Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

6 weeks today and morning sickness is bang on time :(

Ive been really wanting mint choc chip ice cream, which I don't usually like, I'm more of a double chocolate kind of girl.

I'm falling asleep all over the place too, which has messed up my body clock and made me feel a bit ill :(

Sorry for the moan, I'm not feeling too clever today, ladies!

MistyBxx · 16/03/2017 13:17

Hey Darcy, I'm 6w today too. Not a smidge of sickness for me though 😳 I've eaten loads and I'm constantly hungry (I've always been a big eater, I'm not overweight but I could be if I didn't rein myself in lol)
I don't want to be sick and my sister wasn't, (she had an invisible pregnancy lol as in, apart from the bump, she felt absolutely perfect! Except tired and puffy ankles at the end!) so perhaps I'm following her. Although my 2 other friends say sickness didn't kick in with them til 8 weeks so who knows!x

MrsB12345 · 16/03/2017 14:37

@Jessiecat27 @NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown I've started watching OBEM and have cried every time a baby is born Blush

Jessiecat27 · 16/03/2017 14:41

MrsB I'm trying not to watch because it always scares me! Did go through a phase a while back of watching 16 and pregnant though because they don't seem to show as much! A colleague came in a few days ago with her newborn and I nearly teared up!

sophr2017 · 16/03/2017 15:12

I have cried pretty much daily about everything, today's has been hearings a song I like and hadn't heard for years on the radio 😂 it's ridiculous! Not even sad just crying at everything!

My morning sickness seems to have been slightly better the past two days, for the first time in weeks so fingers crossed it's fading away!

THirdEeye · 16/03/2017 16:20

No sickness but keep getting a weird taste in mouth intermittently.

The tidiness is ok and some days I'm hungrier than others.

Sometimes I yelp in pain, as I get what feels like I have just pulled a muscle in my stomach.

sophr2017 · 16/03/2017 18:45

Me too THird, particularly if I get up quickly or cough when lying/sitting down! DH gets very panicky when I do that!

MistyBxx · 16/03/2017 19:02

I get that pain girlies!!! I don't cry out, but I do think oooof that was sharp!!😳
I've had the funny taste too third and am definitely hungrier. Just demolished my mums delicious roast chicken dinner. Makes me emosh thinking I can't cook and will probably never be able to make a yummy roast like my mum 😭I'm gonna have to learn and quick! Hubs is a chef though so I've been allowed to be lazy 🙈
Can't wait til Monday when I can phone the midwife! Everything takes so long doesn't it 😩xx

mrsjkerry · 16/03/2017 20:07

I am EXHAUSTED. I can barely drag myself through the school day or keep my eyes open at night. To be fair I am still getting up to do my run before school everyday, I have plenty of energy first thing, just during the day and especially evenings all I want to do is go to bed!

6 weeks tomorrow. I had a funny taste in my mouth too this morning but remained undecided about whether it was my new mouth wash...felt like nausea could threaten; especially as I felt very 'off' my salad at lunch, but nothing in the way of sickness yet. Maybe it'll hit tomorrow/over the weekend

MistyBxx · 16/03/2017 21:14

Me too mrsjkery I've got a desk job and whereas normally I'd turbo coffee it up til lunch and then have a post-lunch slump about 2pm, eyelids are drooping by 10am! Literally 10am! Today I mixed a teensy half spoonful of "normal" caffeine coffee into my decaf coz I actually thought i was gonna fall asleep. Felt awful though, really don't want to have any, I'm trying to hard to be good. But it did the trick I think, wasn't quite as sleepy til after lunch!
Absolutely not a dot of sickness for me either. I'm almost wishing it kicks in now though coz I'm eating like a horse, I need something to pull me away from the carbs, crisps gravy and chocolate muffins 😂

MrsB12345 · 16/03/2017 21:25

I'm 7 weeks and I am feeling queezy daily and am also VVV TIRED. Need a nap daily. Am off this week so easier but dread to think what next week back at work will be like x

Sarmi · 16/03/2017 21:37

Hey y'all! I had to switch off from mumsnet/ Dr Google for a bit, as I had very little brown spotting and had a major freak out! Went to a clinic and did another blood test and everything looked ok. Had to literally sit and take deep breaths for 5 mins as I thought I was having an anxiety attacek (work in a law firm and it is extremely stressful at the moment)! I feel so much better now so it's all good.
I have another doc appt on Monday and have booked an early scan for next Wednesday! I can't wait! Off to Lisbon for the weekend and hopefully can stop stressing for a bit 🙄
I'll be 7 weeks on Sat and it feels like the days are absolutely dragging. I'm feeling super nauseated now but boobs still small and pain-free. Hoping the nuggets will grow at least a tad!

ew1990 · 16/03/2017 21:40

@Sarmi I'm hoping my nuggets will start growing too!! Glad everything's ok, I'm six week today and still spend every minute of the day in constant worry, please tell me everyone else does too xx

Sarmi · 16/03/2017 21:47

@ew it's way too easy to worry and stress about everything! I keep thinking that each test or appointment will de-stress me, but it lasts about 1 hour and I start stressing about the next milestone etc. Just cant stop can we?!? Though I am making a conscious effort not to stress and try and enjoy this time with the hubs. We have a fun date planned for every week and it has definitely helped!

MistyBxx · 16/03/2017 21:58

ew absolutely 😳 all I want to do is relax and think of names, and shop for tiny clothes and tell all my friends and bask in the glorious pregnancy glow looking forward to a gorgeous baby 😍 but I'm literally taking each (loooooonnnnng) day as it comes. I've already phoned the midwife twice out of panic! To be fair, the clearblue test really scared me 😔 I'm still scared about it now but there's nothing I can do. I'm not taking any more tests. Boobs are still very sore but don't look any different, nips haven't changed size or anything. Still ever so slightly crampy in very low tum. But not a spot of morning sickness and I'm 6w today. It's terrifying. Im 32, healthy, no previous Mc or chem pg or ecto pg, I've had no bleeding or severe cramping, I'm not overweight, I've quit smoking and drinking, I'm eating healthy, taking supplements and trying to rest, there's no obvious reason anything bad should happen and the midwife said this over the phone but as we all know, there's no rhyme or reason to anything ever really happening to anyone, it's all statistics and nature's plan... and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it 😳 booking my early scan for last week of the month which will be before my first midwife apt (private scan from 7w, midwife won't see me til 8+ and I'm not waiting!)
So literally all we can do is just try (so very hard) not to worry. She said on the phone to me, I should be expecting this pregnancy to result in a baby but be aware that not every pregnancy does... instead of waiting for something bad to happen and just hoping to have a baby if it doesn't 🙈 so difficult though xx

MrsB12345 · 16/03/2017 22:11

I'm the same ladies. Now up to 8 or 9 preg tests. Constantly in a state of worry "is this pain normal" "should I have this bad backache". My hubby tries to reassure me but he's not going through this. I know it sounds mean but he literally has no idea of the feelings/aches/twinges we have going on I fully appreciate his support but I just want the baby now. Anyone who says they enjoyed pregnancy is telling porkies surely?! I'm on constant alert. I still check my tissue after a wee to make sure there is no blood. Don't think I will ever stop Hmm

MrsB12345 · 16/03/2017 23:05

I've just found this and love it. This should be our mantra ❤ night all xx

First Time Pregnancy
sophr2017 · 16/03/2017 23:10

MrsB, I literally do that every time I go to the loo, glad it's not just me!!

I'm starting to feel a lot more chilled in general though, just waiting for my 12 week scan app letter but getting much more used to weird feelings in my body and not instantly worrying every time! We'll get there in the end ladies, before you know it we'll be sending the scan pictures then the pictures of new babies 😍

Jessiecat27 · 17/03/2017 07:23

I'm checking everytime I go the loo too and will probably carry on! Still waiting for my first appointment but we're going to book in for an early scan because I'm driving myself demented, horrible nausea today! Lying here debating wether I really need to go to work Blush

mrsjkerry · 17/03/2017 07:48

Haha! The checking for blood thing is definitely something I do too 😄 that sounds so familiar!

Misty do you still your stitch feeling? Mines in my side and although feels too high up to be pregnancy related, it was one of the first "odd" things that happened and hasn't gone away since!

6 weeks today 🎉 felt a bit off this morning. More food aversion that sickness. Boobs massive. Not sore. Wish my midwife appnt was today and not next Wednesday!!!

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 17/03/2017 08:17

Morning girls, I can barely feel my stitchy feeling today. It's definitely got less noticeable 😳 same as you mrs it was one of the first things I felt that I thought hmmm this isn't quite the normal impending af cramps... so I quite enjoy feeling it now, and worry if I don't 😔
I'm just looking forward to Monday now (this is unheard of for me on a Friday haha) coz I can actually MAKE my first midwife apt! Once I have that date, then I can book my early scan (don't want them to clash see).
Not a flicker of sickness today again!

Holz657 · 17/03/2017 08:20

I'm 21 weeks today and I'm still a nervous first timer! Hope everyone is well xx

mrsjkerry · 17/03/2017 08:21

No mine isn't AF cramp style. Mine is like I lifted a heavy weight and pulled a muscle. It's been there for weeks and I can't get rid! I did ring the doctor who said if I wanted to come in and be checked over to book into their urgent care clinic but I can never phone at the required time because I'm teaching Hmm mine is more in my rib area.

I do have pulling lower down like everyone else too. Whose is on the left? Or right? Mine is deffo predominately left. Apparently that's associated with female births 😇

Sakura03 · 17/03/2017 08:24

Hello all I'm still around, I too can't help checking my knickers every time I go to the loo... yesterday I was so busy at work that I hardly thought about being pregnant/being worried which was really nice as the time is so loong.... Mrsj congratsFlowers I'll be 6 weeks on Monday. I don't think I will contact my doctor until I'm 8-10 weeks along.

THirdEeye · 17/03/2017 09:46

Anyone else feeling either really cold or too hot?

I am having night sweats, so wake up drenched and then the last few days have felt really cold during the day.

Today I just feel off..
