Feeling really unwell & haven't felt baby move

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 13:07

It's been well over 12 hours since I last felt movement, 8 of those were me asleep.

Feeling like absolute shite, out of breath, light headed.....pounding head.....feeling sick.

27 weeks pregnant today

I asked about the anterior placers because if my baby wasn't laying with his feet to the side, I never felt him. He was born at 34 weeks and I never felt kicks, just some movement sometimes. It meant I was monitored a lot! It was very stressful

Soubriquet · 14/01/2017 12:40

Least you've got a diagnoses and can be treated a bit more specifically

Get well soon OP

People are here if you need them for loneliness

Haggisfish · 14/01/2017 13:41

Ah poor you op. Can you chat to the other patients? I was in hospital recently and the other patients were really nice actually. Hope you feel better soon.

NameChange30 · 14/01/2017 13:49

Did your dad pop in? If not maybe you could ask if he could come a visit you today, that would cheer you up Smile And what about your SIL, is she around today?

Quarksoundslikequack · 14/01/2017 15:32

Had SIL pop in and bring some stuff, had to rush as they were taking my car back to theirs to stop being charged for parking....just had a lovely chat about dickhead ex bf & she has warned me to stay away!

Just had a shower, TMI but absolutely stank! My body was obviously trying to sweat out the infection last night.

Have people messaging now....no one can come up tonight....they are all busy &! Some make me feel like they'd be really put out if I asked.

I previously thought after my break up, going into hospital would be a good idea....would help me....oh how I was bloody wrong!!

I've got to stay in for 2 days after baby is born & am now put off by the idea.

If me & the ex were still together, he'd be here all day with me.....shame he decided to shack with with someone else!

Staying in for two days after the birth will be completely different though, as you'll have new baby to keep you busy and entertained!

Summer23 · 14/01/2017 16:57

Yes, this will all be worth it. Pregnancy is tough at times.

thecatsarecrazy · 14/01/2017 17:15

Bless you op I've been thinking about you. Glad baby is ok. Hope your feeling a bit better.

Quarksoundslikequack · 14/01/2017 17:49

Had another antibiotic through IV but had a reaction so they've stopped it....asked if it was possible to have my arm removed as it's horrendously painful & feels like someone has hit it with a sledgehammer!

Bless the midwife, bet she can't wait to finish her shift tonight....every time she's come in, I've ended up talking for ages!

Perked up more today, chest is starting to hurt now....officially fell off the slimming world wagon...I ate chocolate! Don't judge me Wink

Looks like I'm going home tomorrow as haven't had a high temp all day! Can't bloody wait!

OP posts:
NameChange30 · 14/01/2017 19:48

I would judge you for NOT eating chocolate in the circumstances!

Hope you continue to feel better and can go home tomorrow x

BlueberryGateaux · 14/01/2017 20:03

I really hope you feel better soon Quark and that babyquark continues to make kicking progress. As for your dick head ex, least said the better.

Quarksoundslikequack · 14/01/2017 20:41

Thank you so much for the messages & the company, it's only been over 24 hours yet I feel I've been in here Weeks!

Bless the midwife, she absolutely despises my ex, told me she'd slap me if I got back together with him lol! Told her not to worry, I have no intention at all! & given the fact we haven't spoken in 2 months & he's got a new gf....all important factors.

Feeling rough again, not sure if temp has gone up or not, have a headache & feeling really hot on skin but cold in myself....baby hasn't kicked much this evening, hopefully they'll do obs once they've done handover.

PetalMettle · 14/01/2017 22:06

Hope you're managing to get some rest

Quarksoundslikequack · 14/01/2017 22:20

So a quick little update, baby quark went quiet again.....so checked with Doppler however he's clearly sleeping....he's been kicking a couple of times since.

Asked the midwife exactly what is wrong with me &! I have pneumonia Hmm didn't expect that....I don't ever get ill. If all is well, il be out tomorrow morning, however temp has risen slightly

OP posts:
witwootoodleoo · 14/01/2017 22:51

Sounds like you're in the best place for the moment. I know it's boring and you're fed up but at least you can get baby checked regularly to put your mind at rest and they're keeping an eye on you. Hope you can get some sleep.

Haggisfish · 15/01/2017 00:43

What a good job you went in. Pneumonia is weird-can creep up on you. Hope you get some rest.

Quarksoundslikequack · 15/01/2017 02:46

Midwife just checked in with baby, however she's gone to get a 2nd opinion as feels his heart rate is slower than earlier Sad thought it was because he was asleep but said it should be the same.

Wants to monitor me on CTG but said because I'm not 28 Weeks, it's too early :(

He's kicking away....being active.

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 15/01/2017 02:55

Hope all is okay with tinyQuark and you can get some sleep tonight.

Quarksoundslikequack · 15/01/2017 03:34

They are concerned that baby quark is unwell....his heart rate is slower than usual, they think he might have an infection too.

OP posts:
MostIneptThatEverStepped · 15/01/2017 03:36

I'm sorry to hear that. It's good that they have been keeping a close eye on things and hopefully it is something that can be sorted out quickly. Wishing you a restful night if that's possible.

Quarksoundslikequack · 15/01/2017 03:55

His movements have increased which they are happy with, he's not stopped moving since putting the monitor on which is a good sign.

Waiting for doctor to come and have a check & decide what they'd like to do next.
