Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

I work in a hospital and where they do the scans is literally next to my ward, we share the same reception, just gunna have to say it's for something else xxx

MistyBxx · 18/03/2017 22:33

Evening girlies, how are you all? I've had quite a symptom-less day today (except for boobies which although are still slightly tender, are not agony like they have been! And I'm sure they've actually gone smaller!! They looked massive last week but seem to have deflated!) but then this evening, the familiar low down tum twinges have come back and I've just eaten and can taste the metallic taste in my mouth again. I don't notice if every day, only when I eat, and not every time I eat. I'm not sure if it's coz of pg or coz I've quit smoking though as they say your tastebuds change and recover when you quit the fags!x

Morning all. I don't know if this is the start of morning sickness...

Last night we were waiting for our Chinese to arrive (😈) and it took longer than expected and I was hungry. All of a sudden this huge wave of nausea came over me and I felt like I was going to be sick. When the food eventually arrived the smell of it made me feel sick. I ended up eating small spoonfuls of rice bit by bit until I felt better.

This morning I've woken up feeling sick. Went to make my usual Sunday morning yoghurt and granola. Had a few mouthfuls but can't get through it without feeling queasy. Managed to eat one slice of dry bread. Feel a bit better but can't face looking at the yoghurt again.

Was scrolling through a webpage "how to ease morning sickness" and there was a picture of some avocados. I normally add one a day to my smoothie but this morning urrghhhh can't think of anything worse!

Not sure what's wrong with me because I feel like I could walk down to McDonald's and eat some bloody (greasy) hash browns!!

Is this morning sickness or my body just deciding to reject healthier food 😄

Morning @mrsjkerry - sounds like morning sickness to me. I have a constant queazy feeling and I also normally love avocado but the thought of it now makes me want to hurl - especially if it's mashed up

Mine is a constant queazy feeling. All frigging day. Hope it ends soon. I'm 7w2d and have it for the last week x

sophr2017 · 19/03/2017 07:44

Mrsjkerry welcome to the world of all day sickness!! I recommend crackers, rich tea biscuits and Sea Bands 😂

It's ridiculous as I have hated how awful I have felt with morning sickness, however the past few days I have felt slightly better and now I'm worrying as to why I do and where is my morning sickness?! I'm 10 weeks today so shouldn't stop yet!

mrsjkerry · 19/03/2017 07:44

Morning mrsb. It's definitely worse if my stomach is allowed to be empty and then difficult to feel better again. Which is annoying because before being pregnant I tried to eat every 4 hours.

So yours started 6+2? I am 6+2 today...!

OP posts:
mrsjkerry · 19/03/2017 07:46

Oh no. Please soph I can't have this for 4 weeks!! 😩

OP posts:
sophr2017 · 19/03/2017 08:04

Mine also started at 6+2 exactly! Honestly you'll be fine but would really recommend you get some Sea bands as soon as you can, it took the edge of massively with mine and I only discovered them a week or so ago so suffered for quite a while. Also like you said just eat all the time, as I started to feel so sick as soon as I was hungry!

mrsjkerry · 19/03/2017 08:16

I bought some from amazon this morning. They will arrive this evening! 😊

MrsB12345 · 19/03/2017 08:52

@mrsjkerry yeap. Looks like it's a common symptom at this time

I'm currently lying in bed. I went to sleep at 8.30 last night and woke a couple of times through the night for a pee but that's all. 12 hours sleep 🙌🏻 still have sickness though 😩

MrsB12345 · 19/03/2017 08:53

*nausea not actually being sick x

MrsB12345 · 19/03/2017 09:02

Does anyone else get 'feelings' about their pregnancy? I get a feeling we are having a boy but also we might have twins. I have no reason to think this but just have a niggle at the back of my mind that thinks it. Anyone else?Grin

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 19/03/2017 09:04

MrsB, I'm only 4+2 but sure it's a boy. DH is equally adamant that it's a girl though so perhaps it's twins and one of each! They do run in my family so you never know.

MistyBxx · 19/03/2017 10:28

Morning girlies, I'm 6+3 today and not a flicker of sickness or nausea!! In fact I'm just eating everything! Had awful food this weekend, McDonald's, bakery (pasties etc) and a bloody kebab 🙈😳 I'm starving lol. Can't wait to get back to work tomoz so I can eat healthy food again! I eat much healthier during the week than I do on weekends!
I finally get to ring the midwife tomoz and make an appointment! Although the apt itself won't be til I'm 8+ so likely to be 1st week of April. I'm going to have an early scan before that though. Find out what date my apt is gonna be then book the scan so they don't clash. I've never looked forward to a Monday so much lol xx

MistyBxx · 19/03/2017 10:36

Also I'm convinced I'm having a girl. I've been to 3 psychics in my life and they all said "are you pregnant?" No. "Have you got a little girl?" No. "Oh well you're going to." 😳 literally 3 have said that! Mind you, hubs says he keeps seeing things with twins! Fb stories popping up, things on tv etc... and twins did cross my mind because when I took my first test it said 2-3w and I felt that was further along than I thought. Then I had that fright when I did another test 9 days later and it still said 2-3w. Obv that is still in the back of my mind that something could be wrong, but also I've heard with twins you get a higher than normal hcg reading at the start... (this could be me trying to desperately compensate in my mind for why I didn't move up a week when I should have 😩 coz logically surely if it was double babies, the level would move up double quick) anything to take my mind off the worst 😔

Lifmac · 19/03/2017 11:10

Hey! Is it on your right? I had the same and it went. Totally normal apparently :)

Jessiecat27 · 19/03/2017 11:13

We were adamant its a boy until last night, went to a gig and were talking about one of the song names saying we loved it for a girls name, well it wasn't on the set list but after a lot of chanting from everyone in the crowd they played it so maybe it's a sign! My grandad was an identical twin but I don't know of any others in the family so could I still be in with a chance of twins? It was my mum's dad if that helps

Jessiecat27 · 19/03/2017 11:13

Alls I can think of is vingery chips and curry sauce from the chippy, why aren't they open at this time?! Hmm

ew1990 · 19/03/2017 11:18

Morning girls, I was flat at before ten last night and woke up this morning and waves of nausea have hit me, the thought of our usual morning bacon on toast is making me feel even worse, hope everyone else is well? Xx

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 19/03/2017 11:23

Hi Jessie,
I could have this wrong, but as far as I know identical twins aren't a genetic thing, that's accidental when the early embryo splits into two. It's non identical which run in families as that's where you've released more than one egg at once.
That doesn't mean you won't have twins, just means it's no more likely for you than for anyone else without a family history.

Jessiecat27 · 19/03/2017 12:27

Cuppatea thankyou! I wouldn't mind either just wasn't sure! Well I've had a interview bit of brown discharge just now (sorry if tmi) so my brain has gone into overdrive with worry!
