How tall are you and how tall was your baby?

Midwife said to me that 'a girl my size isn't going to make a 6 pounder'. For the record Im 5,9, size 10/12. Not the best thing to be told!

That was meant to say how heavy was your baby! I have no idea how you edit the title.

I'm 5ft, size 8 I was told "baby will only be tiny with a petite mum like you"

Lightest was 7.9 heaviest 8.9

She's probably right though, using a customised growth chart which takes into account your heught and weight I would imagine that for someone your height that 6lbs would probably be under the 10th centile

I'm 5"2 and petite mine were DD 6 lb, 5 oz and DS 7lb, 2oz.

I'm 5ft7 dh is 6ft3 and ds was 10lb and very long

I'm 5ft 6 and my son was 11lb 9oz. I was told I was having a 7lb baby.

I'm 5"8 and my husband is 6"4. We knew she wasn't going to be small but even we were surprised by a very long 10lb 10oz baby! She's still really tall but nothing wrong with a big, healthy baby. She wasn't really chunky, just long and solid!

I'm 5'1, my daughters were 5lb6, 7lb and 5lb13. All are very big for their ages, especially my eldest who at 7 is almost up to my chin x

We're both tallish and slimmish- I'm 5ft8, DH is 6ft and DS was 7lb5 so not massive. Don't panic!

5"2, size 8/10 and 9 lb 8! He did get a bit stuck though. And I looked like a moveable house from about 7 months.

I'm 5ft 3 and my babies were 11lbs, 9lbs, 9lbs 10 and 9lbs 2 so I would say in my case my height was irrelevant! DH is 6ft 2 and skinny.

DS 1 9lb 2oz 60 cm long
DS 2 7lb 6oz 50 cm long

Both term babies.

I'm 5ft 3 and a size 16, DD1 was 6lb4

It does seem that smaller women can go either way, whereas a tall woman will undoubtedly have a larger baby.

I'm 5'3 and weighed about 8 stone pre babies. I was 4 lbs 8 oz when I was born (full term).

I thought my babies would be tiny. DD1 was 8 lbs 7.5 oz and was 57cms long. DD2 was 4 ounces lighter and 3cms shorter.

5'3", DD was 6lb6oz

5 ft 1 size 8. Heaviest was 9lb, smallest 8.8lb. All where tall and in 0-3 from birth.
Oldest dc are towering over me now.

5ft tall, size 8-10. Youngest 3 were;
Boy 7lbs 7oz
Girl 6lbs 4oz
Boy 10lbs 2oz
I cant remember the others exact weight as I was 'out of it'. They felt like elephants though being over 10lbs each Dad is 6ft 5 inches.

I'm 5ft 2ins my biggest baby (boy) was 9lb 8oz and 65cm long, my smallest (girl) was 5lb 11oz and 47cm long, she was also my last baby.

I'm 5'6, ds1 born at 42 weeks was 6ib11 (3rd centile)
Ds2 born at 40 was9lb
ds3 born at 38 was 6lb 13
Ds4 born at 34 was 5lb 15
DD1 born at 31 was 3lb 14

Forgot to add I'm a dress size 6

I'm 5' 2"and I was a size 6 before pregnancy
Ds was 8 lb 6oz and is now a fully grown adult at 6' 2
Dd was slightly smaller at 7 lb 13oz but at 20 she is taller than me
I am the smallest in the family now :)

I'm 5ft 6.5, size 16 and DH is medium build and 6ft 2. Our DS was 10lb 5oz, 59cm long, head circumference 39cm. He was actually macrosomic.

I'm 5"2 DD1 was 6lb9 and DD2 8lb10 and straight into 0-3 months, she was long. They are now 18 & 19 5'3 and petite girls. Size 8. (They don't get the size 8 from me)

5'7" and DH is 6'0". I'm the smallest amongst my siblings and parents. Both DC were 1 week late and 7lbs 14oz and 7lbs 13oz. Both were 50cm. Rather average I think?

DC1 (9) is now shorter then average and very slim, DC2 (6) is right at the top of the height centiles and slim.
