congratulations legend. lovely way to break the news!

you will feel right at home here everyone is keeping me sane hope we can do the same for you!

TheLegendOfBeans · 14/02/2017 09:06

Thanks guys.

My modus operandi for the next 12 weeks is to try and pretend it's not happening.

Me and DH can have our pom-poms moment tonight then it's back to absolute normality.

At the risk of outing myself DH and I are moving to Holland in about 14 weeks. The past few months of TTC have been hell with my not working (due to shitty former employer and inflexibility around working hours) and living in my own head.

I've just started volunteering locally, we are awaiting planning permission for the house we need to sell, we need to get that on the market, we need to settle on what city in Holland we will live in, we have to arrange relocation, we have to sell my flat in Scotland and I have to learn how to cycle.

Hoping all that will allow me to "forget" until I get my 12w scan which will be just before we move.

Then I need to get myself registered in Holland! Best maternity services in Europe though so hallelujah to that x

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 14/02/2017 09:11

Congratulations legend and welcome.
I'd say all of that should certainly keep you busy over the next few months!

jpeg28 · 14/02/2017 09:15

Welcome and congrats Legend!! Such a cute way to tell your DH and the best valentines gift ever!!!

Sayit I started pregnancy Pilates at 14 weeks and it was amazing! Unfortunately she moved the class time and I havent been for ages and I really notice the difference. I'm started pregnancy yoga next week for the final few weeks!!

Had my whooping cough vaccine yesterday and my arm kills!! Just had my 31 week app too but was with GP instead of MW. She said bump is measuring perfect and was nice to hear HB again. But then she took my blood pressure as soon as I got up off the bed. I normally am 116/64 every time and I was 134/87 so she did it again and it was 124/77. Now she said I need to see my MW next week in case it's increasing. Surely me getting off the bed and having it straight away would affect it??

Now off for a shopping day with Mum.. I love half term!!

Popcorn1979 · 14/02/2017 09:52

Congrats Legend!

Ginger - I checked this morning and it is 400mg morning and night I am on with Prism. Hope that helps - how is bleeding now?

Whatsername17 · 14/02/2017 10:07

Anyone heard from lucky? She must have had her baby now? I can't believe that my little squidgy is 3 weeks 4 days old today! I also can't believe how quickly we've settled into life as a family of four. The first two weeks make you feel like you'll never get dressed again but you get through it and then it's like you can't remember life before they arrived.

Gingerbreadmam · 14/02/2017 10:15

thanks popcorn it's just spotting mostly when i wipe but a bit more in the morning when i get up.

still feeling sick and boobs hurting ao im assuming im fine. just spoke to gp, she cant prescribe 400mg as can only take that on the trial due to legislation or something but shes giving me more 200mg ones and its upto me what i do with them Grin

Macauley · 14/02/2017 14:02

whatser!Grin haha so true! Although I've changed myself and little miss about three times today because she is a bit pukey. Going to attempt to leave the house in 15 minutes!

I keep coming back to see if there is any update on baby lucky Smile

Naschkatze · 14/02/2017 14:40

Also been wondering about Lucky today.

Time is flying Whatser.

38+4 and willing this baby to come soon because my pelvis feels like it is being split in two.

Welcome to newbies, you're in the right place!

knorrig · 14/02/2017 16:04

Congrats Legend -- very happy to see you here! And yes, a lovely way to tell you DH. Great you have lots on to keep you distracted too - it was the sickness that kept me distracted in the early days!! Here's to a happy healthy pregnancy!

And congrats for yesterday Say - glad all it well!

Macauley · 14/02/2017 17:37

Ouch nasch pelvic pain is the worst! Hope its your turn soon Smile

purpleviolet1 · 14/02/2017 18:27

Also thinking of lucky! Really nice to hear from You mcauley and whatser!!

33+4 today (can you tell I count the days as I'm always adding to my posts Grin)

Have started insulin in the evenings along with the metformin to try bring the sugar levels down overnight. I find my issue is that I'm so hungry by dinner time, that I eat and then get too full quickly and then need to eat again. Got an appt on Monday so will mention it then.

Unfortunately had a call today to say I have a UTI as well, a resistant strain so they've found an antibiotic but as with most medicines in pregnancy not recommended in pregnancy. Doc have weighed that up versus leaving it untreated and decided this is the best option.

My 3rd last week at work and I am defo getting tired now. Got a half day booked tomorrow , was considering cancelling but think I might take it to just stay on top of things. Going to use some annual leave over the next 2 weeks too just to pace myself.

Can't wait to meet this baby!

knorrig · 14/02/2017 18:56

Aah Purple, sorry you're going through a rough time, the docs will know best!
Take the half day and look after yourself!

Whatsername17 · 14/02/2017 19:03

Purple I'm so excited for you! It will fly by and your baby will be here before you know it! Xx

purpleviolet1 · 14/02/2017 19:30

Aww thank you! Feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment. Also looking to buy a house and just getting stressed for no reason!!

XxBecxX · 14/02/2017 19:43

Welcome new gals, lovely to have you here!
Hope you got some juicy bits out shopping today jpeg xxx

Where is lucky, she must have gone in by now surely?

Purple I'm struggling a bit too with my GD, I seem to be ok in the mornings but I'm doing something wrong during the day, I've only been tracking since yesterday on paper, I'll take a pic for you to have a compare for me, I've got my next app with the diabetes doc on Friday to see if it's medication or not, not looking forward to it 😩

XxBecxX · 14/02/2017 19:45

Forgot to say in my 31st week now which is good, feeling heavy and fat and have about 2 inches before I'll hit the steering wheel in the car lol
Got a growth scan on the 20th, no.2 and with the consultant this time so I'm hoping to get a better idea of how big this little creature actually is or may be lol 😂

purpleviolet1 · 14/02/2017 20:00

How interesting Bec, mine is worst 2 hours after dinner. I'm taking two metformin and 4 units of insulin. By the morning it's ok-ish but sometimes not coming down enough. As I say though I'm eating a lot in the evenings with gaps so this doesn't help...

XxBecxX · 14/02/2017 20:12

It's all a bit worrying isn't purps, I really can't hack the idea of insulin so I'm hoping they only metaform me 😬

XxBecxX · 14/02/2017 20:13

Meant to add jess, don't panic about your blood pressure, I've had preeclampsia twice and both times didn't start till 37/38 weeks, obs everyone is different but I wouldn't panic, xx

Macauley · 15/02/2017 03:57

Take care of yourself purple the last few weeks are tough going but not long for you to go now Smile x

SayItIsntSo1 · 15/02/2017 08:57

Morning! It's lovely to see some of you ladies in the final few weeks. Really hoping the next few go quickly and I can feel a bit safer to get excited. I can feel it's there bursting to get out, but I'm keeping the lid quite firmly on.

It turns out the fresh air, skiing and eating of last week did keep some of my symptoms at bay. Feeling pretty rotten this week, but at least food is staying down.

I have my booking in today with the midwife. Not looking forward to the bloods. I'm not in the slightest squeamish but they often struggle to get a vein and it's at that point I have a habit of passing out Blush. Then the joys of a late morning commute to London for a 2hr meeting. I'm already looking forward to getting in to bed and watching trashy tv this evening while DH is out exercising!

Hope you all have a good, trouble free day.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 15/02/2017 17:02

Hope your booking in went well say. I didn't have bloods at my booking in, only urine test, bloods were done at my 12wk scan. But we're in Wales so maybe just done differently.

Hope everyone else has had a good day.
I'm feeling a bit better today after googling images of 15wk bumps which made me feel less fat. Still a bit bloated and really need to get some new bras as mine are now all too small and so uncomfy!

grainmum · 15/02/2017 18:09

Just received scan appointment for 6th March. Slightly annoying as we're meant to be going to centre parcs that day but I suppose we will just have to go afterwards. Feel quite nervous now, will be the moment of truth am I really pregnant! Getting a bit panicky about lack of symptoms again...

knorrig · 15/02/2017 19:33

Doom - I can reccomend the Matalan non wired bra's. they're not maternity but more comfy than any of the maternity ones I tried!
