I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk

If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is
brilliant:
024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy#!scenario

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Fluteytootey This sounds wonderful - talk about synchronicity, what with what MardyBum said below about her midwife offering to top her up on fluids, and me wondering why that service wasn't offered. It's great abut the Acupuncture, too; that really helped me, but I was very lucky that it worked so well. That sounds an unusual surgery. Glad you are feeling better overall.

Hello everyone! I'm not sure if there's anyone that remembers me, apart from Lucinda and SeaEagle

I wanted to pop on and say hi- I found out I was pregnant on the 15th of March last year, and had horrendous HG from 5 weeks pregnant until I had my son on the 5th of November.

I know it seems like there's no light at the end of the tunnel. All I can say is that DS is now 20 weeks old, and the time has sped by in comparison to my pregnancy. He's the light of my life. And I'm certain that a bad pregnancy made caring for a newborn seem more manageable than it would have otherwise (this is the only bonus to HG that I can think of).

I do think of all those suffering often, and will try to pop on here regularly now that we're into a vague routine with DS.

Lots of Unmumsnetty hugs to you all Flowers

MotherofPearl · 28/03/2017 23:09

I remember you Rae, of course! So nice to hear all well with you and your DS. I mostly lurk in the background here now sadly, as feeling the time pressures of full time work and 3DC, but I like to look in when I can.
Hope Blondes is OK; looking forward to hearing her news.
Waves back to lovely Lucinda.

amysmummy12345 · 28/03/2017 23:12

I remember you Rae!! Waves to MoP! My dd2 is 10 months old next week 😖 where is the time going?! Hope mother hen is keeping everyone comforted on this side of the pink castle drawbridge 😊

SleepymrsE · 29/03/2017 07:02

Popping in to see if there was any news from blondes and find some lovely fellow graduates from this thread. Waves to mop, rae and amysmummy. This time last year we were all in the depths of HG misery. Rae you are totally right that time flies by once baby has arrived. DD is 24 weeks now, rolling around and nearly ready to be weaned!

Wishing all those suffering HG hell a non vomity day.

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 29/03/2017 08:45

Hi Rae,

I remember you too, you were really kind to me on here in my early weeks. Good to hear from you.

I'm slowly creeping toward that castle. My cardiology team saw me yesterday and say I'm still likely to be induced early. So we will see, very bored of being pregnant now! X

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/03/2017 12:24

Runs over drawbridge

Got induced early sun am. 24hr pessery. Then 2 6hr ones / then waters broken and BB arrived via gas and air at 6.23pm yesterday / weighing 7lbs 3ozs

RaeSkywalker · 29/03/2017 14:45

Congratulations Blondes enjoy your newborn cuddles!

Mother! amys! Sleepy! so glad that you're all doing well with your babies. DS is an utter delight, but ironically has quite nasty reflux, so I'm still dealing with a lot of sick here!

Iam you can't have long to go now can you? I know what it's like to be heartily fed up of pregnancy. You're doing so well though.

LightTripper · 29/03/2017 15:53

Yaaaayyyy Blondes!! Welcome to Pink Castle and welcome to the world little one!!

Waves to Mop, Rae, Amy's and Sleepy (and Lucia of course!!)

SleepymrsE · 29/03/2017 15:53

Huge huge congratulations blondes, wonderful news. You deserve this so much and I'm so pleased you no longer feel sick. You were such a hero trying to carry on with life despite being sick at pretty much every occassion. Enjoy all the newborn snuggles.

amysmummy12345 · 29/03/2017 16:29

Congrats blondes !! That non sick feeling is great isn't it?! My DD has reflux (silent) too, probably rubbed off on her as she heard me being sick that often 😂

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 29/03/2017 17:19

Yaaay Blondes! I have been thinking about you lots. Congratulations!
Also very happy to hear you are no longer feeling sick. Now go and eat ALL the food!

Rae still somewhere between 4-6 weeks to go which feels like forever... xx

littlepooch · 29/03/2017 17:23

Congratulations blonde!! And you don't feel sick? Yay!!

Sneezypeasy · 29/03/2017 17:37

Congratulations Blondes! Hurray for not feeling sick!

And belated congratulations to Light too!

Melleebacca · 29/03/2017 17:50

Blondes - well done and congratulations on Baby Blondes. Enjoy all the food, and I hope the swelling is all gone too.

Lovely to hear the positive reinforcement from the past sufferers. I hope the babies with reflux aren't suffering as much as we did.

Still no actual vomity days here, but I'm getting a bit of vomit in my mouth in the evenings and fighting to keep it down.

HaichM · 29/03/2017 17:50

Woo Blondes!!

LucindaE · 29/03/2017 18:01

Blondes What happy news! Congratulations. StarFlowersGrinCake
[cuppa]. You have been very brave and amusing encouraged everyone. I am so glad you have recovered at once, and now the happy times begin. I hope the Pink Castle drawbridge is suitably decorated, with all those balloons and tinsel.

RaySkywalker Lovely to hear from you, and that will be very helpful.
MotherofPearl It is always lovely to here from you.
Waves to amysmummy.

Congratulations Blondes!
It must be such a lovely feeling to not feel sick!

MotherofPearl · 29/03/2017 19:56

Marvellous news Blondes, I'm just delighted to hear you're feeling better already! Many congratulations! You have really been amazing the way you powered through the awful sickness. Enjoy every delicious moment with your newborn.
Big cheery waves to all the old gang, Amys, Sleepy, Light, Rae and of course Lucinda! My DD2 is another one with reflux. Even at nearly 11 mo she's still suffering and takes omeprazole.
Shirley, you must be due very close to my DD2's birthday, 4 May? You're nearly there, although I know the final weeks of waiting feel like eternity. Who is top of the due dates list now, I wonder?

CastleFeck · 29/03/2017 22:30

Blondes fantastic news, huge congratulations to you. You've been an inspiration on this thread. I'm so pleased BB has arrived safely and HG is over for you.
