It's on Harley St also. Right up by the park xx

Lolly2803 · 14/01/2017 19:35

How are you ladies today?
I got some rest last night and had a relaxed day today. Haven't had any more bleeding apart from a speck of brown. She did say there was a tiny bit to come down but haven't seen it yet. I have had some pains today, a few cramps. Still so so scared and worried.
Having bloods on Monday to wheen off the drugs and have a scan booked for Wednesday. Just so worried xxx

Hi lolly I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Keep the faith and you'll be seeing the little heartbeats again in a couple of days xx

I had my booking in appointment today, the midwife was lovely and totally on my wavelength, so we whipped through it all thankfully. It felt weird talking about the mc in loads of detail.

Feels like forever til the scan! 16 days ffs! Xx

Lolly2803 · 14/01/2017 22:15

Aw well done Bear. I know you weren't looking forward to it. Sounds like it all went well though. I know 16 days feels like a lifetime at this stage doesn't it!!

I'm ok - worried but felt reassured seeing them yesterday morning. Just desperately praying that this will all be ok. Can't wait for a proper check over on Weds xxx

Hi ladies, how are you all doing on this wet and miserable Monday? I'm on route to the clinic for blood tests. Wish it was to see the babies though. 2 more sleeps!
Got a horrible cough and cold so feeling pretty crap and quiet down in general. Just so worried and scared.

Hope you all are doing ok xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 16/01/2017 09:57

Morning, it is certainly miserable - still drying out here!

Sorry you're so worried and scared - it's so hard isn't it. Two more sleeps indeed, than you will hopefully be re-assured.

I'm still pretty anxious, 2 whole weeks til my scan, but just trying to roll with it. I'm 10+1 today, which officially makes this pregnancy one day longer than the last xx

Blueroses99 · 16/01/2017 10:52

Morning!

Lolly hope you feel better soon, a cold is not much fine anyway but harder when you can't take lots of the meds while pg.

Bear glad to hear the booking was ok. Time seems to slow between scans doesn't it! It's good that you passed the milestone on the mc, I think it makes it easier on the other side. (Well that's what I'm hoping.)

I'm trying to destress but it's really hard - my anxiety shot up as soon as I spoke to the MW about not getting the stitch last month and even though now I know I will get one, it's taking ages to subside. (Wondering whether to complain/mention to the consultant that the only reason that I was anxious in the first place was because of the MW.) I'm seeing the other consultant this afternoon and will hopefully book in the stitch by the end of the month.

It was the six month anniversary of losing our son on Saturday and we finally felt ready to scatter his ashes Sad So many emotions going on, it's a bit of a struggle! Going to my first Pregnancy After Loss support group tonight.

Lolly2803 · 16/01/2017 11:19

Yer it's rubbish. I'm just driving myself crazy with worry. Haven't felt sick really today but I did yesterday and last night so just constantly analysing things! Argh bring on Weds. Had my bloods done and they also wanted to check for the pregnancy hormone. Let's see what that says.
Bear you are doing fab so just try stay positive. All sounds great so far but I know time feels like it's on a go slow at the moment. I feel your pain there!

Blue you've got so much going on at the moment it's no wonder your anxious. Must have been a really hard weekend but that's greedy you felt you were able to do it. Sending love. I would say regarding the MW mention it. You need to try and stay as relaxed as possible and enjoy this pregnancy. If not having her around will help then go for it!!! xxxx

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 16/01/2017 11:42

Sorry that should have said great not greedy!! Bloody auto type. Xx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 16/01/2017 12:09

Blue That sounds really tough, hope you are both ok. You should definitely mention the MW. It never ceases to amaze me how many of these people have no empathy, sensitivity or general bedside manner, yet chose to spend years of their lives training as a midwife Confused

It's definitely nice to be past that 10 week point. I hope I'll be able to relax a lot more after the big scan.

Lolly - Bring on Wednesday! There's no other way you'll feel less anxious other than seeing them on that screen, and that's totally understandable xx

Mrscrabtree · 16/01/2017 14:21

Hello everyone, what a miserable Monday!

Lolly, glad the blood tests are out of the way for you and now you're only hours away from your next scan. It's a scary time but I've got my fingers crossed for good news for you.

Bear, that's brilliant you're past that 10 week milestone. I'm sure it's brought up a lot of different feelings for you. Hope you're ok.

Blueroses, thinking of you on this anniversary. No wonder you're feeling up and down, and yes why not give some feedback about the midwife. It might help you feel more comfortable that that experience is over and you will get your stitch now. Good luck with your group tonight.

I've got my booking in appt tomorrow. I keep wanting to get excited about this pregnancy but then remembering we are far from out of the woods. I don't want to wish time away but I really can't wait to get to 12 weeks. Only another 3 weeks 2 days to go... although I'm sure I'll still worry after that! xxx

Bear2014 · 16/01/2017 15:56

Hi mrscrab good luck with the booking appointment! It is so bloody hard to get excited, but it's one step closer to the prize.

I didn't eat my All Bran, or anything much very healthy this weekend, and oh boy am I paying for it today. I was sitting in the loo for about half an hour, my colleagues probably thought I had fallen in Blush and all my muscles and tendons are aching now - doing my anxiety no favours! Won't make that mistake again...

Lolly2803 · 16/01/2017 18:45

Aw Bear!! Hope you're feeling a bit more comfortable now!
Hope you're booking in goes well tomorrow Mrs Crab. Am sure everything will be fine and I'm wishing time away for you! I am the same. I started to get excited just about and then this all happened so haven't been able to think or look at anything pregnancy related just incase.
Clinic called and my bloods are all good. They are really happy with all my levels including hcg which is through the roof apparently. Not that that really tells me what's going on in there! Waiting for the wheening protocol to come through so I can start that.
Then just counting down the hours until 6pm Weds!!!

Bear2014 · 16/01/2017 21:30

That's so great Lolly! All brilliant signs.

I'm a bit sorry for myself since poo-gate, (TMI), there has been bleeding Sad i've even taken my evening Cyclogest vaginally which is a first. I remember really hitting the wall with it at 10-11 weeks with DD and was overjoyed to stop them. Not long now.

Lolly2803 · 17/01/2017 06:18

How much bleeding Bear? Bleeding from the back or front? I'm sure if it's back it is just irritated. Have a break from using that for cyclogest and try and have a healthier few days. That's probably all it is. Hope you're ok xxxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 17/01/2017 08:23

Oh yeah just the back so no big deal. It's just sore and i need to be careful as i suffered with it when heavily pregnant too so I don't want to make it bad from the off. Bran flakes and a pint of juice and water for breakfast!!

Hope you're ok - one more sleep! Xx

mistletoeprickles · 17/01/2017 08:30

Hi all

Haven't been able to get on for a few days, I had a big deadline then we managed to get away for a long weekend Smile

Lolly and mrscrabb you sound like your both doing well Flowers Lolly we'll be waiting for an update after your scan. I'm sure everything will be fine.

bear I give my butt a break for 24 hours once a week, really seems to help with the soreness.

I've only got two more weeks (then weaning off) of cyclocest to go, I can not wait.

Anyone else starting to feel better? I'm still very tired but the sick is definately lessening but i have now got in the habit of eating little and often. Just not feeling sick is making me feel good

Lolly2803 · 17/01/2017 08:37

Oh that's good, well def give it a rest for sure. Sounds very uncomfortable!!
I had my last clexane last night - wahoo! It's going to be so weird not injecting twice a day after doing so for the past 2 months! Also the progesterone injections are now every other day for a week so the wheening is starting!! Can't wait! And yes one more sleep till the scan. I'm literally counting down the hours. Also starting to get nervous about the NIPT results. They said 7-10 days and it's been 6 working days today is the 7th working day so it's got to be soon surely!!

Mistletoe will you be completely getting rid of cyclogest? I've got to keep up 2 a day till 37 weeks. Much better than the 4 I'm currently on though so I'll take that!
The nausea is actually feeling better past two days which is actually scaring me. Although I've got an awful cough and cold so that could be masking it.
I'm just a walking worry at the moment to be honest though so feel free to send me a virtual slap!!

OP posts:
Blueroses99 · 17/01/2017 09:08

Bear sounds like exactly what I had last week! At the moment I am alternating, back in the morning, front at night.

Lolly I'm also on Cyclogest for the long haul. My consultant(s) don't prescribe it but as it helps prevent pre-term birth, they don't discourage it if someone is already taking it.

The success rate of the stitch is around 80% but success is defined as reaching 34wks! So I'll do anything that helps. Also consultant wants to sign me off for 6 weeks after the stitch, I don't need bedrest but need to stay off my feet. As I'm unlikely to want to go back to work at 20wks (given loss at 21wks previously), that might be it for me work wise. A mixture of holiday and sick leave until maternity leave starts at 29wks. Work know I'm pregnant - and they've known from the start that there's a possibility that I'll finish work in Feb. So hopefully it will all work out. We're also moving house soon and my nesting instincts are kicking in big time!

Misteltoe my nausea is fading too. My tiredness hasn't been quite so bad this time though.

MrsCrab good luck with the booking today, I'm sure it'll be fine and hopefully it'll make it start feeling real.

Bear2014 · 17/01/2017 09:29

Blue yes I think that might be what I do for the next 2 weeks. I'm lucky I can come off it sooner.

34 weeks seems like a good point to aim for. 37 is classed as full term so 34 is really not bad in the scheme of things. 3 of my DD's friends were born at 28 and are fine with no ongoing health problems. You will have lots of opportunity to nest by the sounds of things! With DD I finished work at 37.5 weeks and went into hospital 2 days later so I was not exactly well rested or prepared ;o)

Hi Mistletoe! I haven't had any nausea but all my other symptoms, tiredness etc have faded. It's hard to tell as DD has suddenly started sleeping better which would make me less tired. I hate this stage though where you can't really tell if you feel pregnant or not. It makes the suspense quite bad for the scan.

Good luck today MrsCrab xx

mistletoeprickles · 17/01/2017 09:47

lolly Yes I'll be weaned off the cyclocest after 12 weeks. With my history of m/c I was prescribed it to help support the pregnancy until the placenta takes over.

The fading symtoms are normal especially from about the 8 weeks mark onwards, the midwife said this is due to hormones settling. I have other symtoms though like TMI huge dark nipples and flaky skin.
With my DD I was sick until gone 20 weeks so I'm glad it hasn't lasted like that this time.

I'm still waiting on my 12 weeks scan appointment. The midwife is going to chase it tomorrow for me. I'm ready to have a countdown to an appointment now

Bear2014 · 17/01/2017 10:10

Mistletoe - that's good that you have tell tale signs at least. My body is really sneaky, until I get a bump and feel kicks it's hard to believe it's happening, my boobs look and feel the same, even throughout 2 years of breastfeeding they looked no different whatsoever.

Hope you get your appointment soon!

Lolly2803 · 17/01/2017 10:17

Blue they said the same to be about cyclogest. They said I'll take 2 as i have two babies and it will help prevent preterm labour. I'm lucky I've not suffered with side effects from that so I don't mind too much.
That's good you'll finish work early, plenty of time to rest and nest. Hopefully will help your stress levels too and you can take things slowly.

Talking about boobs mine have taken on a new lease of life. I am usually very small it that area but they have really grown!! They are huge and soooo veiny! I can't fit into any of my bras so I've had to order a couple of new comfy ones! My tummy has started to pop out a bit as well. I usually have a really flat tummy but it's definitely sticking out a bit and has some roundness to it. My trousers are all too tight as well. I have said to myself if we get to the NHS scan and all is well I'll order some clothes. Until then i am making do!

Bear2014 · 17/01/2017 10:20

Yay it must feel so real Lolly! xx

Lolly2803 · 17/01/2017 10:28

It does but the bleed really knocked me off my perch. I can't allow myself to look or think about anything until after tomorrow.
My DH keeps saying I could be a page 3 model with my new boobs! Haha! Nausea is subtle but in the background, masked by my stinking cough and cold I think.
I've also still got this bloody nose which is so weird as a symptom! But is one apparently. I'm on the sofa covered in Vics. Off work until I feel better. If all is well tomorrow I will go back on Thursday. I'm too scared to go anywhere incase anything happens. xxx
