I will start by saying I know I am extremely lucky be expecting a healthy (so far as can be told) baby and I wouldn't swap it for the world. That said - bloody hell. I'm 39 weeks today, I have an arse under my ribcage so I can't breathe, a head trying to drill out of my pelvis, shocking heartburn, and with a leg still in a boot from being broken there is no comfortable position in the world. I'm shattered and weepy and want this baby out now please! Anyone else?

Lottie that made me laugh so much!! Had to tell my dh lol...

I'm getting the pains but very intermittent. I've told myself in my head to countdown to elcs and not hope for earlier now. It's made me feel a bit better!

I'm looking forward to using all the baby stuff to be honest. Maybe the pram the most! Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/03/2017 15:13

Feet in bucket of ice cold water as so swollen

Bubs is kicking away happily

She has no intention of budging !!!

MrPoppersPenguins · 12/03/2017 16:21

That's a great picture you've made me imagine Lottie! Sounds very cute!
Got a bit excited with a few lower tummy pains this morning but appears it was trapped wind Blush

LozzaRoseMumOf3tobe · 13/03/2017 10:27

So re my GD, my baby is measuring big and has been over the 95th percentile since 28 weeks! It's also my trusts policy to induce with GD between 38-39 weeks yet they are letting me go over! Went to my midwife last week and she is disgusted as she couldn't get me a sooner appointment than 40+4 and she wanted to see if she could sweep me but I have nothing in my plan of care notes from the hosp so she's not allowed to do anything. Really getting frustrated! 39+2, aching like hell, GD, previous section, successful ECV but I just feel it's going to end up a section as this baby isn't budging willingly! 🙁

purpleviolet1 · 13/03/2017 11:03

Sounds like a breakdown somewhere Lozza, are you due to attend the diabetic clinic again? I am seeing them weekly. They do a scan to check the fluid levels, put me on the CTG for a bit and chat to the midwife and then I see the diabetic consultant and obstetrician. Sometimes they have the diabetic nurse as well. They are constantly assessing the situation. I'm not seeing the community midwife as the diabetics team have taken over all the care.

LottieL · 13/03/2017 11:25

Bless you Lozza, I'm not surprised you are feeling fed up!
I can't even think of anything to suggest to help. Might it be worth ringing the department that you see the consultants on direct? Or a specific diabetes team?
My dad always says the squeakiest wheel gets dealt with first, so maybe it's time to start making a bit of fuss?
Good luck m'dear!

purpleviolet1 · 13/03/2017 19:15

Lozza hope you managed to speak to someone about your care plan?

Lottie how are you?

Had my appt this afternoon. They picked up tightenings every 10 mins on the machine, I couldn't feel them though. Typically didn't have the pain I've been experiencing whilst there. They refused to do an examination as they said it might trigger things. If they get more regular then I need to let them know. Still very intermittent though so I'm not holding out hope!

Scan showed fluid level had dropped bit further, so if it drops even more by next Monday then they might bring c section forward (it's scheduled for that Friday so I doubt they will bother to be honest).

Oh and I've got a UTI but they've sent the sample away to see which antibiotics will work as I've had many multi resistant infections in the past.

37+3

Featherybum · 13/03/2017 23:04

39+4 here and so fed up today, everything hurts, bump is so heavy! So much pressure down below. I've had a few disrupted nights with bh and back ache but nothing regular. It's disappointing waking up in he morning having slept through and not gone into labour! Think I've lost the plug but it's not been bloody so prob means nothing, This is baby no3, previous ones were 40+5 and 40+2 so hoping it's soon. Sympathies to all those who are uncomfortable!

LottieL · 14/03/2017 10:11

Poor you Feather! Hoping it's soon for you!

Purple - it never rains but it pours, eh? I hope you get your results back soon so they can get you on antibiotics nice and quick, UTIs are a right bloody nightmare. Sorry to hear about the fluid levels also. I'm glad you are being closely monitored though, and that they are prepared to step in of they need to 🙂 That must be a relief!

Bad paid last night and overnight, tightenings and pressure, continued into this morning but again - not regular! Lost more plug too (how much of that stuff is there?!?) so I'm desperately hoping stuff is on the move!

purpleviolet1 · 14/03/2017 10:48

Oh Lottie hope it happens for you soon! Is it tmi if I ask what the plug is like? I think I've heard that it can regenerate...

I had cramps for about 3 hours last night but stopped nowAngry they were sore enough to keep me awake but I did manage to stay in bed for most of it.

LottieL · 14/03/2017 11:13

I'm used to describing this flipping plug in graphic detail, don't worry! My husband asks for all the gore. Well, it's like globs of stringy snot when you wipe, basically 🤢. The first lot was streaked with brown blood for me, but I know some people have red blood with theirs. I've had little bits on and off since I lost the majority of it last week, but had a load more this morning.

purpleviolet1 · 14/03/2017 20:19

I'm on countdown to induction. 4 more days. Roll on Sunday. I was really sick yesterday and had cramps all day and night, but again they've gone come morning. Going to have a stroll along the prom later, and have a reflexology session booked in. Come on baby. Get out!

LottieL · 16/03/2017 06:17

Well, my waters broke at 4:30am. Contractions are coming and going. Exciting (and very scary!) 40 + 6!
