First Time Pregnancy

Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

Oh lemon bless you, so glad you've had a successful scan, despite the worry beforehand! What does it mean by measuring 5 days ahead?
Oh I've never heard of hot baths mrsj I know boiling baths are not ideal (I'm a shower girl anyway) but why is that?

Actually I think baby measured 11+6. I'm actually only 11 weeks and 1 day, so the baby is measuring 5 days further along. When I went for the 8 week scan at 8 + 1, baby was measuring ahead at 8+4 then too. Sonographer said it was fine, just meant growning well and didn't necosssrily mean it would be a big baby, but might mean a slightly earlier due date (which suits me!).

I wouldn't worry too much about one hot bath, I'm almost positive you wouldn't have had it hot enough to do any damage, especially if it was a one off and you're having baths cooler now. Everything is a worry though, isn't it?! DH bought me home a pizza with blue cheese on which I suddenly worried about (but it's was fine as it was cooked)

Well I'm feeling a bit rough tonight girls. Had healthy food today then had a nap after work and woke up feeling really weird, a bit queasy and churning stomach and decided I needed a chicken legend meal 😂 needless to say that didn't make me feel much better. Nausea has eased but tummy is still bubbling away, I feel very windy and a bit of an upset tummy, bleughhh. I thought it was morning sickness at first but that doesn't give you a bad tummy like in the toilet department does it?? Either way, not feeling 100% tonight 😔

Misty that's what I've been like but I put it down to my already dodgy stomach! I keep panicking and struggling to breathe at the idea of there being what will soon be a little person inside me and reading horrific labour stories. Is anyone else like this? It's not the pain I'm worried about though!

I fancy chicken nuggets and chips but unfortunately oh is in work until 7am and they will have stopped doing them by then

I haven't looked as far ahead as labour yet chick. I'm too scared lol I'm literally having to take each day as it comes because my paranoia about everything even getting past the first trimester is putting the fear of God into me 😳🙈 actually my paranoia about getting past every day in every week is bad enough lol I'm going to park the labour worries for another day/trimester 😂😂

Oh good, don't! Ahah in not watching anything like one born every minute either! We will be fine! 😂 I've resorted to toast instead... Boring!

Omg Jessie that is me. I woke up in a panic thinking there were two hearts beating in my body and how strange and then I suddenly thought wtf how is this going to come out of me!!! Unlike you though I DO worry about the pain. Total wimp.

Gosh I don't know how you lot are up so late! I was fast asleep by 8! 😄

It's such a strange feeling and obviously it will get more real when we feel kicks too! My body seems satisfied with the minimum sleep but it gets to mid afternoon and I'm shattered again! 😂

I had a freak out moment when I bought a baby gro just after our early scan and then looked at the size of it and thought, how the hell do I look after something so small 😂

Aww ahaha! I think the early scan will either make me calm down a bit or I'll panic more, can't win! 😂

Morning all:) I'm still just taking it day by day to be honest, 6 weeks on Monday, I'm debating when to ring my doctor surgery, I definitely won't do it until I'm 8 weeks but should I wait until I'm 10 weeks? Are most of you guys going for early private scans?

Sakura, have you not spoken to the doctor at all? The NHS website advises you call your doctor as soon as you know you're pregnant as booking in appointments are different in most areas. Most see you around 8 weeks so you'll want to call before then to get your appointment anyway, otherwise you could end up waiting longer!

Sakura I'd ring them on Monday to get booked in, still waiting for my appointment letter! I woke up with a stabbing pain behind my left breast, hard to explain but I'm wondering if I've just pulled a muscle maybe in my sleep

Sophr no I haven't mainly because l mc'd at 5w3d when I was last pregnant nearly 2 years ago, so its been a long road for me. The logical part of me knows you can't jinx things and I try to be positive and tell myself what will be will be.

Jessiecat okay maybe I should pull myself together and make the call on Monday then...

In my area if you have had any previous issues like MC then they see you sooner so well worth getting in contact now!

Thanks sophr I'll get on to it. On a different subjects, are any of you coffee drinkers? Have you ditched the coffee completely? I'm still having 1-2 coffees a day. I drink a crazy amount of water though as I'm constantly thirsty and I'll have 1-2 herbal teas a day as well. Occasionally have to get up for a wee during the night. Today my nips are so sore other than that I'm fine

I'm a coffee drinker! I have my coffee really weak anyway and I'm trying so hard yo drink other things instead! Mine are so sore today too, going to a small gig later so if anyone knocks past me I'm sure there will be plenty of swearing involved!

I used to have a bit of coffee but I'm no addict and have cut it completely. When we go to Costa I just have decaf.

Morning all. I stay up late and I get up late mrsj that's my pattern 😂 fine on weekends, not so fine in the weeks when I'm knackered dragging my ass outta bed at 7am lol.
Yes I'm definitely booking for an early private scan! Can't wait for 12 weeks 🙈
And also I'm a massive coffee drinker, as in proper strong French stuff from the pot, not the pissy Nescafé 😂😂 I knew I couldn't have that so I went cold turkey with a jar of kenco decaf. It's hideous!! And I literally can't keep my eyes open in work, so I caved and had one spoon of Nescafé twice this week. I felt better for it, but not enough 😔

Girls I'm in work on a 12 and half hour today and I am absolutely shattered despite sleeping well! I hope this tiredness stops soon xxx

Never been an avid coffee or black tea drinker, and drink mostly herbal/hot lemon water anyway. I have however, still having one small mocha in the morning but this is now very weak.

Eeekk have just had my dating 12 week scan app letter through from hospital! 4th April can't wait!!

I used to drink lots of coffee and still had 1 cup a day at the beginning of pregnancy but am not drinking it now just because I seem to have gone off all hot drinks other than hot milk! The recommended allowance the midwife said allowed for a coffee a day or 3 cups of tea!
