Wow Bec that's so soon!!! I'm not ready Shock

theotherendofthesockportal · 15/03/2017 17:44

Thank you for the welcome. I feel like I am going to be with good company. I'm going to the doctors tomorrow to let them know I'm pregnant and also to follow up a complaint I made to them about how I was treated during my last pregnancy.

Seeing the birth announcements on here is giving me great hope for my pregnancy.

XxBecxX · 15/03/2017 18:23

I've been here since 4wks too sock and I don't know how I would have managed at times.

Sock do I remember you from the TTC thread? Hello! I never forget a funny username.

theotherendofthesockportal · 15/03/2017 20:10

@TheLegendOfBeans I am sorry but I have a memory like a sieve! So unfortunately I don't remember you. But we can be friends here and get each other through this Smile

fuzzywuzzy · 15/03/2017 20:17

Awww purple congratulation on the. ORgh of your baby boy. Have you got name sorted?

To whoever asked, the heartbeat thing didn't work for me mine sounds like a train but it's a girl according to my twenty week scan. It's a fun old wives tale tho.

XxBecxX · 16/03/2017 03:18

My boy sounds like a train lol

I couldn't hear the difference but when I was having a girl the HB was 170 whereas my boys were 140-150, so definitely followed that trend.

SayItIsntSo1 · 16/03/2017 07:06

Scan day today. Not a great nights sleep Sad and stomach is in knots.

Good luck Legend with yours.

TheLegendOfBeans · 16/03/2017 07:48

Thanks Say

Pooping it.

GingerHanna · 16/03/2017 08:05

Best wishes to those with scans today. Fingers crossed for you.

I have just come out of the doctors. Everything good and carry on as normal. Referal to gynie done for prenatal tests. No family history which is good. Got a recommendation for a midwife also so happy that is sorted! They're next to the hospital so work closely with them which is comforting, but not an actual hospital practice which is good as I want a home birth if possible.

Only five weeks though so getting a touch ahead of myself. Didn't stip me looking at baby clothes last night!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 16/03/2017 09:08

Good luck with your scans legend and say.
Glad you had a positive Dr apt hanna.

Hope everyone else is having good days.

I had very sexy dreams last night and woke up wanting OH, he's still too nervous to DTD though and I'm not sure if I should cos of thd prolapse so feeling somewhag frustrated this morning!
Ahwell, day off work without DD so going to do some sewing Grin

SayItIsntSo1 · 16/03/2017 10:50

All looked good today! One healthy, wriggly baby in there! 12+3 as hoped and due 25th September Grin!!!

Same sonography as picked up my MMC so I had a small freak out as we went in, but she was lovely about it and I managed to hoik my big girl pants up and let her do the scan. She showed us the hands, feet, brain, everything! Incredible experience and so different from last time. DH and I both had a cry.

I don't think my anxiety will go but I feel like we've got past a huge milestone today.

SayItIsntSo1 · 16/03/2017 10:50

Got everything crossed for you Legend.

GingerHanna · 16/03/2017 10:58

Fantastic news Say. So happy for you.

I have an appointment with the gynie now for my intake and first scan. Will only be 6+5 but apparently they like to do the first scan between 6-8 weeks so will just go along with it. They will talk me through all the testing options there also.

Weird that it's so early, and therefore so soon. But will be good I guess.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 16/03/2017 12:03

Excellent news say !

TheLegendOfBeans · 16/03/2017 12:09

Scan all good, hb detected, baby wriggly measuring 8+5.

Thank Jesus for that.

SayItIsntSo1 · 16/03/2017 12:22

Fantastic news Legend! I hope the scan has reassured you and not long now (although it may feel an eternity) until your 12 week scan.

Really pleased for you.

INeedNewShoes · 16/03/2017 12:40

Great news Say and Legend Smile Really pleased for you both. I hope you can relax a little now.

I've just had my 32-week appointment. All is well with baby, but I've been diagnosed with PGP which isn't surprising but I was daftly hoping that the worsening pain wasn't PGP and that it might magically go away. Silly me!

Based on the train/galloping theory, how you carry your bump, and the heart-rate theories everything is pointing to my baby being a boy! Smile

Next appointment is at 36 weeks to see if baby has turned (still resolutely breech) and make plan for either induction or cs based on that.

Hazandduck · 16/03/2017 12:45

Hello, tentatively joining and stupidly scared that by posting here I will jinx myself but here goes.
Am currently trying so hard to not be anxious and panic over every twinge or grope my boobs too much. Had two MCs last year, first one in July, no period, then got pregnant straightaway and miscarried in October.
Finally felt ready to try again in February thinking it'll take a couple of goes, because surely we can't get lucky third time, but sure enough my period was a week late and I put off testing until last night. Will be 6 weeks Saturday according to last period. Ugh I just wish I could fast forward time and know if it will be ok. Am having tests for thyroid issues at the moment due to an ultrasound on my neck showing the gland is uneven. If it is my thyroid I'll go under specialist care or something for this pregnancy.
We have said we won't tell a soul this time, I am just looking for some virtual hand holding as I am bricking it!
Hope everyone here has happy healthy pregnancies xx

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 16/03/2017 13:04

That's great legend, hooray!

Is there anything they can do for you re the PGP Ineed? Also are you doing all the positioning I hear is supposed to help baby turn?

Congrats on your BFP duck and sorry for your losses. Welcome, everyone is pretty good for virtual hand holding here Smile, the early weeks are tough!

INeedNewShoes · 16/03/2017 13:17

ImGonna - the consultant suggested I buy a support belt so I'm looking at reviews now to see what the best option is but otherwise her advice was to stop work(!) and sleep with a pillow between my knees and make sure my legs are kept parallel as much as possible.

I've been doing various exercises to encourage the baby to turn but his head seems to be firmly stuck to my ribs! The main position recommended by the Spinning Babies website says that you ought to have someone there in case you need help getting up (as it involves kneeling on a bed/sofa and then putting hands on the floor). I'm single so don't have a partner to assist with these things but I've got a friend coming over tonight and I might ask him to make sure I don't face-plant while I try it!

theotherendofthesockportal · 16/03/2017 14:13

So so nervous, I just had a painful twinge in my lower tummy. Have been starving all day too!

Hazandduck · 16/03/2017 14:35

sock it is horrible but I read someone say somewhere "today you are pregnant" which I think is a really positive way to get through the days. How many weeks are you?
