Hello all, hope everyone is having good days. Half term here at the mo so having a couple of days off, saw my friend with 2wk old today and made me quite excited, such a cutey and nice to have new baby cuddles.

Also had my 16wk midwife appointment this afternoon, gave me my blood results which were all fine. Bit of an odd and very brief appt and felt a bit rushed out at the end, plus it wasn't "my" midwife.

Still good results are good and just under 4wks to my 20wk scan now.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 22/02/2017 21:43

Did I break the thread?

AmyB1986 · 22/02/2017 22:42

Imgunnasing I think the thread maybe broken. Glad your mw apt went well.

Quick question; I have horrendous toothache and only cocodomal in the house... can I take it? Just one so I can sleep?
I've had a crap time sleeping since I found out I'm pg again. A mix of hormones and anxiety.
Currently looking after my friends dog while her bitch is in season. I was actually sleeping for the first time soundly when he came and licked my face to wake me up because he needed a crap at 6.30 this morning. He's a staffy with smelly breath but gorgeous all the same.

Feeling tired, stressed and emotion

grainmum · 23/02/2017 06:56

Well just woke up and put DHs hand on my bump, then went to the loo and saw blood. In the loop. Not only my PJs but not just a little on wiping either. Pad on, let's see what happens.

Gingerbreadmam · 23/02/2017 07:23

wow doom that will come round quick.

good results on the bloods too. some of the mw appointments are terrible arent they you just feel like a bit of paperwork.

grain how far along are you now? ive had lots of bleeding and as far as i know.everything is fine. two good scans. fingers crossed for you.

grainmum · 23/02/2017 07:48

11w today. Just when I dared get a bit positive. Boobs definitely not tender today

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 23/02/2017 08:04

amy don't know if you took the cocodamol or not, I think it's not advised but not sure tbh. Also I'm pretty sure when I had sinusitis with DD my gp gave me either codeine or cocodamol and I took it without any problems but I would check with your doc first.

Thanks ginger am hoping it flies by and I can hold off telling work folk til after, though we have a night out next saturday and I think they might realise I'm not drinking. We shall see.

Oh grain hopefully it's just a bit of random spotting as several of the others have had, fingers crossed for you.

My boobs were super tender for the first approx 10 weeks and now just occasionally so that might not be anything to worry about either.

As an aside - I was having horrible stabby pains in my left boob but when and got properly measured for bras the other day and think the fact I was wearing 34C and D when I'm actually a 30F may have been a contributing factor!
Also really struggling with digestive issues. Fun times!

Gingerbreadmam · 23/02/2017 08:12

have you had any scans grain my boobs are barely tender or veiny first thing they seem to get worse through the day. i'm 11weeks tomo and think i spotted a little bit of blood again this morning. not worried at the moment. Have you got any pain or just blood? i would ring epu if you are worried.

Gingerbreadmam · 23/02/2017 08:14

doom fingers crossed. you are doing well with work. i was hoping to keep it to myself until 16 weeks but you can tell already. i am scarfed up for the time being but that's probably as big a giveaway as anything.

grainmum · 23/02/2017 08:23

ginger no I haven't had any scans. My current plan is if it settles ignore, if it keeps going call EPU. 12w scan next Friday so not long to wait. Only thing is we're booked for centre parcs Monday after so not sure how logistics of management would work out if bad news. No pain just bleeding hoping that's a good sign. Parents here for a week, they don't know anything about the pregnancy, not sure if fancy telling them in these circumstances.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 23/02/2017 08:39

Slightly baggy work shirts help ginger, you can tell when I wear my normal clothes, I'm sure some have them have guessed but don't want to ask. Bloating seems to have settled down a bit too so bump almost looks smaller now than it did a few weeks ago.

Sounds like a plan grain hopefully all will be well and you will see your wriggly bean and lovely beatinf heart next week. And definitely good you have no pain.

Gingerbreadmam · 23/02/2017 08:55

yes definitely good no pain. i think you are taking the right approach grain. i know what you mean about worrying about managing it. try and stay positive for now though. symptoms are supposed to deplete a bit now so the boob thing is nothing to worry about.

good tactics doom im sure my colleagues know but.i guess until they hear it from the horses mouth so to.speak it is.just suspicion.

MrsK8541 · 23/02/2017 09:34

Hi grain. I'm 11 weeks on Saturday and my boobs aren't tender anymore, just a bit veiny. I'm the opposite, I have niggly pains in my pubic bone and aching lower back but no bleeding. I think if you are worried, give the EPU a ring to hopefully put your mind at rest. Sending love across the ether!

theAntsareMyFriends · 23/02/2017 09:42

ginger I think your bump is always more noticeable to you than anyone else. I think I look like a wale but no one has noticed unless I've told them and I'm still 'out' at work (I will tell them on Monday when I'm 31weeks)

grain I hope the bleeding stops soon and you can enjoy your weekend. So many people on here have bleeding and most of them turn out to be fine so fingers-crossed that will be the case for you. My boobs stopped being tender around the 9-10week mark which made me panic but I guess it is just hormones settling down so I wouldn't get too downhearted about that.

Great news for getting to 16weeks doom. 16weeks felt like a major milestone to me and was when I started telling people when I was pg with DS.

I hope everyone else is doing well and hope to see a few more baby announcements soon.

As for me, nausea has returned with a vengeance and I have the joys of vomiting up blood every morning that seems to collect in my throat over night but all of this seems like nothing at all when I feel a big kick and remember why it is worth all the uncomfortableness and anxiety that goes with being PG. I've got a MW appointment tomorrow and will come out feeling like a pincushion as I've got anti-D and whooping cough. Just hoping she will listen to the heartbeat again too.

Gingerbreadmam · 23/02/2017 10:06

oh ants what a lovely post. yes it is all worth it. dont envy you with all the jabs.

my.mw tried to give me the flu one when i was there but i put it off and might not bother. is it important? i am prone to colds so it will no doubt make me feel bad and we should be out of that season before long.

yeah dp keeps claiming i look the same in like wtf where are you looking. i am fat already but it doesnt look like rolls of fat. it is round. my scarf is hiding at work thankfully.

grainmum · 23/02/2017 10:11

Comparing boob sensations is reassuring!

Comparing boob sensations is reassuring!

purpleviolet1 · 23/02/2017 11:03

Thinking of you grain mum, hopefully will settle. No pain is a good sign!

oliversmummy26 · 23/02/2017 11:07

grain I'm 11+5 and my boobs stopped being really tender a week or so ago, so I wouldn't worry about that too much, symptoms will start tailing off now if they haven't already as others have said.

I would definitely call EPU or GP if you can't self refer, they may well get you in for a quick scan to check and then at least you know. Waiting until next Friday will seem like an age...

So close to 12 week scan here (Monday 27th) and getting very excited, though still suffering from scanxiety..I'm huge, I haven't weighed myself but I feel like I've put on loads of weight. Better in the mornings and I can breathe my tummy in, but by hometime it's massive and still super bloated. I'm still getting trapped wind, which is a massive pain. I think several people at work suspect that I'm pregnant (they all know we're trying) so I'll probably tell them in a couple of weeks and they'll all go, yes, we'd guessed! lol

SayItIsntSo1 · 23/02/2017 17:00

How are you doing grain? Hope everything settled down.

I have felt a lot better today but can feel some tiredness coming on now. I feel so panicky if I have a spell of feeling ok. I keep reading how rough everyone feels and wonder why not me totally forgetting I've felt pretty bad these last few weeks. 7 days until my next scan and then I'm hoping I can feel a bit more confident about things.

Got to work tomorrow and do a 200 mile round trip then meet friends for dinner. I'm dreading it without the normal caffeine quantities to prop me up!

jpeg28 · 23/02/2017 17:16

grain how are you?? Sorry you're having such a worrying time. My boobs stopped hurting at 11 weeks and I was really panicked! For me it was like a light switch that all the first trimester symptoms just stopped.

I'm feeling huge hot and swollen today!! Cannot seem to cool down, feel are swollen and I'm just feeling massive!!!

Olivers best of luck for Monday!

ginger I agree with what ants said... when I announced my pregnancy to my students at 20 weeks I was feeling huge and they didn't believe me!!

Ants throwing up blood sounds awful! But you're right those lovely (sometimes painful!) kicks make it all worthwhile!

Gingerbreadmam · 23/02/2017 17:27

sayit i havent been on the antenatal threads for ages and actually feel a lot better for it.

probably just me then. least having a bump is reassuring.

my chair at work is really doing my back in. its not back ache as such but i feel like ive knocked it or pulled it or something and its getting on my nerves.

jpeg sounds like you're having a tough day. hope you can put your feet up tonite and relax a little.

knorrig · 23/02/2017 18:25

hope it's stopped now grain I agree you should call EPU and try and get a scan sooner.

ginger re your back can you get one of those wedge things for your chair, a friend gave me one and it really helped.

have just been away to france for a few days and felt really achy with all the walking around - nice restful day today working from home.

MrsK8541 · 23/02/2017 18:47

How are things grain? I went to EPU today with pain and all was fine thankfully. The scanner just said its hormones causing things to stretch and move and it can be painful. Baby was moving around and measured the same as our dates. Nausea is back tonight, but I think it's antibiotics and an adventurous lunch option (think lots of BBQ sauce).
