Thanks I'm, lovely to hear positive stories and might give iron a go. Or get eating my spinach!

XxBecxX · 27/01/2017 05:32

Netflix is really good ginge, plus 4od, search for 'catastrophe' there's at least 2 seasons and it's hilarious, me and my hubby laff as it's very us lol plus new season is coming soon.
Also 'No offence' season 1 is in there, written by the same people who wrote shameless, it's a good watch, season 2 has just started on sky so you can still catch up

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 07:32

Thanks bec netflix all signed up. I did try no offence and couldnt get into it but might av another try. Is will mellor still in it?

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 27/01/2017 09:43

Arghh, day off work, dropped DD at nursery, and went to do some bits round town, OH goes off in car to gym and I've just got home and reaslised I don't have a key so I'm locked out in the freezing cold waah. 20mins til he gets home. Booo.

There are so many excellent shows on Netflix, their original programming is really good. All the marvel universe shows, breaking bad, dirk gently, the get down.

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 10:14

Probably a funny choice but im watching what to expect when you're expecting haha easy watching.

I watched a diy sos big build before and was in floods of tears always gets me that one!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 27/01/2017 11:42

That's the film right?
Love a good cheesy chick flick on occassion. Do not watch PS I Love You unless you want to sob like a baby for 90mins.

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 12:55

Yes film. Ive now watched a few eps of fresh prince and going to have a look at another film.

Oh i will steer very clear of that ive had enough tears today ha!

Popcorn1979 · 27/01/2017 13:14

Ginger and sew - so sorry to hear you are both having such a tough time. Got everything crossed for a positive outcome for you both.

Nothing to report from me - no spotting for last 2 days but still no real symptoms! Another scan booked for next Friday (8.5 weeks) then all going well will try and hold out till 12 weeks!

Sending positive thoughts to everyone!

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 13:29

Thanks popcorn our due dates are a day apart u just realised! I will be 8+6 next friday.

I have no symptoms either apart from being shattered.

Glad your spotting has stopped and im sure next scan will be brill!

Edenslight · 27/01/2017 13:35

ginger glad to hear you sounding cheerful. Bit jealous of your duvet day Wink

popcorn also glad to hear of someone else with no symptoms!! Driving myself mad looking for nausea or strong sense of smell but nothing. Just want to get to scan on Tuesday now & find out what is going on.

Anyone any suggestions for a good Friday night movie to watch with dh? Not total brain mush but not too serious either.

purpleviolet1 · 27/01/2017 15:01

Hope everyone had a great weekend, sounds like lots of scans early next week , wishing you all the best of luck !

Netflix is great. Been watching fresh prince as well, and just got into homeland. I'm always behind with the things to watch haha. Person of interest was really good as well.

31 weeks today. Still browsing for gender neutral baby clothes , nothing tickled my fancy yet... going to mamas and papas next weekend.

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 15:19

I watches an episode of client list earlier looka easy enough to get into!

I only ever watch funny stuff really. Dp has concentration span of a goldfish Smile

Bridget jones baby was good if youve not seen that?

It's been nice. I did something silly well not silly be ordered some more internet cheapies on the basis that this is bad news and i will need to get a negative before ttc again. They've arrived today and i have the urge Blush

Edenslight · 27/01/2017 16:00

Oh ginger I can understand the urge - my bathroom drawer is full of the proof - but if you can at all I think you are better waiting till Monday. You've been so strong this far and it's only another 48 hours until you actually really know what is happening. I was so tempted to do another clearb before my first scan so I would be 'prepared' until some wise person on another thread said they are not always accurate and you might be torturing yourself for nothing.

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 16:05

I know you're right eden if it was light that would be fine but if it was dark i think it might give me false hope.

They were delivered to dm's so i shall leave them there until i need them again. Thanks for the advice.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 27/01/2017 17:45

purple I like Frugi and some of the scandi brands like Maxomorra for more gender neutral / fun and bright items. Babipur always have a nice selection of different ethical brands if you're into that. Or h&m are sometimes alright at the budget end.

jpeg28 · 27/01/2017 18:50

popcorn all sounds really positive! Hope the scan goes well next week.

Ginger I'm glad you had a good duvet day... try to resist the urge to test!! I was a testaholic after I got my bfp and it drove me mad!! Scan is Monday right?? Everything crossed for you.

I'm feeling so uncomfortable today... I've just had a bath but even that was uncomfortable!
28+4 today... getting worried that if I'm uncomfortable now how will I be in 10 weeks!!

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 19:15

jpeg do you have a good pregnancy pillow? That helped me loads with my son.

Yes Monday. I am not going to test on everyones advice. Thanks, just what i needed to hear!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

LynseyH · 27/01/2017 19:46

Wishing everyone with scans next week all the best.
It's a tough time that completely overrides everything else... wouldn't wish that on anyone.
jpeg if anything like me you'll have days where you feel the most uncomfortable you ever have, then it'll go again and you'll be fine til another off day. Baths usually help me though so afraid advice is scarce from me!
I thought maybe things were happening for me today, was even worried about waters breaking in public but all has gone quiet, cramps have stopped and no signs of water or plugs or anything...dammit!!

Gingerbreadmam · 27/01/2017 19:51

Oh lyns how frustrating. You will have to have a hot curry for tea and dtd before bed and hopefully this baby will get on it's way ha!

LynseyH · 27/01/2017 20:59

Haha everyone keeps telling me we should dtd but I have no energy for that at all! I'm having a cuppa and going to bed lol. I'm 38 weeks today so still lots of time, I just really believe it won't be much longer and when things seem to be kicking off, I get nervous but excited we're there....then it's not and it's so frustrating!

Hi ladies. I've done 4 tests since Monday, two sainsburys, a £1 one and a frer. All have been varying degrees of faint positives. AF is due today, so my first test was taken quite early.
I had a very early MC or cp at the end of November last year and the tests I took then were faint positives too so I'm worried sick that the faint positives this time mean it'll happen again.
I'm noticing more symptoms this time, such as painful boobs and nausea, but I'm sure I'm just convincing myself that they're there! I'm also experiencing AF type cramps which is stressing me out.
How do people remain calm during this time? I'm a wreck! I had a miscarriage 13 years ago but didn't conceive again until two years later, so the emotions weren't as raw during the subsequent pregnancy as they are now.
It's just draining!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 27/01/2017 23:58

Hi ducks they're probably just faint because you are testing so early. I had lots of cramps/back ache in the first few weeks with this pregnancy (13wks tomorrow) which I think is fairly normal/common.

If you can (big if I know) maybe try holding off testing for another week or so to allow your hormone levels to rise.

In terms or remaining calm try and distract yourself and just take one day at a time? Easier said than done I know.

Gingerbreadmam · 28/01/2017 07:38

ducks i know it's very difficult but i wouldnt test until at least the day af is due.

A chemical pregnancy is a difficult thing and testing early is what detects them. I've not had one but my understanding is you generally have a normal period aroind the time af is due if it is a chemical?

I know everyone is different but if it was me i'd rather not know about a chemical. The emotional rollercoaster would be too much hence why i think testing when af is.due or a day or so after is the best bet.

Fwiw i dont.think any of those tests are feint. My first tests day af was due were a lot feinter than those so congrats Flowers

Sew3stitch · 28/01/2017 07:39

Hi ducks, I actually think those lines are pretty strong for before AF so try and stay positive. Excellent advice from I'm, try not to test too much as I think it can increase the anxiety (I'm certainly regretting doing so many tests myself!)

Hope everyone has some nice weekend plans? Think we'll go to see La La Land today but the hubby fancies Hacksaw Ridge. Wonder who'll win...

Gingerbreadmam · 28/01/2017 07:40

Oh and af cramps are completely normal. I had them for at least a week!
