He's ADORABLE Bec 😍

INeedNewShoes · 09/04/2017 06:38

Ah Bec - he's fab Smile Congratulations!

Sorry you've been through the mill to get to this point. I hope he is settled in at home now with all his siblings!

SayItIsntSo1 · 09/04/2017 07:27

Congratulations Bec! Glad you're both home now.

Cookiemonster19 · 09/04/2017 13:13

Congratulations Bec! 🌺

AmyB1986 · 09/04/2017 15:14

Congrats @XxBecxX he's gorgeous!

12 weeks today, edging ever closer to the second tri. Can I start to believe I might actually get my baby at the end of this now? Have my dating scan on the 19th too. Symptoms have mainly gone apart from the occasional heave, nausea and on/off sore boobs. Used my Doppler again last night and baby was there straight the way along with odd blobbing sounds which I recognise as movements from using it with dd's so I know it's swimming around in there. Still can't quite believe I've got this far!

knorrig · 09/04/2017 16:09

Congrats Bec, he's beautiful...sorry you had such a tough time of it, glad he's now here and thriving!

Getting closer Amy...does feel so good when that time ticks away and you get to new milestones!

I'm starting to feel very achy, hoping it's not SPD so just taking it easy. My sis had her baby last night so waiting to be given the green light to visit, can't wait!

MoonlightMojitos · 09/04/2017 17:27

Hey ladies, haven't been on in ages but thought I'd have a quick catch up and massive congrats to you becs look at that gorgeous chubster! Well done, so glad all is well now xx

Hope everyone else is still doing well? I was finding it really hard to keep up with all the newbies (congrats to you all too!) And now there's just no way I could read through everything since I was last on!

littlepooch · 09/04/2017 20:08

Congratulations bec he's gorgeous. Wonderful news and well done on the birth!!! I totally agree - get all the sleep we can now before babies descend!

19+1 and I am feeling movement now which is helping my nerves. Though I am now starting to get anxious about the 20 week scan already and it's not for another week.

alb if you are reading, I saw your update on your other thread and I'm so glad everything is going well for one. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

INeedNewShoes · 09/04/2017 22:25

Moonlight - good to see you on the thread Smile How many weeks are you now?

I'm finding the thread impossible to keep up with properly now too so I'm just dipping in when I can and looking out for familiar names.

theAntsareMyFriends · 10/04/2017 09:49

bec not had time to post for a while but I've been logging on as often as possible to look for your update. What a gorgeous little man and a lovely name. He's a great weight and looks like a cuddle little bundle. Doesn't sound like the most straight forward start but glad he's doing well now and well done MrBec for getting through the first night with him and his 2hourly feeds. Hope your other kids are enjoying getting to know their baby brother.

alb if you are still checking this thread, I hope you and your little girl are doing well

amy glad the doppler is working for you. I found it so reassuring in the early days.

knorrig congratulations on becoming an auntie and hope your aches don't turn into SPD

pooch the early movements are so lovely and glad it is helping you feel positive

As for me. 37 weeks today. Feeling good and still at work. I was on my feet for an entire day yesterday and must have needed up walking miles so enjoying a bit more of a relaxed day sitting down at my desk. I have a small bump so think that makes it easier for me to keep going as apart from feeling a bit tired I feel quite normal. If it wasn't for 2 little feet pummelling my bladder I would almost forget I was PG.

Alb1 · 10/04/2017 11:09

Congratulations bec he's beautiful Smile

We're doing well, she's a week old today! Having normal premature baby problems but nothing major which is great Smile

MoonlightMojitos · 10/04/2017 12:55

Hi newshoes! I'm 32+5 now! It's flying by, these last few months have just gone! I had a panic last weekend when one of the girls in my due dates who is due 2 days before me had her baby! Surprise appearance 8 weeks early so I got in a flap and now the hospital bag is almost ready to go just in case! Feeling lots of movement too so feeling positive now and just can't wait to get down this home straight!

Howre you doing? Must be very close for you now! Hope you and baby have been doing well?

grainmum · 10/04/2017 13:13

Really encouraging to hear all the positive stories from those in the third trimester.

Struggling a bit here psychologically, tend to have a good day or two then it's back to doom and gloom again. Being closely monitored and scans seem ok so far but no convincing consistent movements, occasional feeling that is probably movement but I daren't believe it (18 weeks). Ongoing intermittent leaking fluid that I don't have a good "story" for any more. I've come to the realisation that it's going to be like this until I deliver - scans every couple of weeks and lots of questions without answers. Oh for a crystal ball! If it's going to go badly I wish it would happen now rather than be any more drawn out. Anyway, trying as much as I can to choose hope, but not doing very well at distracting myself from pregnancy worries!

Mummy93 · 10/04/2017 15:13

Hi mum's.....

I had a early miscarriage on 9th March. Well on Monday last week I found out I was pregnant again. So guessing I'm around 4 weeks pregnant.
Just wondering what other people's stories are, as I'm so petrified of loosing this one again. I feel more confident this time as o have tons of symptoms now that I didn't have before. I have 2 children already and never experienced this many symptoms this early on, from bloating, backache, headaches, extremely sore boobs, peeing all the time and this morn I woke up to leaking boobs! Is this all normal this early? Again sound amateurish but I didn't experience any of this till at least 10 weeks plus with my other two.
Also I haven't been to the gp yet as wanna give it a while incase I loose this one again. But do they do any other checks because of what happened last time? Or keep closer eye on you?
And will they still calculate my dates based on when I started bleeding with miscarriage?

Any advice would be great thanks
Someone recommend me to this thread. Hope its ok

TheLegendOfBeans · 10/04/2017 21:13

Evening Mummy

Just a quickie:

peeing all the time and this morn I woke up to leaking boobs

I had a weird boob leak on what i now calculate as 3w. No joke. I even posted about it on MN.

Secondly; I've had one MC. When I called my mat unit to enquire when they had me in for my booking appt and the 12w scan I also took a moment to explain what happened to me last time (nasty mmc at nearly 11w) and next thing I knew they'd booked me in for a reassurance scan at 9w.

So maybe try that?

Also you are in good company here. This lit were great when I was losing my marbles last week just before my 12w scan (which was fine) xx

INeedNewShoes · 10/04/2017 22:18

Moonlight - I'm pleased to hear all is well Smile

I'm 35+4. Baby is breech so looks like we're heading for a CS. I'm seeing my consultant on Thursday.

I'm finishing work this week and it feels as though the timing is about right. I'm hoping baby stays put for at least ten more days as I still have lots of baby preparations to sort and I quite fancy some time to put my feet up too! Smile

I've got my hospital bag probably 80% sorted; just a few bits and bobs to add.

INeedNewShoes · 10/04/2017 22:18

Alb - I'm so pleased baby is doing well Smile

INeedNewShoes · 10/04/2017 22:21

Ants - I have a foot digging into my bladder quite often too! Does that mean your baby is breach too?

When are you finishing work?

Mummy93 · 11/04/2017 08:25

Well I plan to see my gp next week when my partner can come with me, so going to tell them I'm worried about it all and see what they say. Altho my docs tend to not be very helpful. The epu I went to weren't very sympathetic either when I lost the last baby I know it's their jobs to not show emotion but I was just told to go home my results of hg were too low so I'm most likely miscarrying test in a week and if says negative then I know what's happened if says positive then give us a call. No sorry to hear that or feel better soon or anything was a horrible experience.

theAntsareMyFriends · 11/04/2017 09:33

hi ineed. My baby is head down but is doubled in half so his feet are down by my right hip rather than up. His weird position is why I had to have an extra growth scan as the bump wasn't growing and the midwife couldn't work out where the baby was. I think wherever they are lying they find a way to kick the most sensitive part of you!

Do you have the date for your CS booked or do they still wait until labour starts even if you have a breach baby?

Enjoy your last week of work and the start of your maternity leave. I'm working right up until I give birth but I've got lots of leave so I'm really only working 2-4 days a week for the next 3 weeks.

SayItIsntSo1 · 11/04/2017 16:46

Grain I could write your post all over again today. Some days I am ok, the last two I have felt quite down and in need of more reassurance. Even after hearing the HB last week and being on cloud 9, today I could cry as I have my consultant appointment tomorrow and no faith the good news from last week will happen again. It is a truely horrible feeling, I wouldn't wish this anxiety on anyone. I am hoping once I can feel movements that will help. When do you have your next check up?

Mummy, I'm sorry you had a horrible experience last time. I found all the staff very supportive when I had my MC but it's such a lonely time, I hope you don't have to go through it again and this time can be a more positive experience.

TheLegendOfBeans · 11/04/2017 21:51

Say I've nothing useful to add but big unmumsnetty hugs to you from this corner xx

grainmum · 11/04/2017 23:15

Hugs say. I hope it's a useful and reassuring appointment tomorrow. Come on babies, let your mummies know you're OK! but we might just find something else to worry about

Next appointment next weds for me.

keeponrunning85 · 12/04/2017 09:52

Morning ladies. May I tentatively join?

I was on this thread back in November under a different name but sadly had a third miscarriage. It is good to see so many names from then in the final stretch and having had babies!

I've just been for a first reassurance scan. Measuring around 6 weeks with a heartbeat. Last time I had a scan with a heartbeat at 6 weeks and then it had stopped by 8 weeks so I'm not feeling particularly reassured to be honest. Also, I'm worried that it was measuring behind what it should be but the nurse wasn't concerned about this.

Anyway, hoping for a sticky one and 4th time lucky.

SayItIsntSo1 · 12/04/2017 10:18

Thanks Legend and Grain. The Dr was good, extra scans booked for 18 and 24 weeks and then recommended 30 and 36 wk scans dependent on how I feel once babies movements can be felt. She also suggested I may want to consider induction if I go over my date as a way of managing any anxiety then. Quite supportive really and I got to hear baby's heartbeat again so he's doing ok in there.

Hi keep, you're in a good place here although I'm sure you know that if you've been on the thread before. I really hope this one works out for you. Do you have any more scans planned befor your 12wk one?
