I bought lots of maternity stuff on eBay at the start, most of it didn't fit so was sort of a waste. I do have lots of maternity clothes, I'm just getting so big now that even they don't fit!! I can still just about squeeze into my maternity jeans Blush
The best work trousers I have are from
Next, they have a lovely bump band and look really smart. It's definitely harder for me on the top because of giant boobs! I have a few jersey tops but I just look gross!! I'm sure I can make do for the last few weeks!

purpleviolet1 · 26/02/2017 07:42

I've only really got the H&M skinny maternity jeans and an umbrella style dress from primark which I feel comfortable in really now... everything else is beginning to feel too fitted...gonna just make do this last week at work and then probably stay in my pyjamas at home lol!!

My best friends threw me a surprise baby shower last night it was so sweet. The thought that counts more than anything else. They are the closest thing I have to sisters so meant a lot and I was completely caught off guard.

INeedNewShoes · 26/02/2017 08:27

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm ok for tops (got loads of hand-me-downs from friends) so if I could find just one pair of smart-ish jeans I could probably get by with those and my leggings for smarter wear (luckily the dress code at work is quite relaxed!).

I might bite the bullet and risk buying a pair of jeans on eBay (none of the more budget-friendly shops seem to stock non-skinny jeans now so second hand is probably the way to go).

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 26/02/2017 09:00

That's really sweet purple, so nice you have a good group fo friends to do such a lovely thing for you.

I honestly can't remember what I wore with DD near the end. Probably leggings and OHs tshirts, which as he is 6'6" and I'm 5'4" were like dresses on me. It's quite possible I didn't really get dressed much as I had a month off work before she arrived as she wwnt 2 wks overdue.

Pretty sure I felt another little bubble pop this morning, I'm going to count it as a movement and be very excited.
Less exciting is the cold symptoms I can feel coming on again. Grr.

Sah1987 · 26/02/2017 11:53

Hi I've been sitting in back ground for a few weeks. I'm on the Facebook page so catch up with people on there, but just thought I'd pop my head up and say hello again.

I'm now 28 weeks and have 2 weeks left at work before 6.5 weeks holidays and then 2 weeks maternity before I get induced so I'm on count down.

I didn't feel kicks until 22 weeks with my first and around 18 weeks with my second - however I am larger so probably why.

Good luck to everyone and to anyone worried - mantra is "today I am pregnant"

XxBecxX · 26/02/2017 11:54

Hya girls, I'm so tired at the moment I can't even be bothered to post lol
I do read what you's are upto every couple of days but I'm just tiredly lurking lol
32wks here, feeling huge and exhausted, can't bend and can't stand for long lol
Had another diabetes app Friday and even though o think I've personally done awesome only having 2 high readings this last week they want to put me on insulin.
I can't cope with the thought of it, he's giving me one more week but I feel like it was to prepare me for the jabs as apposed to get out of them.
Although they keep saying the baby is large and he does feel a good size, he's only put on 1lb 9oz in 4 weeks so that makes him approx 4lb 9oz, I've been trying to guesstimate how big he might be and thought if he puts on another say 2lb in the next month that would make him 6lb 9oz at 36 and even if he put on 1/2 a pound each week from 36-38 (when they are inducing me) he should be roughly 7lb 9oz.
I've had 4 at 38wks weighing 8.5 8.10 10.1 & 7.10, my 4th was born at 37wks and was 7.3 so although I have had a whopper and some good sized ones 7.9 isn't out of the realm of possible is it girls? Or am I being a bit delusional and he's gunna be another whopper lol
The consultant said if he carries on the way he's going I'm looking at over 4kg, (4kg=8lb 8oz) but I think he's based that on full term.
I'm just a little worried about my PPH last time and the diabetes this time and the baby being past the 97th on the chart it's flaring my anxiety.
Give me some reassurance girls lol

jpeg28 · 26/02/2017 13:24

purple that's so lovely of your friends!

Sorry you're having a worrying time Bec with the diabetes. Surely all the scans/measurements are just estimates? My teeny size 6 cousin had such tiny bumps and had two 10lb babies!!! I hope you manage to avoid the insulin!

I've just come back from watching a friend doing the Brighton half marathon. I'm exhausted from walking back and forth long the seafront watching her Grin I only walked 4 miles but I'm done in!! This time next year I'm thinking I'll be actually running it rather than watching!!

XxBecxX · 26/02/2017 14:22

Jpeg the thought of that makes me sleepy 😌 lol

MrsAlanPartridge · 26/02/2017 14:28

I lost the thread for a while, but popping back to catch up and say hi.
Hi!!
19+4 here and still wobbling on and off! Also I think I should relent and get this filling I so badly need- I put it off as was due at the time I was 6 weeks.
But now it's very painful. It's my first ever filling too- not bad to make it to 42!
Anyway, has anyone had a filling in pregnancy? How was it? Help please!
Hope everyone is good and sending everyone big fluffy pregnancy vibes Grin

Smurf123 · 26/02/2017 14:31

Congrats to all the people who are getting closer to the end and feeling baby move! It must feel Amazing!
My anxiety went away for all of about half a day after our scan on Friday.and then yesterday I thought any discharge was very slightly coloured, really not much but maybe slight brownish colour. Then about 1 o'clock today I felt something and went to the bathroom and there was some bleeding it was very dark not red and it was almost gone instantly after I wiped. Been a few times since then and it virtually stopped altogether.
I'm 6 weeks 2 days (approx) and they saw the heartbeat on an abdominal scan on Friday. Nurse said "heartbeat is going a dinger". Could it be that it's just a bit more implantation bleeding? My husband is in Denmark visiting his family for the week and isn't back to Thursday.
I can't remember who said it before but I'm trying to be positive I'm trying to remember "today I'm pregnant" this baby is so wanted and both us and our parents are so excited but I just want everything to be OK. I'm terrifisd of it going wrong and letting everyone down.

MrsAlanPartridge · 26/02/2017 14:33

bec oh I'm so sorry- can't blame you for feeling anxious. Are you due a section? Was your PPH very bad?
I hope you've told all these worries to the consultant- I think it's important for them to know about your anxieties, to help put your mind at rest. Sending hugs xx

jpeg28 · 26/02/2017 15:56

smurf it could definitely be implantation still there. It's such a worrying time and I was exactly the same, nothing put my mind at ease and now I sometimes wonder how I got through those early days. Saying "today I'm pregnant" definitely helps... and sharing anxieties on here. Sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts your way!

MrsAP good to hear from you. No experience with the fillings I'm afraid. Hope it gets sorted though, tooth ache is horrible!!

SayItIsntSo1 · 26/02/2017 16:28

I think I need a virtual slap. Or maybe I just need the internet taking away from me completely...

I am getting myself in a bit of a state worrying about my scan on Thursday. I have done too much googling and cannot shake that I 'don't have enough symptoms'. I can see the darkened room and hear those horrible words after the long silence.

My boobs are bigger, my belly is swollen and I can take no comfort in it. I feel desperate for this to work out Sad.

Sorry for the downer. I don't feel like I can keep talking to the few friends that know about it as it's all I seem to go on about.

Smurf123 · 26/02/2017 16:30

Hi jpeg thank you that really helps to hear. How far along are you now?
I have a scan previously booked for Friday. My mum suggested I could see if I can get an earlier one to check everything after today but I'm not sure I want to go without my husband and he isn't back in the country until Thursday evening.
Hope its all going well for you and everyone on here :-)

jpeg28 · 26/02/2017 16:44

Sorry you're feeling so anxious and worried Sayit.... step away from google!!! Everyone is different in terms of symptoms. I got myself into a right state when my boobs stopped hurting... I think if I couldn't have broken google with the amount of searches I did I would have!! Try to take it one day at a time until Thursday. Maybe do something nice every day that you can focus on. Easier said than done I know.

Smurf I'm coming up to 33 weeks now. I never thought I would make it this far... I still get worried everyday if I've not felt the baby move, or anything else I can worry about!!

Smurf123 · 26/02/2017 16:49

Hi sayit how far along are you?
As others have suggests im trying "today I'm pregnant" and taking it one day at a time! I had some bleeding last well and went to my scan on Friday gone past thinking the same as you. But I saw growth and a teeny tiny baby with a heartbeat (I measured at 6 weeks).
I had some bleeding again today and am right back to worrying but I'm trying to remember that things might still be OK. My next scan is on Friday.
I totally understand how your feeling and hope everything goes well for you. Lots of people on here will vouch for each pregnancy being different in terms of pregnancy symptoms or lack of.
Feel free to share your worries on here I think r have all been there (or still there) :-)

Gingerbreadmam · 26/02/2017 17:02

sayit i was exactly like you. went in the scan alone as was so sure it was bad news and had my speech prepared for demanding an mmc be dealt with asap. i was completely convinced. i had few symptoms really. i guess i didnt feel normal but certainly didny feel lile i did when pregnant with pfb.

i got the shock of my life when i was told everything was fine. had been spotting /bleeding two weeks at that point too!

i used the mottos from this thread constantly to keep me going. today i am pregnant and its not over until its over. they do help!

got my 12 week scan wednesday with the consultant (will be 11+5) and dreading it already. Have convinced myself going to get bad screening results. it is crazy.

Naschkatze · 26/02/2017 17:22

Hi all,

Just a quick update from me. Our little boy was born yesterday morning, weighing 6lb3oz. I can't believe he's here and ours!
Wishing you all healthy and happy pregnancies. I'm going to hang around here and look out for how you all are.

Smurf123 · 26/02/2017 17:24

Congrats on getting to 33 weeks jpeg that seems so far away for me at this stage :-) I just saw a past from you on another thread about fluid around the ovary and I know you mentioned on they that it caused you some bleeding around 5-13 weeks. At my first scan a couple of weeks ago they mentioned something on my left ovary I think she said corpus luteum or something and it was about 2.5vm at the time. I'm wondering now could that also be a cause of bleeding no one has mentioned it since and I've thought nothing more about it... Mainly because as soon as I get into epu I go into a mild state of panic and can't get out much more other than is it OK... and forget everything else I might have been thinking about asking or saying.

Smurf123 · 26/02/2017 17:26

Hi Naschkatze big congratulations on the birth of your baby boy!! Hope you are both doing well :-)

jpeg28 · 26/02/2017 17:39

Nasch so so happy for you!!!

smurf that could be what caused the bleeding, it was for me anyway and apparently is very common. I can't believe I have made it this far either!! I remember in the early stages people on here were 20... 30+ weeks and I just thought I would never get there, it just seemed so far away. I wish I could say it went quickly... but the first 12 weeks were the longest ever!! Then it went quite fast in the middle and now it feels really slow again!!

INeedNewShoes · 26/02/2017 17:42

Congratulations Nasch Smile This is lovely news!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 26/02/2017 18:14

Hi bec sorry I have no experience of diabetes so don't really know what to suggest but your calculations don't sound unreasonable. I would say definitely voice your fears etc to your docs and surely they can't force you to have anything you don't want?

mrsalan I had my first ever filling when I was pregnant with DD, not bad I thought having not been to dentist in 10yrs. Anyway, it wasn't too bad at all so yes get it done now while it's free and you don't have to juggle a baby at the same time.

smurf it does feel pretty amazing, had a proper definite pop/flutter in the car earlier which made me actually giggle with excitement and got OH all smiley too. So all in all feeling pretty good today.
I had spotting at 6 wks on and off for a few days, my first scan was at 7+2 and they said it was probably implantation bleeding so try not to worry too much. And whatever happens it is not you "letting everyone down", I know it feels that way and I said almost exact same things to my partner but hnless you are going round sniffing oven cleaner or some such madness you cannot blame yourself if things go wrong. That way madness lies.

I was lucky in that I had Christmas to distract me a bit but those early weeks dragged like crazy and were full of worry but here I am 17+1 and feeling movements.

I'm not sure what my point is really, just that you are not alone in how you are feeling.

Gingerbreadmam · 26/02/2017 18:24

congratulations nasch!lovely news.

oliversmummy26 · 26/02/2017 18:36

grain I had a big bleed at 11+1 last Sunday and thought it was the end. Quick scan and everything was fine, heartbeat and little wriggler. I've had brown discharge on and off all week, mostly just in the mornings. There was no reason for the bleed at all, I have decided that it was a sensitive cervix and too much sex the day beforeBlush. It's good your scan is this week though, only 4 more sleeps!

smurf it could definitely still be a little left over implantation bleeding at this stage and having already seen a heartbeat is a great sign.

nasch congratulations that's great news, so pleased for you!

I've been swinging from anxious and scared to excited all weekend about our scan tomorrow morning. I worry that there will be no heartbeat then tell myself not to be so silly as I've already seen that heartbeat 3 times! Then I worry that we will get bad screening results and will have to go through a cvs and worry about possible miscarriage when there may actually be nothing wrong! Then I worry that there will be a problem and we will tfmr which DH and I have both unaminously agreed that we will do and we'll have to start all over again. Again.

DH tells me I'm being silly and he's more than likely right!
