I will start by saying I know I am extremely lucky be expecting a healthy (so far as can be told) baby and I wouldn't swap it for the world. That said - bloody hell. I'm 39 weeks today, I have an arse under my ribcage so I can't breathe, a head trying to drill out of my pelvis, shocking heartburn, and with a leg still in a boot from being broken there is no comfortable position in the world. I'm shattered and weepy and want this baby out now please! Anyone else?

I'm 37+6 and I'm ready now! First day of maternity leave and I'm bored, can't sleep and too uncomfortable!

drinkyourmilk · 04/03/2017 05:58

My OH has been snoring All. Fucking. Night.
I'm ready to kill him. I've had very little sleep, and I've found when I've had a bad night my blood sugar reading is high first thing which impacts that nights insulin dose. I'm extremely irritated and considering waking him.

purpleviolet1 · 04/03/2017 09:40

Can I join at 36 weeks or is that too early??

karmacoma1 · 04/03/2017 09:58

@drinkyourmilk the exact same thing happened to me the other night, my dh is like a dead fucking weight, can't shift him. Ended up storming downstairs to the sofa, because I honestly thought I could of smothered him.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2017 10:21

@milk. Ditto. We have the sleep app and shows that someone is snoring. I said it's df and he said it's me. Weird how when he gets up at 530am that the app doesn't record snoring .......

But as you know I work nights so can get back to sleep easily tho still annoying 😡😡😡

I am ready for bubs to arrive tho few weeks early and I will be induced as red flagged and high risk so won't allow me past 40w

But if my cankles went down and legs then would be ok. It's the walking moving stairs etc that make it a problem

Plus the sickness from Hg - sick again this morning - and heartburn etc

I want out :)

drinkyourmilk · 04/03/2017 10:34

I did wake him- we have a spare bed he can use. He is still in thee snoring, and I still haven't been able to get back to sleep. Blood sugars were awful this morning, and yet last night before bed they were great.
I'm going to have to think of new and inventive ways of punishing him AngryGrin.

Ditto with the vomiting this morning blondes. All fun and games.

purple come and take a seat. I'm 36 weeks too, quite frankly the babies are are fully cooked in a few days- so I consider 36 weeks late pregnancy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2017 10:44

Spare bed still has bubs stuff on it ....

And 😱😱😱 at dh asleep at 10.30+

Go and wake him !!!

Bloody sickness 😷😷😷😷

And yes from 37w onwards baby's aren't prem

We are almost at the finishing line 😇😇😇

purpleviolet1 · 04/03/2017 12:21

Pulling up a seat. 36+1 today. First baby. Also have GDM. Baby is breech so section at 39 weeks is likely. Last couple days been getting a lot of pelvic /hip pain Sad finished work yesterday and was hoping I would be able to give the house a good going over, clearing out etc. Expecting to move house in a few months time so thought it would be good idea to get it done before baby arrives. But at this rate I'm going to be too uncomfortable!

Cupcakemumma123 · 04/03/2017 12:40

Joining in Smile

39+3 today with dc2 and although I love pregnancy, I'm ready for it to be over now, I just want my baby in my arms!

Spend all my time searching ways to induce labour at home and reading threads about what people have tried and successes, but knowing that really, baby will probs just come when ready Hmm

Had a row with hubby last night because he would DTD! Angry told him to man up and act like a normal red blooded male! Blush

So soon but yet (potentially) so far Shock x

purpleviolet1 · 04/03/2017 13:01

Envying those of you further along...

karmacoma1 · 04/03/2017 13:10

Has anyone started getting annoying 'any sign of baby yet?' Texts?

Had one off my best friend today- I wouldn't mind but she went two weeks over with her dd, she should know how annoying it is!

Oh, and my mad mother rang me to give two dates she would 'rather I didn't give birth on - I'm working away that weekend' Hmm oh yes, I'll just gave a word with my unborn daughter now shall I, make sure she fits in her grand entrance to the world round your plans. Absolutely nuts.

MygirlKeith · 04/03/2017 13:17

35+6 now with ELCS booked for 39+1. I'm done now, 36 weeks is totally reasonable for a baby to come. I've got awful pelvic and hip pain plus the joys of drooling and insomnia at night as well as feeling like a beached whale when I try to turn over. And I miss wine. The other 2 were a week and 2 weeks late though so I have exactly no chance of this one coming at any time before my section date.

purpleviolet1 · 04/03/2017 13:46

Hi my girl! Omg drooling I thought that was just me!!! It's bloody gross but I've been so fed up during the night that I've not batted an eyelid lol

MygirlKeith · 04/03/2017 14:28

Hey purple! It is disgusting but I've been the same as you, so fed up I don't care!

LottieL · 05/03/2017 17:43

So I've just been to the hospital with what I thought was a leak of fluid, after a strong braxton hicks contraction. Turned out it wasn't fluid (discharge ugh) but when checked they said I was 2cm dilated which was good as this is my first baby, and performed a sweep to hopefully get things moving. Hoping this means things are going to happen! 39 + 2 today!

snowone · 05/03/2017 17:54

I'm so glad I read this thread ladies! Congratulations to you all on your imminent arrivals! I have been debating as to wether to TTC baby number 2 and you have all put me right off!! GrinWink GrinWink hope babies all arrive soon

purpleviolet1 · 05/03/2017 20:51

That sounds exciting Lottie!!!!

SussexTeacher · 05/03/2017 22:34

I'm so over being pregnant. 37+3 here. I'm limping. Feels like I've pulled something in my hip so can't even turn over. Reflux at night. I nearly pissed myself sneezing. Argh and I bet I'll go overdue as well!

NameChange30 · 06/03/2017 02:57

Hi all, just joining in to say AAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHH

I'm 41 weeks today, can't fucking sleep, and I AM SO FUCKING OVER BEING PREGNANT

Until recently I was doing pretty well at staying calm, patient and positive but it's all gone out of the fucking window.

I actually feel like I HATE THIS BABY and wish he would FUCK OFF (terrible though I know that is Blush)

I'm sick of listening to my hypnobirthing MP3s, I'm sick of doing perineal massage, I'm sick of eating fucking dates, and I am sick of not being able to do ANYTHING without being in pain (PGP).

The longer is goes on the more anxious I get about induction and other interventions. ELCS is beginning to look very tempting. But I don't think "I'm fucking sick of being pregnant and can't be arsed to even try a vaginal birth any more" is going to cut it as a reason...

Wheelerdeeler · 06/03/2017 03:28

I'm 32 + 5. Currently in hospital as have symptoms of pre eclampsia.

Got steroids injections today. Ouch bloody ouch.

I can't sleep.

I will be having section.

I want to be at home in my own bed.

I'm cranky as fook.

purpleviolet1 · 06/03/2017 08:32

Oh namechange, feel your pain, well done for only reaching that point at 41 weeks!!! Do they have a plan of action??

I'm 36+3 and I'm literally counting the days. Getting a lot of pelvic hip pain when I'm resting in bed but because I'm not sleeping properly I'm shattered with no energy so a bit of a vicious circle!

purpleviolet1 · 06/03/2017 08:33

Wheeler dealer hope the steroids go well and they can keep baby in for as long as possible?? When do they want to perform c section?

Letsgetreadytorumbleagain · 06/03/2017 10:09

41 weeks today and I'm seriously miserable Sad

Thought it was all happening yesterday - contractions for about 10 hours and by 6 o'clock yesterday morning they were about 4 minutes apart and lasting about a minute. Went to the hospital to get checked and it al stopped Angry

My cervix was too high and posterior to 'get to' so the stupid contractions were doing nothing anyway. I just want this baby out now!!!

NameChange30 · 06/03/2017 10:52

purple
Thank you... I'm seeing the midwife this afternoon and she said she'd offer a sweep so I'm going to try that. Apparently they're painful and have a low success rate (only 1/4 according to Google) but I'm so desperate I'll give it a go. I've also heard that acupuncture can help, and there isn't compelling evidence to back it up, but again I'm desperate so I'll try it. But even that it easier said than done because the acupuncturist I contacted hasn't replied to my email and isn't answering the phone Angry
I really want to avoid a medical induction if I can, hence trying the sweep and the acupuncture, but I also really want to give birth in the midwife-led unit, and I can only do that up to 41+6. From 42 weeks onwards I will have to be in the delivery unit. Of course I could be in there anyway if there are any risks or interventions. Oh joy.

Have you seen anyone about your PGP? I saw an osteopath which helped, is that something you would consider?

Wheeler
Best of luck with the injections.

Letsget
Sorry about your false alarm, but at least SOMETHING has happened! (Fuck all here.) Hopefully things will kick off again - for real this time - very soon.

alphabook · 06/03/2017 11:13

@NameChange30 A friend of mine recently had an ELCS because she was overdue and didn't want to be induced. They might be reluctant but its your body and if it's what you want you should ask for it.

I'm 40+5 and feeling a bit down today. I have tried EVERYTHING to get this baby out and nothing is working! If one more person says to me "the baby will come when he's ready" I'm going to slap someone!
