grainmum · 23/02/2017 19:12

That's good news mrsk. All settled here, had an afternoon nap too so feeling a bit more human. Thank you all ladies for the wonderful support on here today xx

Gingerbreadmam · 23/02/2017 19:32

glad things are well grain thats good to hear!

TheLegendOfBeans · 23/02/2017 19:33

I take my hat off to you grain. you seem so balanced and I'm in awe.

I'm feeling things twanging and aching and just basically hope that it's stretching and that not going to wind up with a repeat of last time.

I'm just feeling glum and apprehensive.

Also: daft question, but I know I conceived 27/28 January, so that makes me just under six (?) weeks pregnant, yeah?

Tired and confused and tired. Did I mention tired?

knorrig · 23/02/2017 19:37

Great news grain and Mrs K.

Yes Legend...you get a 'freebie' two weeks effectively as it goes from date of last period.

MrsK8541 · 23/02/2017 19:54

Glad you're more settled now grain.

legend I have had the sort of pains you're describing since I found out I was pregnant. Doctor keeps reassuring me it's just our body stretching and moving. In my previous 2 miscarriages I actually felt nothing until I had been bleeding for a few days, so sometimes feeling your body accommodating baby is actually a good sign. Even so, pains are scary!!!

SayItIsntSo1 · 23/02/2017 20:56

Glad to hear that Grain. I am also in awe of how calm you seem to be. Glad you're ok too Mrs.

Today is the first day I haven't been shattered. Both relieved and worried. Boobs are still tender (when I poke them Blush). Stomach definitely can't be sucked in. I think about this time with my MMC I got quite ill. Every time I ate I was in agony and I could hardly get out of bed. I went to the doctors and she told me it was just morning sickness. I think it was my body telling me something was wrong. I had no idea... now I can't seem to trust my body this time around.

Ginger I haven't even dared join the antenatal threads. I've thought about it, but I'm just not ready yet.

TheLegendOfBeans · 23/02/2017 21:10

Ginger
Say
I'm 10000% not joining the antenatal threads either. Even posting here can feel scary...in the respect it's scary to think/plan/hope/enjoy anything when you get pg again after a miscarriage.

Just call me Eeyore x

jpeg28 · 23/02/2017 22:02

Great news grain and MrsK!!

I agree with how hard it is with the antenatal threads. I did join the April one and luckily a few of us on here are also on it. Sometimes it's really hard, especially at the beginning, when we are so so anxious and it's nice to be able to share the anxieties with people who understand.

I've just come back from the most boring NCT class! Our usual leader has had to have an emergency appendectomy and we have a new leader. I'm obviously concerned and feel so bad for our usual lady after what she has gone through, but 2.5 hours tonight was SUCH a struggle!!

Gingerbreadmam · 24/02/2017 06:46

tbh i find the naievety very hard on the antenatal boards. im obviously very envious but people do things very early and it panics me.

plus there are obviously people that go through what we've been through which is just awful to see altho i am happy to be able to hand hold in those situations having walked that path.

purpleviolet1 · 24/02/2017 07:18

It took me a while to join the antenatal thread too , I think I was over 20 weeks , and it's only recently that I do post regularly. There was a time I followed this thread but didn't post much either. Just have to do what feels right for you, there is no right or wrong as such...

35 weeks today! 1 week left at work.

Gingerbreadmam · 24/02/2017 07:59

eeeek purple so close! bet you are looking forward to breaking up. how are you doing?

quick question to all, did you just dye hair as normal?

i had mine bleached all over just after christmas. roots are ridiculous so im am going to have to go for an ombre or something. i was going to wait until after scan next week but its pretty bad so im thinking maybe tomorrow. just wondered what everyone else did? im 11weeks today.

grainmum · 24/02/2017 08:42

ginger completely agree about the naivety. It's what made me so angry about my first MMC. It robbed me of the joy you experience when you first discover you are pregnant.

Smurf123 · 24/02/2017 08:45

We had a scan today after the bleeding on Sunday night. We got to see a heartbeat on an abdominal ultrasound:-) I cried . It's still very early days (she said 6 weeks no one has given us an indication of how long until now) but amazing to have seen a heartbeat so here fingers crossed. Said the bleeding was probably tail end of implantation bleeding and she couldn't see any signs of bleeding on scan.

INeedNewShoes · 24/02/2017 09:04

Great news Smurf Smile

grainmum · 24/02/2017 09:20

Brilliant smurf!

Gingerbreadmam · 24/02/2017 09:42

lovely news smurf

knorrig · 24/02/2017 10:06

Great news Smurf!

I've not joined any antenatal threads either. I was on one last time after 1st mc and it made me very nervous and then it was so awful to go on and say I was leaving the thread as I'd had another mc....feel nice and safe here with you ladies who understand what it's like!

Wow Purple...35 weeks!! Grin I remember when you got your BFP on the other thread, how very exciting!

22+6 today here.

purpleviolet1 · 24/02/2017 10:42

Gingerbread - feeling ok thanks apart from really swollen feet which are quite sore ! Totally ready to finish work but got one more week to get through now.....

Smurf that's fantastic news!

Knorrig.. bless you.. I was so nervous when I got this third bfp after two mcs. It really was a horrible time, especially as mil passed away when I was about 6.5 weeks (and we lived together).

Doesn't feel real that I'm
35 weeks but at the same time i still have anxiety over things going wrong. Until baby is in our arms it's hard to relax.

Gingerbreadmam · 24/02/2017 11:17

that's good purple poor you with the feet though. wont be long before you can put them up and relax a little. i know what u mean until not until baby is there safe in your arms.

has anyones nails gone a purpley colour? im sure mine did in my last pregnancy too. googled it yesterday and pretty normal by the sounds but just being nosey.

Alexxx17 · 24/02/2017 12:20

Hello ladies, may I join you here?

Currently 9+1wks with (hopefully) DC2 following a spontaneous mc at almost 6 weeks in Oct and a mmc at 9 weeks 7.5 yrs ago. (I'm still scarred from that one). DD is now 6 and I can't believe I'm going through it all again. Hmm

I've opted not to go to the EPU for an early scan this time – too many bad memories for me and I feel like it would only fuel the paranoia. Everything thus far has been text book with awful ms and no bleeding at all, but I can't help but worry. I've had both types of mc so simultaneously checking for blood every time I pee, and also imagining getting to 12 wks only to find no heartbeat. I'm just not used to waiting this long.

Anyway, sorry to vent, best of luck to everyone here. xx

oliversmummy26 · 24/02/2017 12:54

Grain so pleased things seem to have settled and congrats smurf that's great news.

Welcome Alex and congratulations on your pregnancy. The wait is awful isn't it? I'm 12 weeks tomorow and to be honest the last 2 weeks have flown by, hopefully it will be the same for you.

Legend I'm getting loads of stretching pains, and they always scare me, especially the achy back, I just can't seem to lie on my back anymore without it hurting. With my MMC I had no pain until 2 days after the bleeding started and then it was mostly back ache so I think that will always worry me..

I am desperate for baby to start moving so that I can keep track of it better. Very tempted by a doppler, but I know that that could well worry me more!

I know what you all mean about the antenatal boards, I have joined the September one and do comment, but am having to ignore the facebook group requests and questions about buggies and birth choices...I just can't think that far ahead yet. Just need to take it one day at a time for a while.

Really hoping everything goes well at my scan on Monday and that results come through for screening quickly (though not too quickly that I get an early phone call telling me there's a probelm!) I'm so ready to stop trying to hide this now and need to tell people!

Alexxx17 · 24/02/2017 13:49

Thank you! And good luck with the scan. xx

Gingerbreadmam · 24/02/2017 14:06

welcome alex you're in good company here. textbook sounds good! i hate scans too.

oliver good luck for monday. i lnow what you mean about feeling it. apart from tiredness and sore boobs i could forget now although ive just nearly died walking upstairs at work could do with a little window ha!

INeedNewShoes · 24/02/2017 15:08

Welcome Alex - you're doing well. Not too long until a 12-week scan for you now. I felt the same about early scans as you do.

You've come to the right place! This thread has been so helpful for me. Lots of ladies at different stages so there's always someone a few weeks ahead of you to remind you that it's perfectly possible to get to the next milestone Smile
