2017 20:32

Welcome onnaturescourse! I'm also a worrier. Every time I get a twinge somewhere random I immediately think I'm having an ectopic and it's implanted in the wrong place. Got my first midwife appointment tomorrow so maybe that'll calm me down a bit who knows! I feel like I won't really feel sure until I see for real there's a little blob inside of me.

Mrsb - I've taken about 15 tests so far. I stopped with the clearblue 3+ one as I read hormone levels can go down and start to drop and I'd panic if I got a negative now!

Didn't go into school again today. Haven't thrown up and I'm nowhere near as bad as I was but feeling incredibly weak after Sunday night/Monday's sickness. My ribs and back are killing me from all the heaving and wrenching. Really praying it doesn't come back as I'm not sure I could handle it again. Have had mild nausea today. Only managed 3 cereal bars. But anything is better than yesterday.

Welcome to all the newbies :)

How far along can you get with a ectopic?

mrsjkerry · 21/03/2017 21:13

I think you can get past 12 weeks before it ruptures. But obviously they'd discover it at a 12 week scan. I will tell the midwife about the pain in my side tomorrow and hopefully she'll check me out...

Hey girlies, massive hi to all the new lovely ladies!!🙌🏼
So all is quiet on the western front with me. I seem to have calmed down quite a bit. I've got zero feelings in my tum now though 😩 no cramps or pulls or anything. I've been so used to having this little crampy feeling above my foof since before af was due and it seems to have disappeared. Boobs are still sore but still no sickness and I'm 6+5 today.
So feeling weirdly chilled but with background anxiety 😂🙈
Decided to wait to make my midwife apt. My mums elderly cousin has passed away. She was a wonderful lady, almost like a Nanna's to me, and she died suddenly after a short illness. So I've got a funeral up in Liverpool soon (I'm in South Wales) so I don't want to book an apt til I know when that is coz we will be travelling and staying up there for a couple of days. Midwife never rung me back after I left a message yesterday anyway lol. We are not telling people coz it's so early but I text her daughter and told them I was pregnant coz I knew she was so poorly and she was so happy to hear 😍 I'm glad she knew before she passed away.
They do say when a life ends, a life begins. And I've said from day 1 I'm convinced it's a girl 💕
Feeling thoughtful tonight ladies xxxxxx

Misty. I'm a firm believer in that. My great grandmother passed just as my aunt fell pregnant. I was only little at the time but it's how my mind pictured things. I still find it comforting xx

Hi girls! Just got back from hospital, everything's good 😊 could see a little heartbeat, I've just got a tiny cyst on my left ovary but they said nothing to worry about they will check it on my scans, hopefully I won't worry now and can look forward to the 12 week scan xxx
