Yep that's totally understandable. Hopefully you can get your mojo back tomorrow xx

mistletoeprickles · 17/01/2017 15:15

This is kind of strange but I've just had this really strange realisation that there's a good chance I'm going to have a baby!

There's been no planning or looking forward really but MIL mentioned earlier that she'd like to try and plan a holiday for July time with us and it hit me that I won't want to go on holiday in July.
It just hit me that this pregnacy could work.
I feel silly but I've not allowed myself to look forward and today I did Blush

Lolly2803 · 17/01/2017 15:38

Good on you Mistletoe!!!!! You enjoy every second of it - you deserve it. How far along are you? I've forgotten your dates xxxx

10+1 so due august 14th ish.
It just kind of hit me. It was strange.

What time is your scan lolly?

Lolly2803 · 17/01/2017 16:09

Aww it's exciting Mistletoe!! Enjoy it!!
My scan is tomorrow at 6.20pm. Counting down the hours! I'm 12+3.

OP posts:
Mrscrabtree · 17/01/2017 17:16

Mistletoe I know how you feel but it is really exciting! Hope you've enjoyed thinking about it and it feeling real!

Lolly I am wishing these hours away for you and hope your cold isn't too horrific.

Im bringing up the rear I think at 8+6 today... the mw appointment was fine, although she told me I looked terrified! It's hard to think about birth centres when you don't really believe it will happen. She understood about the ivf but was saying I'm classed as low risk and have done the hard part of getting pregnant so I am trying to ride on her optimism for now. Only another 8 days until the next scan... So long away!!

mistletoeprickles · 17/01/2017 20:39

I'm hoping no news is good news lolly Flowers

Lolly2803 · 17/01/2017 21:07

Who knows. I'm in a bit of a state tonight. Feeling sick a bit and so scared for tomorrow and worried it's all about to go wrong. Had a few twinges as well which has got me even more worried and I'm just upset. Argh this is so hard.

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 17/01/2017 21:39

I got my wires crossed and thought it was tonight Flowers

Mrscrabtree · 17/01/2017 21:52

Thinking of you Lolly, less than 24 hours now CakeBrew

Bear2014 · 18/01/2017 09:50

Hi everyone. Mistletoe, that's great! Really glad you're able to start feeling excited. You should do! I'm 10+3 today so practically due date buddies.

Mrscrab good that you got the booking appointment out the way. It's a long one isn't it!

Lolly, thinking of you for this evening.

AFM I'm having a bit of a mare this week. My OH is in Berlin and my Mum came down yesterday to look after DD to give me some rest. They were at playgroup and I was faffing around the house in a daze and somehow managed to slip down the last 3 stairs and land hard on my arse on the wood floor at the bottom. It really hurt and today I feel really bruised and stiff all across my lower back. I haven't had any bleeding or abdominal pain but I was so worried last night I barely slept. I can't live like that for the next two weeks so I've booked in for a private scan tomorrow, the earliest I could get. I could go to my EPU but I can't really swing the childcare as I would need to get there before 8am to stand a chance of getting scanned before lunch. OH is still in Germany. Bloody typical!! I know logically it is probably fine but I need to know for sure. Gaaah! xx

Lolly2803 · 18/01/2017 09:54

Thanks ladies. Haven't slept well and still feeling rotten but counting the hours now.

BEAR! You poor thing that sounds awful. I'm sure everything it absolutely fine but for peace of mind definitely get yourself checked out. And on the positive you'll get to see baby again so never a bad thing. Hope you're not too sore and can rest and relax a bit today xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 18/01/2017 10:05

Thanks Lolly. The internet seems to think it will be fine and there are a million stories of people doing the same thing. Why do we have to have all these little dramas?!

Lolly2803 · 18/01/2017 10:07

I'm sure it will be absolutely fine! But I'd be exactly the same and want to get checked

I know tell me about it. I think once you've been through IVF or loss or anything like that you should have a free pass for a stress free pregnancy!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 18/01/2017 10:10

Amen to that. Or at least have nothing happen when your OH is in a different country!! Boo.

Blueroses99 · 18/01/2017 10:44

Bear! That's almost exactly what I did just after Christmas! Baby has lots of protection at this stage but like you I wanted to be sure and got referred to EPU via A&E (they wouldn't let me book directly with EPU). Definitely couldn't have handled worrying for another 2 weeks so I know that feeling! Scan was reassuring. Take care and let your back heal, it'll take time I'm afraid xx

Bear2014 · 18/01/2017 10:51

Blue yes I remember - it's really scary isn't it. Glad to be getting scanned tomorrow, although I can't deal with the EPU at Kings, it's a hell hole ;o) Every twinge I'm freaking out!

Lolly2803 · 18/01/2017 10:58

Bear I am with you on the freaking out at every twinge. I honestly think I should be sedated for the next week!!

I am sure you are all fine though. As Blue says they are well protected in there. xxx

RafflesMaidenSister · 18/01/2017 11:21

Just had scan at 8+2 (so I'm behind you mrscrab), embryo is back on track but gestational sac still small. Dr seemed much less concerned - said sac is right shape and embryo looks good with good heartbeat. Trying to calm down a bit now. Good luck to everyone with scans coming up. Xxx

Lolly2803 · 18/01/2017 11:28

Good news Raffles! If Dr didn't seem concerned then I wouldn't be. Sounds like all is super positive!! xxx

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 18/01/2017 12:44

Raffles that all sounds very positive.

The midwife has just been to visit, all paperwork is now compete and my bloods were fine.
She's now sorting the consultant referral which will be with my fertility consultant (he does both apparently) I'm pleased about this as he is a fantastic doctor and so easy to talk to. He's very straight to the point and I like that.

And...

We gave a date for the scan...a week Monday. Smile

Hope everyone else is ok

Bear2014 · 18/01/2017 12:46

Great news Raffles all sounds really good.

Mistletoe brilliant that you have a scan date. Day before me. So you'll be exactly 12 weeks? Result!

mistletoeprickles · 18/01/2017 15:10

I should be exactly 12 weeks yes although epau did warn that I might be a few days out as it's very difficult to measure when the baby was so small at 7 weeks.

Thinking of you today lolly Cake

eastegg · 18/01/2017 16:16

Hi everyone I'm new to the thread, not from the fertility boards but from the miscarriage boards sadly. Have 2 DS, lost DS3 at 16 weeks 18 months ago.
I'm 42 and in the last chance saloon, feel so unbelievably lucky to be here but it won't happen again!

I'm now 12+4 (Lolly we are exactly the same I think!). Scan on Friday morning and needless to say I'm extremely anxious. Had no early scans, I didn't see much point as I would worry anyway and didn't want terrible news the week before Christmas which it would have been if I'd tried to arrange one. So it's just a case of crossing fingers.

Good luck Lolly and everyone else waiting for scans.

ellesbellesxxx · 18/01/2017 18:19

Been reading thread but only managing to type a reply now.. Lolly hope today went ok xxx

Mistletoe glad you have your scan date!

Raffles hoping things are back on track for you.. I think they would be blunt if they were worried?

Eastegg keeping fingers x for you

Afm am 18 weeks now so just counting down to consultant and next scan xx
