I will start by saying I know I am extremely lucky be expecting a healthy (so far as can be told) baby and I wouldn't swap it for the world. That said - bloody hell. I'm 39 weeks today, I have an arse under my ribcage so I can't breathe, a head trying to drill out of my pelvis, shocking heartburn, and with a leg still in a boot from being broken there is no comfortable position in the world. I'm shattered and weepy and want this baby out now please! Anyone else?

I just want to cry. 39 weeks today. There's not even any reason to be upset because it's not my due date but I've so completely had enough. And I never had this with DD and DS - they were pretty easy pregnancies. This one is just awful but I don't want to be so negative about it.

Good luck today Lottie

All the best Lozza!! No advice I'm afraid...

Lottie, nice to hear from you. We tried the breastfeeding , we even managed to latch on ( there was no tongue tie as expected) but my nipple was wrecked from previous attempts. I also felt engorged with blocked ducts and it was so painful I was gritting my teeth. I tried solely bf (putting him on for 30 mins at a time and topping up with expressed ) for a day and night and he just wouldn't get satisfied, it was far too exhausting for me to keep putting him on and keep up with the expressing and the lack of sleep in those 24 hours was extremely hard. After much despair, guilt, even tears I've decided to go back to combination feeding. I'm expressing every few hours and topping up with formula. Feeling much happier now ! Glad he is still getting a little bit of breast milk, figured this is better than nothing. Hat off to those who breastfeed exclusively. Really tough.

Good luck Lozza. No tips I'm afraid as I never got past 2cm. Either way looks like baby today for you! Fingers crossed you get your vbac though.

redcrab sending sympathies, it's truly rubbish. Time is crawling. I went for my consultant appt yesterday where i was told I would get my section date. However apparently not, they will ring me two weeks before with a date and it's likely to be a few days later than I expected. I am irrationally annoyed about it - one of the few positives for me of having to have a section is that I would only go to 39 weeks, and they i would know the date so be able to plan my childcare. And at the moment any extra days being pregnant are not very welcome, my back and pelvis are really starting to give I know.

I know it's a small thing, and I understand why, and I won't even think of it once baby here safe but in my current frustrated, irritable, annoyed state it's bloody annoying. With my last pregnancy they booked my section date at my 16 wk appointment! So think my expectations have been a bit high....!

Good luck everyone!
I'm 2 days late today. Every tiny little pain I'm like "omg this is it!" But usually turns out i need the toilet or something.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2017 11:02

Congrats mrpoppers and Lottie. So can't R.E.M. If I said congrats to you. Baby brain 😂😂

39.1 and sooooooooo ready for bubs to come

Get induced soon and won't be soon enough for me

RedCrab · 24/03/2017 11:08

Oh knitting I totally get the irritation!! Don't they understand how you need the date just to look towards and have an end goal in sight??

I have just bought something that I need for the birth but that won't arrive for four days. So now I am hoping I won't go into labour yet. Good strategy!!

I've decided to insist on a CS in lieu of an induction if it comes to that. I am absolutely not going through that again.

Contractions have pretty much stopped ☹️ But still haven't been re assessed yet. Had to get my gown on for surgery but I haven't seen the doctor or anyone about that yet either, really hungry now too!

Happyiamnot · 24/03/2017 11:41

41 weeks today. Thoroughly fed up. Not even had a single twinge. Section booked for Tuesday, but I so wanted my vba2c.

Oh well, I'll just be glad when it's all over. No one should be this pregnant Sad

bangbangprettypretty · 24/03/2017 17:40

I have got a weird pain underneath my right hip - wondering if the baby is starting to descend.

My DH has an interview for a promotion on Tuesday so I'm hoping to hang on until then!

I went to the midwife today and mentioned I've had brown discharge, she said it could be nothing (am 38 weeks) and I might still go to term.

She did laugh at my stranded-woodlouse roll off the bed though Smile

LozzaRoseMumOf3tobe · 28/03/2017 13:14

Well I ended up having a section & my little boy Arthur was born 24/03/17 @ 13:27 weighing 10lb 1oz! Was discharged after 2 nights too!

LottieL · 28/03/2017 13:17

Well done abs big congratulations! Fabulous weight 🙂

purpleviolet1 · 28/03/2017 13:21

Congratulations Lozza!

Theknittinggorilla · 07/04/2017 07:22

How's everyone getting on? Any more babies?

After a slight panic yesterday when I got sent to hospital for an urgent presentation scan (and had about a couple of hours when I thought they were going to deliver me at 37+5) I'm still hanging in there for a section in 11 days....

So still tired, uncomfortable and hobbling round after a very talkative 4 year old and very tantrummy 2 year old.
