Feeling really unwell & haven't felt baby move

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 13:07

It's been well over 12 hours since I last felt movement, 8 of those were me asleep.

Feeling like absolute shite, out of breath, light headed.....pounding head.....feeling sick.

27 weeks pregnant today

Much sympathy for you - a grey cannula is massive & very painful to put in. Hope you start to feel better very soon xx

eastcoastmum2014 · 13/01/2017 18:33

Just read this, I just wanted to send my love! Glad baby is OK, thinking of you, hope you get out soon! The big cannula's are awful, I had one after I had my DD and ended up with suspected sepsis- awful bloody things Flowers

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 18:35

I can honestly say, I don't think I've ever experienced stress like this before & ive been through a lot!

Eating my second sandwich....took so much willpower not to grab a chocolate bar from the vending machine too!

Need to keep in mind this is just for today, come tomorrow I will eat normally again.

So very tired, they are giving me fluids soon as I'm obviously dehydrated.

Not sure when they'll check baby again.

You can have a chocolate bar if you want to, you probably need the energy after all the stress of the day.

I hope you can sleep tonight, although they might disturb you in the night for meds or checks. I'm really glad you went in and got seen.

MollyHuaCha · 13/01/2017 18:44

Sounds to me as though you deserve a nice choccie bar. Do you have a toothbrush?

Northernlurker · 13/01/2017 18:49

How have you got so dehydrated op? Have you been sick? I hope you haven't been left all day without a drink. Angry
Lucky they got the cannula in actually, they can be hard to get if you're dehydrated.

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 18:51

Me too, I knew it was likely I had an infection as my skin was boiling hot but I was absolutely freezing...I actually cried when I parked my car & had to get out & walk!

I think I've had around 40-50 syns today Shock definitely no chocolate bar, need to keep some willpower!

No toothbrush or anything, hopefully SIL can bring some stuff up tomorrow for me. I messaged my mother kind of hinting but she hasn't replied, however she too likes a bottle of wine on a Friday.....shit out of luck, not then end of the world if my breath stinks, although I'm sure the HCPs won't appreciate it lol.

Actually!! I've just remembered I've got breath spray &! Toothpaste in my bag.....just have to swill my mouth out.

Waiting for fluids, absolutely shattered however for some odd reason & I can't give an excuse as to why but I feel rude falling asleep in hospitals, even at night time. It's so bloody weird! I feel like I'm in someone else's house!

You definitely deserve a chocolate bar! Hope you're feeling much better soon, such a relief to read that the baby is okay.

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 18:54

Honestly don't know how, I have been going to the toilet a lot & (TMI WARNING) had a slight bit of the runs but didn't think anything of it as was drinking all last night & this morning....if anything I've drank more yesterday & today than any other, very odd!

Baby still hasn't kicked, I know they've heard his heartbeat but should I be worried?? He almost always kicks after food yet nothing is getting him moving....waiting for midwife to come back so I can ask

Another 13 weeks of potential worry Sad & even after he arrives il still bloody worry about him!

Oh god! I've got a whole lifetime of worrying about him & even when he's all grown up, il have to worry about the grandkids!

Oh I bloody hope he's a happy & healthy baby & he's safe in there.

I hope you get some rest! It's awful no ones bringing you some overnight stuff, can your mum or sil get a taxi?

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 19:05

My mother pay for a taxi???!!! Don't be absurd! (That's being sarcastic about them btw lol)

Well! We may have found a saviour, my father has just text to ask if i need anything, let's hope he hasn't been drinking too! (This is why I don't bloody drink!, besides the fact I'm pregnant too)

If it's a big hosp, is there a shop where someone could pop to buy you a few bits and pieces like a toothbrush, shower gel and some underwear? Maybe someone else's visitor if the staff are too busy? Shop should be open till 8 or 9pm?

MrsAHotch · 13/01/2017 19:11

I was in hospital recently and they gave me a few toiletries to use whilst there, as well as a lovely NHS gown to wear to sleep. Just ask a nurse Smile

AddictedtoGreys · 13/01/2017 19:13

So so glad everything is ok with your baby Op!! And sod the suns you have had a stressful day, you are growing a human, have the chocolate bar Wink maybe your baby is just in a position that you can't feel them moving much

Soubriquet · 13/01/2017 19:27

Some hospitals do provide basic toiletries.

Ask a nurse when she comes.

Namechangedforthisasimashamed · 13/01/2017 19:37

Really hope everything is ok, I had reduced movements with mine and it's scary stuff Sad

Hawkmoth · 13/01/2017 19:39

What a horrible day you've had OP.

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 19:45

Just had obs done, everything is fine & temp has come back down although I still feeling this room is a freezer!

Bless the midwife said I don't visually look unwell but she doesn't not believe me lol.

I pointed out I was trying to lose weight so I don't have to have the large cuff again, the look of horror on her face when she thought she'd offended me! Such a lovely woman.

Dad is on his way with a few essentials! Just listened to baby's heartbeat again & she's happy it's me that's unwell & not him.

Oh I bloody hate Friday 13th!! Everything goes bad for me.

GizmoFrisby · 13/01/2017 19:50

I had huge pg anxiety, not helped by the fact my little boy had quiet phases, and placenta position meant I didn't feel loads of movement, but I genuinely felt loads better when he was out and I could see him.
Just take it a day at a time x
