Ginger I'm so sorry, there are no words that seem adequate at times like this.

Be kind to yourself. X

INeedNewShoes · 13/03/2017 17:52

Ginger - I'm so sorry Flowers You sound very brave. Remember to look after yourself and allow yourself the time you need to recover.

Oh ginger I am so sorry, like alb says it's so unfortunate after what happened last time too. Do let it out and don't bottle it up if you feel like it. I hope you have great support in real life and all the best. We really enjoyed your company on this thread 💐

GingerHanna · 13/03/2017 18:46

From one Ginger to another, I am so awfully sorry you're having to go through this.

Wishing you all the best for tomorrow. Flowers

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 13/03/2017 19:03

Oh ginger I'm so sorry, look after yourself and don't be afraid to take more time from work if you need it.

I really hope they do a good range of tests and can give you some answers/solutions.
My heart goes out to you and your DH and I hope things turn out well for you soon.

Gingerbreadmam · 13/03/2017 19:12

thanks everyone.

yes if i need longer i will definitely take it. will see what the gp's advice is on Monday.

Alb1 · 13/03/2017 20:06

I'm glad they've managed to fit you in quickly ginger I hope the GP helps you get some answers. Can only imagine how your feeling this evening Flowers

Baby is having a quiet evening, she was moving normally (I think) up until a few hours ago. I've drank cold water and eaten sugary stuff but it's not woken her up properly. I think I've felt a few small kicks but I can't be sure, I can remember my last DD 'moving' in the days after she died while I was still carrying her so unless baby properly wakes up I can't trust it. DH will be home around half 9ish so il go to get checked then. Wish I had a home Doppler to try and get some answers while I'm waiting Sad

INeedNewShoes · 13/03/2017 21:05

Alb - easier said than done, but try not to worry too much.

My baby doesn't follow the regular pattern of movement thing at all. He/she has a day or two of activity then tends to go quiet for a day or two. Its unnerving but the CTG monitor and scans have shown that everything has been fine so far. It makes it very difficult to judge when to go and get checked out.

If your baby is still quiet at 9:30, you may as well go and have some monitoring done. There's no harm at all and hopefully after that you'll be able to get a good night's sleep.

My baby is on a quiet day so I'm going to get into bed, drink a large glass of cold water and put some classical music on loud. That usually gets a kick or two!

Alb1 · 13/03/2017 21:16

I've had a few kicks now so my anxiety has calmed, but I still feel really shakey like I haven't eaten all day, and my resting heart rate is 110bpm, I was monitored constantly for 48 hours last week and it didn't vary from 80-90 bpm the whole time so I'm wondering if the heart medication for the baby's svt is now giving me a hard time. Or wether I'm just crazy and need a good nights sleep. Pregnancy just makes me loose all reason, although I'm sure everyone on this thread knows that feeling to some extent.

I hope you get some good kicks ineed there's no better feeling Smile

knorrig · 13/03/2017 21:35

Alb - I agree to go and get checked tonight just to put your mind at rest, feeling stressed about it might be leading to your high heart rate.

Thinking of you

Alb1 · 13/03/2017 21:41

I phoned maternity assessment and they literally said they can't do a ctg before 28 weeks and baby's movements don't have a proper pattern before then anyway, so I can go in for a quick listen if I feel the need but that's it. They told me last time I didn't need to go in and they were wrong, but if there not going to even take me seriously I'm not sure there's any point Sad

INeedNewShoes · 13/03/2017 21:48

Alb - Its not that they're not taking you seriously. I had exactly the same response when movement reduced dramatically for me at 24 weeks in January. Its because the CTG can't get a good enough reading before 28 weeks and they don't do scans overnight generally (or, it seems, in my case on a Sunday afternoon). My hunch is that if you phone in the morning you'll get a more helpful response. If you've had a few kicks this evening, that should reassure you that things are ok for now Flowers

purpleviolet1 · 13/03/2017 22:25

Alb, sorry to hear you aren't feeling as much movement. I would still go in, for peace of mind, for myself. Don't give a toss how they are with you, even if they listen in with a Doppler it will put your mind at ease. Xx

fuzzywuzzy · 13/03/2017 22:49

Alb go in anyway, as pp have said at least you'll get the reassurance of having them listen to the heartbeat.

Alb1 · 13/03/2017 23:03

I've come in, I made the wrong call last time and paid for it so atleast now I'm here it's out of my hands, a weight has been lifted just by arriving here. Not been seen yet and of course baby is now moving loads, I don't care tho, I've been told a million times to come in rather than sit and cry so here I am. I hope there nice to me Confused thanks everyone, having people to talk to about it makes such a difference Flowers

knorrig · 13/03/2017 23:10

I hope they're nice to you too! And you get some peace of mind Flowers

Alb1 · 13/03/2017 23:19

No peace of mind here, the heart beat is now slow and irregular, I'm never gonna get to take this baby home am I? It's not even the SVT cos that makes her heart go too fast. Atleast I've come in tho, just shows getting checked is always better than not

INeedNewShoes · 13/03/2017 23:22

Oh Alb. Sorry. Have they said what they'll do now?

fuzzywuzzy · 13/03/2017 23:33

Alb you're in the right place, do they have any suggestions for what they'll do next?

How many weeks are you now?

Alb1 · 13/03/2017 23:38

26+1, there just discussing it now, I'm trying to get them to phone the specialist hospital I was in last week tho cos there talking about delivery here and that's just a knee jerk reaction. Il keep you all updated though
