purpleviolet1 · 12/03/2017 10:18

Welcome Hanna!

Alb yes defo slow down, take this time to rest!!

Aww she is gorgeous whatser, can you believe she is here and yours? Not getting enough ramp up in the pains so think I'll probably just be having the elcs on Friday 24th. Less than 2 weeks eek!!

littlepooch · 12/03/2017 12:03

Hello all, just checking in. I've been a bit quiet as the HG is getting me down a bit. Welcome to all the new joiners.

alb so happy to read your update!

purple - sounds like things are starting to happen slowly! How exciting (and nerve wracking maybe too?)

15 weeks yesterday for me, so time is slowly but surely passing. I have my specialist midwife appointment on the 22nd. I have no idea what to expect as last time with DD I just had normal appointments but this is at the hospital. I'm praying they will listen for a heartbeat. I'm going to beg them to do something as I just desperately need to know everything is ok and the baby isn't suffering due to all my sickness.

jpeg28 · 12/03/2017 17:48

Hi ladies,
Haven't been on here for ages so sorry if I miss anyone out!!

Sayit so glad your harmony test was low risk and congrats on finding out you're having a boy!!

Amy that's amazing news!! Lovely little blob on your scan!! And that's so cute about your DDs and how they have been talking about you being pregnant!

MrsK glad your scan went well too... miscarriage rates are mega low after 12 weeks... it's hard but keep positive.

Littlepooch I'm sorry you've been so unwell with HG, sounds so hard especially with another baby. Really hope they can give you some meds to help.

Corrina I'm so sorry about one of your twins. That must have been hard... being sad but also happy for the one who has made it. I have no experience but fingers crossed for the one who is doing well.

alb I'm so pleased the meds are working and you're back home!

purple I'm so excited for you!!! Not long now!!

Welcome to everyone new and congrats on your BFP... just to repeat what others have said... today you are pregnant is the best mantra i think... take it a day at a time!

It's a year today since my MC... been sort of sad all day. Told OH and he has probably now forgotten, the MC was hard for him at the time but as soon as I fell pregnant again it's like he forgot about it. I think if I wasn't pregnant today would be harder but least I have my baby kicking me in the ribs to keep me thinking positively!

AmyB1986 · 13/03/2017 09:13

Morning all, hope you've all had a good weekend!

Congrats to any newcomers 😊

I'm on annual leave this week thank god. I've been feeling super nauseous over the weekend. Keep having this really shaky feeling, my blood sugar is so low it's not getting much over 5 all day.

The dilemma with my dd's has been solved. Dd1 outright asked me yesterday so I told her and said not to get too excited but both were jumping around and dd2 keeps saying 'I hope we get a brother if the baby stays this time!' I explained that the baby is only about the size of a Pygmy seahorse and showed them a picture of how tiny they are so now the baby is called seahorse 😂.
Dd2 said she wondered why my boobies were so big and poked at one which really hurt. She said 'I know why boobies are so big, they are just big bags of fat!' She has such a way with words but I was crying with laughter and feel much more relaxed.

Today I'm tackling some cleaning, hoping the smell of my floor cleaner doesn't make me heave this time!

Have a good day everyone 😁

oliversmummy26 · 13/03/2017 10:31

MrsK I've been having sharp stabbing pains every now and then on my right and left side, just above pubic bone. From what I can tell they're normal and are round ligament pains. The ligaments holding your uterus in place have to stretch as it gets bigger and if you move suddenly or cough/sneeze etc. then they can contract. This is what the pain is. Usually more often on the right side than the left. This all matches up with what I've been feeling. They only last a few seconds, so I think as long as it's not prolonged then it's nothing to worry about?

I'm 14+1 today and am convinced I've been getting my first fluttering movements this weekend. They catch me unawares when I'm sitting still, watching TV or trying to get to sleep eg. and if I concentrate on it then I lose it. But definitely not gas or wind as it's not followed up by anything IYSWIM! Blush

One of the girls at work has been diagnosed with Shingles over the weekend, which panicked me slightly, but I think it's only contagious if you come into contact with their rash, which I haven't thank goodness! So that's that panic just about over..

GingerHanna · 13/03/2017 10:56

Thank you for the welcome ladies. I love the mantra 'today I am pregnant'. It still feels really weird to say it (even if it is just in my head).

I will call up the doctor today to get the ball rolling on that side. I've spent far too much time looking at sewing patterns for maternity clothes which is stupid as it's far too early (4+3) to think of such things even if I didn't have the cloud of my previous mc hanging over me!

Working on the basis of trying to keep business as usual until the first scan (at 8 weeks over here as I'm deemed high risk due to my age - 36).

Loving reading everyone's stories. :)

grainmum · 13/03/2017 11:10

oliver do you know if you have had chicken pox before? If you have then you should be immune anyway.

grainmum · 13/03/2017 11:12

I was wondering if I was feeling movements too (14+2) then told myself not to be stupid....

SayItIsntSo1 · 13/03/2017 11:29

12 weeks today here! 3 days to scan and starting to feel nervous. I've been having recurring nightmares and had it again last night. Sometimes it's a miscarriage and sometimes it's just a person standing at the end of the bed. Last night it was the latter. No idea what that one is all about.

Olivers, Grain the thought of feeling first flutters in a couple of weeks is really exciting! I read the other day they can be as early as 14 weeks if it's not first pregnancy Smile

Amy it's lovely you can share the news with your daughters. I am really hoping we can tell dd this week after the scan. Saying that, one of the boys at her nursery announced this morning that his 'mummy has a baby in her tummy' I felt really panicky and got out of there as quickly as I could. I just had an awful feeling that she's about as far along as I am and what if she gets a baby in September and I don't Sad I really must start being more positive...

TheLegendOfBeans · 13/03/2017 11:34

Say I'm having nightmares too...oh god it's good to know I'm not alone.

They are horrible, distressing affairs and have bust me up for the morning after I wake up with them IYSWIM? Urghhhhhh.

In a weird way I'm ok with them though as I remember having crazy as feck dreams when I was pg with DD.

Scan on Thursday. Impatient.

knorrig · 13/03/2017 11:46

Hi All, catching up!

Grain you may well be feeling movement early if there's 3 little beans there for you.

Olivers re the pains, I had similar things, I had what felt like a stitch- it stressed me out at first but google told me it was normal in pregnancy (along with all the other crazy symptoms)

Re dreams - mine are weird too, v long, like a blooming film (rarely make sense though!) I had a stressful one on Friday night that a guy from my work had killed himself, made me feel uneasy all weekend as it seemed so real! I was glad to see him when I got into work this morning!

Whatser gorgeous pic, can't believe how the time is flying!

Alb Glad it's more positive for you now, been thinking of you lots!

Jpeg - well done for surviving the anniversary, they're never easy! My due date for 2nd MC was the day after our 20 week scan so was on my mind - probably why I burst into tears in the coffee shop wwith nerves when we were waiting to go in for it!

Purple been thinking of you now it's so close, how exciting!! My sister is due first week of April so it's getting close for her too now, really hope it doesn't come next week though as I'm on holiday! Looking forward to hearing your news!

For me, I'm now 25 weeks (baby is the size of a turnip according to my app) and I needed 4 wee's in the space of half an hour when going to bed last night!! Otherwise feeling okay. We're booked in for the growth scans so will get to see him again in a few weeks.

Sorry to all those I missed - need to catch up properly!

oliversmummy26 · 13/03/2017 12:08

Grain I did have chicken pox as a child, so probably immune, though I remember my ex MIL who is a MW getting herself in a tizz when I was 20 weeks with DS and saw my niece who got the pox a week or so after I'd seen her. She said that even if you've had them there's a chance you may not be immune and she wanted me to have a blood test. Was all fine though and I'm being much more laid back this time.

Also you probably are feeling movement. They're very tiny little flutters, like bubbles popping which does mean that they're very similar to wind. But if there's no "follow through" (sorry! Blush) I expect it probably is baby - enjoy them! Smile

Say and Lengend I'm having crazy, really vivid dreams too, sometimes they're just a bit bonkers but others I've woken up in the night with them as they're so scary. But I agree, it reassures me, as vivid dreams seem to be my first symptom. I started getting them this time even before BFP!

Say hopefully your scan will help make you feel more positive, it certainly helped me...

fuzzywuzzy · 13/03/2017 14:11

Hello all, I've not been checking in regularly on this thread, as been wanting pregnancy to just hurry up. I'm 29weeks and three days now and have been having mad Brixton hicks each time I walk. Baby is really low so I'm a bit worried about whether this is normal or something to worry about.

SPD has gotten worse and even with physio I'm in agony some days, was woken at ridiculous I clock today as I turned over in my sleep which casued shooting pain in my back and cramps like the worst period pains ever.

My other pregnancies were a doddle compared to this one!

I'm hoping and praying I get well into the thirty weeks plus category before baby arrives, I really feel she's going to come early!

Gingerbreadmam · 13/03/2017 15:13

Hey everyone, sorry havent posted in a while i've been steering clear of pregnancy related stuff as felt it was making me more anxious.

Anyway i just wanted to pop on and say thanks for all your support you got me this far and still sane!

sadly i went for my screening today 13+3 and discovered the heartbeat has stopped and baby had a severe brain defect that is looking like pataus. Fortunately, due to my history they have agreed to a d&c so just awaiting them calling with an appointment.

To any newbiews in early pregnancy, these ladies on here are amazing so stick around. To everyone else, enjoy the rest of your pregnancies. Wishing you the best of luck and once again thanks so much for everything Flowers

fuzzywuzzy · 13/03/2017 15:16

Take care of yourself Flowers

Gingerbreadmam · 13/03/2017 15:19

im good just a shock. had already hsd 3 scans this pregnancy, last one at 11+5 but i would rather it happen now than further down the line. I've had smm before too so i'm hoping it's a similar experience as it was very straight forward without pain or much bleeding. Fingers crosssed.

Thank you.

oliversmummy26 · 13/03/2017 15:20
