Happy the scan went well ginger, hope you feel better soon about it all. I think the hormones also do not help the anxiety so what you are feeling is normal. Just think 'today I am pregnant' and put it to one side in your mind and distract yourself over the weekend. Sometimes a mental break from thinking about the pregnancy constantly can help.

33 weeks today. Just waiting to be seen at the hospital as they said I need insulin. Bit worried about how I'll manage with injections and so forth.

Gingerbreadmam · 10/02/2017 12:11

thanks purple.

we are making an ikea trip monday so that will be a distraction as i live shopping and its long over due. will also assist me in decluttering so our spare room becomes available.

oliversmummy26 · 10/02/2017 12:15

ginger I'm so pleased your scan went well, that's great news. Sonographer asked me when my 12 week scan was and if I was having the screening and specifically put in her report that I was advised to have the screening, so I guess it's just something they say to everyone.

Also I should have been 9+5 yesterday according to the scan I had last week and she measured me yesterday at just 9 weeks, but did admit she thought it was more and it was a rubbish measurement. So I don't think at these scans they're too concerned about dating more just to check baby is in there and seems as well as they can be for this gestation...your dating scan they will take more time over it..

She also said they can be little buggers when they start wriggling as it's difficult to get them in the right position. Mine was on his back when she started and had flipped to a side to face me by the end, so they're all over the place!

Gingerbreadmam · 10/02/2017 12:24

thank you oliver that has given me some much needed reassurance.

my anxiety must be on high alert today haha i felt like she knew there was something wrong but didnt want to tell me and spoil it for me.

oliversmummy26 · 10/02/2017 12:39

It's completely understandable ginger, I was shaking in the waiting room yesterday and let out a huge breath I didn't realise I'd been holding when she turned the screen to show me our little bean.

Did you see any arms and legs in the end or is it a bit early?

Gingerbreadmam · 10/02/2017 12:42

saw the buds which is good, they looked the same size so hopefully thats a good sign.

i was relatively calm this morning compared to the first one. the first one i was a big red blotch.

jpeg28 · 10/02/2017 13:10

Ginger I'm so pleased the scan went well!! In terms of dating, they can only estimate and 2 days out is nothing! The sonographer does know what they are on about so try not to worry... I know that's not easy. I have been worried about every single thing so I should probably listen to my own advice!

MrsAP not long until the next scan, that's when it started feeling more real and positive for me. I hope the next 3 weeks pass quickly!

30+2 today... feel more like 39+2 I'm so huge and uncomfortable!! I've put on SO much weight and last night at nct someone who is further on than me had only put on 5kg.... I wanted to cry!!!

Gingerbreadmam · 10/02/2017 13:21

i wouldnt worry about weight jpeg will all come off. not too long to go now. will have to try taking it a bit easier.

i know i know, i'm being ridiculous really. glad it's the weekend for a.distraction. too much time to think at work.

grainmum · 10/02/2017 14:22

ginger that's wonderful news. It's hard to stay calm but try to take what they say at face value - all positive and reassuring. My waist is definitely expanding and intermittent queasiness still there so I'm feeling positive. Wish I had a scan date to work towards... Purple hope you get sorted with your diabetes management soon. I'm sure if you do need insulin you will get used to it very quickly.

oliversmummy26 · 10/02/2017 15:25

I have stopped weighing myself since my booking in, I was the heaviest I think I have ever been at at least 3 stone overweight...so I am going to embrace being pregnant and very much looking forward to baby and breastfeeding. It dropped off me last time and I'd lost about 2 stone in 3 months, I got into my first ever pair of size 10, non-stretchy jeans when DS was just over 3 months old - I was over the moon!

...just hoping the same happens again this time...Confused

Adventuregame · 10/02/2017 15:58

So............hello !
There are a few names on here that I recognise from a while ago ! Especially Ginger ! You may remember you helped me out immensely in 2015 when I had my mmc and I am thrilled to have just read you are doing well with all your scans this time !
So I had an mmc in 2015 and I am now 27 weeks pregnant with a baby boy ! It was the first bfp I got since mmc so it took a while and the whole pregnancy has been one long worry and anxiety filled experience.
He's kicking away regularly now to reassure me.
Just wanted to wish everyone well and share a positive story.

Gingerbreadmam · 10/02/2017 16:47

awwww adventure i've welled up here! soo lovely to see you on here with happy news. congrats! glad your little boy is giving you some jip letting you know everything is nice and comfy in there Grin

yep good news from me too just anxiety spoiling it. i have been having words with myself all the way home. ive wound myself up over something the sonographer didnt even mention and ive got no reason to think they would hide any problems for me soooooo i just need to relax and try to enjoy.

so pleased for you!

Gingerbreadmam · 10/02/2017 16:49

thanks grain

my waist is ridiculous considering size of baby. im putting it down to progesterone. ive actually been eating better if anything. nightmare! got some new jamas for christmas that were snug put them on last might and had to take them straight off they were so tight on my tummy.

Naschkatze · 10/02/2017 16:58

Hi all, just checking in!
38 weeks today and finished work for maternity leave! Feels very strange.

Pleased to hear about positive early scans for lots of you - it's tough in the first trimester but hang on in there.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 10/02/2017 17:32

Hello everyone, glad to see lots of positive news on here at the moment.
So glad your scans went well ginger and olivers.

gjnger I honestly look about 5mths pregnant at the moment even though I'm only 14+6. Not sure I will be able tk hide it at work much longer though it is more fat and bloat than actual bump. I wouldn't mind so much if it was proper bump!
Really wanted to not gain so much weight with this pregnancy as I went from and 8 to a 12/14 with my DD and it took me 3years to get back to my pre baby weight.

Anyway, I've been away a bit as been full of a horrible cold but not ill enough to stay off work so I've been absolutely knackered and falling asleep on sofa most evenings.

Hope everyone is doing well.

jpeg28 · 10/02/2017 18:25

Congrats Nasch on finishing!! And for making it to 38 weeks! So exciting... two weeks to go!!

Gingerbreadmam · 10/02/2017 22:50

not just me then doom?! hope your cold is feeling better soon. does it look more bumpy in maternity stuff?

maternity leave - thats great. hope you have a week or two relaxing as much as u can.

Popcorn1979 · 11/02/2017 07:58

Great to hear about all the positive scans - know the relief doesn't last long but hopefully with each scan the reassurance lasts longer?! Grain - when is yours?

Nothing to report here, spotting seems to have stopped which is great! Pretty sure I am lucky enough to get the progesterone on the prism trial as since I have started taking it my boobs are agony! Thought they were sensitive before but at stage now where a shower is uncomfy on them!! Feels like I did when breast feeding!

9+2 today and another scan booked for tomorrow evening.

Anyway, hope you all have a busy weekend planned (apart from those near their due dates who I hope have a lazy weekend planned!!)

SayItIsntSo1 · 11/02/2017 10:47

Ugh. Stuck in Geneva airport waiting to fly home. The best thing about the 2hr queue to check in was the guy who jumped the queue 45 minutes in and then got to the front and found he was in the wrong queue Grin

Feeling a bit ropey but think that's the crap nights sleep. Can't wait to be home. I love coming back as much as I do going away!

Due date today for my MMC but think having other things to concentrate on helps. Might have a few moments to myself to reflect on it this eve in the bath once dd is asleep.

7+3 today fingers crossed! My stomach is already starting to show although a week of eating my weight in cheese may be majority cause. I keep feeling a bit angry that my body could we wasting time on another MC... deep breath, and... in the words of Dory 'just keep swimming'.

Gingerbreadmam · 11/02/2017 10:51

that's good news popcorn. dont know if you have read my earlier posts about how i am administering mine? ive changed as think they were irritating my cervix. got a little pink blood two days in a row but scan yesterday was fine and old bleed seemed to have gone.

haha that serves him right say would have amused me. im sorry it's a sad day. hopefully this will continue and be your rainbow.

grainmum · 11/02/2017 11:59

popcorn waiting for the date for my 12 week scan. How long do you keep taking the progesterone for? Good luck with your scan tomorrow xx

XxBecxX · 11/02/2017 18:21

Hya ladies, that's amazing news on the scans girls xx
I had a 3D one today and I can't believe how much like the other boys he looks already lol ❤❤
Fat lips and cheeks and a little pointy chin, in love can't wait to have him now xxx

Gingerbreadmam · 11/02/2017 19:05

that is so clear!!! can tell he's going to be gorgeous.

grain i think the standard for progesterone is to 12 weeks.

HollyMay84 · 11/02/2017 19:35

Wow Bec that's so clear! You can already tell how cute he is Smile

Well, my docs are amazing 😒 they can't see me until the 27th so I'll be roughly just over 7wks by then! We've lost 2 of the 5 at 6 wks so might be a bit late by then but we'll just have to wait and see I suppose..

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend 😊

XxBecxX · 11/02/2017 19:45
