Blueroses99 · 10/02/2017 06:40

Pregnancy after infertility or fertility treatment can be a scary place, from scanxiety to unexplained bleeding to other random symptoms.

We are a supportive group of women across all stages of pregnancy who are used to being on the wrong side of the odds and still can't believe it's really happening.

Thank goodness it was only thrush Blue!

Congratulations Kate, that's wonderful news! It makes me a bit teary every time someone on here has their baby Smile Flowers

sara hurrah for your wee boy! Your colleague sounds like a grade-A fuckwitt, nobody could blame you if you accidentally tipped a drink all over her. Pregnancy related clumsiness, oops!

AFM, the only thing getting me through year end fuckwittery is fantasising about patioing a couple of my directors - my line manager has assured me that he wouldn't blame me in the slightest and I'd probably get away with it due to pregnancy-related rage!

I hope everyone's being very spoilt and pampered today - happy Mother's Day one and all! Cake

THirdEeye · 26/03/2017 11:40

hedge congratulations on the birth of your son!

My scan went well. It was the correct size, the yolk sac was not too big and we saw the heart beating 💗. We've booked another scan in a few weeks and I'm about to contact the midwives.

I'm a little nervous of being over excited, seem a little detached but could be that I'm trying to remain as calm as poss.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2017 15:22

Bubs Is starting the eviction process :)

24hr pessery and now play the waiting game

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 26/03/2017 15:49

Wow Blondes how exciting!! My sister says to tell you that if you end up having a syntocinon drop make sure you ask for an epidural at the same time...

Third he's not born yet! We just found out the sex at the 20 week scan!

Blueroses99 · 26/03/2017 19:09

Wooo! Good luck Blondes, wishing you a swift and pain-free delivery. Look forward to hearing about bubs once she arrives xx

Hedgehog congratulations on your boy!

Trixie I'm the same with nightmares & feel on edge the whole day after one

Sara what an insensitive woman! All the books I've been reading say it's totally normal to be anxious before the 20 week scan so she's talking rubbish anyway.

Friends glad you ate the cheesecake it did look yummy!

Blureroses glad it was nothing serious and your mother in law sounds lovely

Kate congratulations! Hope you and DH are doing well now

Thirdeye glad your scan went ok, I think it's normal to feel a bit detached it's hard to believe it's actually real!

Good luck Blondes

AFM I had my scan a few days ago & bubs was fine & I'm starting to feel definite movements now rather than fluttering.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 26/03/2017 22:55

Hi everyone, sorry I disappeared but I couldn't remember my MN password for using it on my mobile. Anyway, our baby boy was born on Tuesday night. He's absolutely wonderful - I'm so in love. I can't stop staring at him, and want to hold him constantly. He's just perfect. Thank you all for your support over the last nine months, and wishing you all the best of luck in your journeys - I'll be keeping an eye on this thread and cheering you all on xx

Blueroses99 · 27/03/2017 00:28

Congratulations Genghis, wonderful news xx

Oh wow! Lots going on at the mo!

Huge congratulations Kate and Genghis!!!! Absolutely fantastic news that your babies are now safely in your arms.

And the best of luck to you Blondes- I'm sure it won't be long at all until you get to meet your little one as well!

Thanks for all of the strep B info- it's definitely something I'm going to discuss with the midwife at my 28 week appointment next week. I'm sure she'll try and palm me off like she did about cervical length, but that won't deter me.

Blueroses I am so sorry for all you are going through. Thank god that you pushed for that stitch and that you are now on full bed rest. I hope you are being well looked after. And now thrush....... I really hope that clears up quickly. You really do deserve a break! BrewCakeFlowers

So glad to hear that your scans went well Custard and Third Fab news!

AFM- 26+3 and feeling very well. Had such a lovely weekend (after an awful one this time last year) It's incredible how much can change in a year, and how fast the time seems to go.

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 27/03/2017 08:18

Any news Blondes? Thinking of you, hope you get to meet your wee one soon.

Squeeee, Genghis!! Congratulations, hurrah! Flowers Grin How was the birth?

Aw custard, those flutters are wonderful aren't they? Although we'll probably get a bit sick of it in the later months when we're being poked in the bladder constantly!

RoseBud if you want the Strep B test you'll need to pay for it privately, it's not offered as routine on the NHS. It's only c.£30 though. If you show a positive result to your docs/midwives they'll give you antibiotics during delivery. You will need to go into hospital a bit earlier than generally advised though, as the antibiotics need to be started quite early.

Sara237 · 27/03/2017 08:52

I have a couple of days off and everyone gives birth! Amazing three beautiful new babies! Huge congrats Kate, hedgehog and Genghis. What lovely news and so happy you're all mums now after this seemingly endless journey. Very inspiring.
Blueroses- how are you doing? Thrush? Fff! Roll on summer and getting to the end and new start of this ...
Rosebud - glad you're feeling vibrant and feel time's speeding by. Yes the diff a year makes!
Thirdeye- glad scan was all super - we found it kind of surreal! Isn't it amazing seeing heart beat?!
Custard- how many weeks are you now? Must be great feeling movements and to think of baby shimmying and shaking bless!
Blondes- thinking of you hope things are developing well. His exciting baby no 4 is imminent!
AFM - feeling great actually. Only niggle is 20 wks now and not aware of any movement yet. Anomaly scan on Fri. Might ask midwives to listen to hbeat later today they're only round the corner from me.
Waves to all x

RoseBud2016 · 27/03/2017 12:48

Thanks Hedgehog I'll get it booked in after I've spoken to her. Do you plan to get it done do you think?

Sara I didn't start feeling movement until 21+6. I was starting to get quite anxious about it, esp when the sonographer seemed so surprised at my 20 week scan. But it was fine and I'm constantly being kicked in the bladder now so I'm sure it won't be long for you x

Blueroses99 · 28/03/2017 19:34

It's not looking good for me ladies Sad The stitch is failing and there's a huge risk of the membrane poking through the stitch and bursting. They are considering a few options like re-stitching but apparently anything they try is uncertain because there are no guidelines for this scenario. I've been admitted to the hospital for bedrest but I'm not feeling optimistic given I've basically been horizontal for the last week and it doesn't seem to have helped. Restitching risks bursting the membrane too so isn't the safest option but might be the least worst scenario. Can't believe this is happening...

Haven't been on for ages so need to catch up properly but bloody hell blueroses - sounds really scary. I know nothing about stitches failing - what have the doctors said? Really hope the bedrest is enough. You poor thing xxx
