Pregnancy after infertility or fertility treatment can be a scary place, from scanxiety to unexplained bleeding to other random symptoms.

We are a supportive group of women across all stages of pregnancy who are used to being on the wrong side of the odds and still can't believe it's really happening.

Need some advice - just passed lump of what looked like backed up crinone but I stopped taking it a month ago... Really worried could it be the mucous plug? Sorry if tmi but have no- one to ask.

Blueroses99 · 25/02/2017 23:56

Sara sorry that you're worrying, things can be backed up up there so it might be crinone. It's probably nothing to worry about but in my nervous state, I would call the hospital/midwives for advice for every little thing, better safe than sorry.

@lucie sorry sleeping is bad. I seem to sleep well on back tho always get told we shouldn't due to blood flow and placenta. But that's my comfy position

Try a few extra pillows

@sara always ring triage with any query and esp anyone in this group who if anything like me worries more then the average preg woman as taken so long to get preg

They will always prefer you to ring/go in then worry at home

Blueroses99 · 26/02/2017 09:05

Blondes hope you and bub are doing ok after your scare last week.

Hedgehog I want to go to the baby show, I love going along to things like that to browse but the logistics are proving tricky - it's on the wrong side of London for me and I haven't been further than 20 mins away since the stitch was put in, and DH thinks that an hour and a half travel each way on top of looking around (even though I'd be in a wheelchair as I can't be on my feet for long) will be too much for me. He's probably right.

Hello all! And huge congratulations to Wizzi and Grumpel. Such glorious news.

And I'll be joining you tomorrow! I'm all booked in for my planned C section at 38+3. Everything's been fine except for a bloody horrible head cold which I obviously can't medicate and which has messed up my sleeping for the last few nights. Going into the newborn phase already sleep deprived feels awfully like poor planning!

But I feel relaxed and happy and excited, and can't wait to meet this little person, see my husband being a wonderful father, and watch my daughter become a gorgeous big sister. So lucky and pleased to be here, and so hopeful that everything goes well.

Best of luck to all of you. I'm sure I'll be back to update, and will be cheering you all on.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2017 10:55

@blue - yes all fine thanks. Went back last night for 48hr after monitoring but bubs is moving well

@zenzie wow. Bet you can't wait Till baby in your arms tomorrow

Blueroses99 · 26/02/2017 10:57

Awww good luck tomorrow Zenzie xx

Blondes sorry to hear about your stressful time the other day! That must have been terrifying for you, but I'm so glad bubs is ok. Typical baby, moving as soon as you are unplugged! Did you get remonitored this weekend after? How did it go? As for sleeping on your back, I've read that you're not supposed to too, and I always fall asleep on my side but when I wake up, over 50% of the time I'm on my back! If I wake up still on my side, I wake up with horrendous leg cramp in whichever leg is closest to the bed. Fun times!

Hedgehog Ah, that makes sense about the move! You dont want a pile of extra things to have to drag along if you can help it. Isnt it funny how so many of us have been moving while pregnant!

Lucie The time has flown by! I swear, it seems like only a few weeks ago we were boarding the plane to Czech. I'm so grateful to you and the rest of the Reprofit ladies for all your help back then, because I am 100% sure we wouldnt be this far now without you all. I'm glad you found an aqua aerobics class after. Are you enjoying it?

Sara I am sorry you're having a worrying time this weekend. I cant advise I'm afraid, except to say I'd certainly speak to your midwife asap, if only to put your mind at rest. I hope you're ok.

Blueroses I think, personally, in your situation I'd be tempted to give the baby show a miss. It sounds like a really long day and the last thing you want is to wear yourself out. Its not really the same, but when I was about two months pregnant, DH and I went to the Star Trek convention in Birmingham and it was bloody hard work even at that stage, standing/looking around all day. Hope you're doing ok!

Zenzie Good luck tomorrow!! Fab news that you're feeling so relaxed! I'm sorry if I've missed something but is there a reason for the early section? Again, good luck!! Wont be long til you have your baby in your arms! :-)

MPP81 · 26/02/2017 11:11

Cross post Blondes! Gad everything was fine at your next monitoring session!

JustTrixie · 26/02/2017 11:15

Hi ladies, sorry I've fallen behind. Felt really rough coming off my steroids.

Had a quick read back but was just popping on as we had our private gender scan and a cervix scan this morning.

Turns out they were wrong at 12 weeks and we are having a girl! My cervix only measured 3.1cm though so I'm a bit concerned. The sonographer said it's fine but I had in my head it should be between 4-4.5 cm having googled last night. Going to call the midwife in the morning and see what she says. I still have a few cyclogest left so wondering if I should use those up. I was having dark discharge when on them though so a bit worried about irritating my cervix.

Congratulations Wizzi and Grumple!
Good luck tomorrow Zenzie!

Will hopefully do a proper catch up in the week. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2017 13:14

@trixie. Never know anyone tell sex at 12w

I love 💓💓💓 bubs is pink

And cervix is fine. They don't worry /stitch till 22mm so you are way over but have it checked each scan. Or they should offer 2w cervical checking. Mine did due to previous cone biopsy

@blue. A baby show sounds hell esp heavily preg /unable to walk fat

HopefulKate1980 · 26/02/2017 20:48

Good luck for tomorrow Zenzie!!

I am so sorry I haven't done a proper catch up yet. Had loads to deal with at home with my partner who I think I said, has had sepsis and still slowly recovering. On top of which we've had a house extension that I've had to finish off with him in hospital for two months.

ANYWAY, I just wanted to say congrats to the births this week and good luck for everyone with whatever the week ahead holds.

We are nearly 39 weeks and it is all getting very close. Any day now. Eek. Wish us luck!

xx

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 27/02/2017 03:22

Good luck Zenzie - can't wait to here about BabyZenzie's arrival.

Wonderful news about your anomaly scan Chocolate, and good luck with the gtt.

Congratulations on having a girl Trixie - lovely news!

Good luck Kate - it really is just around the corner. I hope your DH is recovering well, and fair play on the house extension - it makes my moving house pale in comparison :)

Sara, how did you get on?

Sorry to read about your pain while sleeping Lucie. I haven't heard of that belt but def. think you should try it/buy pillows - it really made a difference for me.

That sounded stressful Blondes so am really pleased to read that all was fine in the end.

Hedgehog good luck with your move as well! We went for the baby jogger city mini gt though I read that you actually can't jog with it (I won't pretend to be upset about that though!)

Great news that your levels are coming under control MPP.

Congratulations again Wizzi - I hope all is going well xx

Thanks for the sympathy for the morning sickness - typically after writing my moany post, the next day it was gone, and I've felt fine the last week :) If only it worked for other things!!

Waves to Custard, Friends and everyone else!

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 27/02/2017 03:23

wow, that was a mammoth post -sorry for taking up half the page! Also, Blue I'm impressed you're even considering the baby show!!

Zenzie · 27/02/2017 14:23

My goodness, I have a perfect baby boy. He's delightful. Feeding well, healthy and happy. I could not be happier. Utter joy.

I had a long and difficult labour with my first, resulting in emcs. We decided to go for a planned section this time after our doctor gave us a 20% chance of a successful vbac. So here I am! The difference between planned and emergency is stark!

Happy baby growing everyone! You'll be in this wonderful position very soon. x

Blueroses99 · 27/02/2017 16:33

Congratulations Zenzie, enjoy the fabulous baby cuddles Flowers

Yeah! Wonderful news! Congrats Zenzie. So sweet. Enjoy xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/02/2017 20:25

So glad all going well @Zensie with sleep feeding etc and yes I've heard planned and emergency cs are very diff

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 27/02/2017 22:17

Congratulations Zenzie, I'm glad all went well - enjoy xx

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 28/02/2017 08:28

Hurrah! Congratulations Zenzie and MrZenzie, that's lovely news! And chance of gorgeous squidgy newborn pics?

Kate - blimey, could be any second! Hope you're all packed/prepared. Plan something lovely for your due date - either you get a lovely experience, or you'll go into labour due to sod's law. Win-win.

Thanks for all the good wishes re the move - we've still not found somewhere to rent or buy (feel like we've looked at every sodding house in Derbyshire!) but we've sold our London flat so we've got to go! I'm sure we'll find something though, we're going up again in April to view some rental places.

Sara237 · 28/02/2017 15:30

zenzie huge congratulations to you all wonderful news and a really sweet, uplifting post thanks for sharing x

Custardandcream · 28/02/2017 18:57

Apologies in advance for the length of this post, I went away for the weekend and have fallen behind!

MPP thanks for the info about delivery times for travel systems, will probably look into ordering after 24 weeks to be on the safe side

Wizzi that sounds scary, glad your both ok

Blondes sorry to hear about your scare glad bubs is ok

Lucie I second the idea of a pillow especially for achy legs, I'm only 17 weeks but a lovely friend bought me a full body pillow a couple of weeks ago and it's amazing

Sara hope you're ok

Blueroses the baby show sounds like fun but your DH is probably right

Trixie congratulations on your girl!

Kate good luck, hope your DH is better

Genghis hope you're still feeling ok!

Zenzie congratulations! Lovely to hear about the light at the end of the tunnel

Hedgehog good luck with the house hunt

AFM I'm going for a second private cervical length scan tomorrow when I'll be 18 weeks, at the scan I had 2 weeks ago it was 36.9mm, from what I understand it will have shortened in that time. Is that correct and does anyone know by how much so I don't freak myself out? I'm a bit nervous anyway as I've not felt any movement yet, realistically I know it's still early but it's hard to be rational ATM!

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/02/2017 20:26

Anything over 22m is fine

I would check my notes but in car and cba to waddle - sorry - will look tomorrow for you

I'm 36w thur and ready to pop. Bubs has taken up all space in tummy. I waddle. Have cankles. Can't climb Stairs easily and can't put on socks. Well hasn't managed that for weeks 😂

Custardandcream · 28/02/2017 21:20

Oh Blondes that doesn't sound much fun definitely stay where you are! I'm dreading finding stairs hard work mine are really steep and the only loo is upstairs and I'm already peeing every other hour it feels like 😂 thanks for checking your notes tomorrow

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/02/2017 21:29
