Welcome eastegg. Thinking of you waiting for your scan, understandable you're nervous. I'm sure it will be fine but it's easy for me to say that!

Raffles that sounds like reassuring news, yay!

Mistletoe glad the appointment went well and you have a scan date.

Bear oh no, how awful and scary. I'm glad you're getting a scan and I'm sure it will be reassuring. Rest up.

Lolly I hope your scan is going well. Let us know.

Someone asked me if I was pregnant at work today! Obviously I said no. Then they just looked embarrassed - as they should! I can't be showing yet... Maybe it's all the snacks? Blush

Can't believe I have another whole week to wait until my next scan Confused

Mrscrabtree · 18/01/2017 18:54

Ps sorry elles missed you off. Hope you're ok and managing the waiting!

Blueroses99 · 18/01/2017 19:05

Good luck with the scan tomorrow Bear. (I had my NHS ET at Kings as my local hospital uses the embryologists there.)

Hope the scan is going well Lolly.

Raffles that's good news. Measurements are millimetres at the point so try not to worry about the size.

Misteltoe glad you're on track.

Welcome Eastegg, I'm sorry for your loss but wish you the best for this pregnancy. Is there a known cause of your mc? My cervical issues and mc history mean I need to manage this pg completely differently.

Elles glad you are doing well.

AFM I have the dates for my procedure - 3rd Feb. Same day we are supposed to move house 😳

ellesbellesxxx · 18/01/2017 19:33

Oh blue roses so sorry missed you... oh that's a bit of a manic day Flowers hoping it all goes well xx

Lolly2803 · 18/01/2017 20:56

Hey ladies,
Thanks for all your well wishes. Scan went really well. Both babies measuring bang on and looking great. Strong heartbeats and moving around loads. The placentas look healthy and the cervix long and closed. They couldn't see any sign of where the bleeding had come from or where it had been. So all is well! We also got the results from the NIPT which said "no aneuploidy detected" for all 3 trisomies so really happy!!

Hi Eastegg, welcome to the thread. So sorry to read of your loss. And congrats on getting to the 12w mark! I'm sure everything is absolutely fine but I'd be super nervous too. I've been super anxious before every scan so can only imagine how you must feel. Only two more sleeps to go!

Mistletoe glad the appointment went well today. Glad you've got a Dr you're happy with and you've got a scan date! Busy week for the thread next week!

Welcome back elles!
Glad everything is going well with you. When is your next scan?

MrsCrab I feel you on the snacks! I'm sure some people at work must have picked up on my baggy shirt wearing. Although nobody has said anything yet, I always find it weird when people do that. When is your scan?

Blue hello! Glad you've got a date for your stitch! But not ideal date! Can DH handle the move while you have the procedure done? All going at once for you!

And hey Bear!! Xxxx

I'll catch up properly tomorrow but just wanted to say I'm so pleased for you lolly Smile

eastegg · 18/01/2017 22:58

Thanks for the good wishes guys.

Lolly that's fantastic scan news! You must be on cloud 9.

Blue sorry to hear of your history. My baby had a chromosomal abnormality, a 'ring' chromosome. Found out via CVS, but only on the full result which you have to wait 2 weeks for, 2 days after CVS we were told no Downs Edwards or Patau's in other words given the all clear as far as we knew, so it was particularly excruciating the way it happened IYSWIM. After full result baby was found to have died a couple of days later at a routine scan.

If I can get a result on Friday which means I don't have to think about CVS or amino I'll be the happiest woman alive.

My iPad 's gone really slow and annoying so I'll have to go but will be back.

Good luck everyone!

Bear2014 · 19/01/2017 08:54

Hi eastegg welcome and congratulations! So sorry to hear anout your loss Flowers that just sounds absolutely heartbreaking. I've never even heard of a ring chromosome, is it very rare?

Lolly I am so happy for you guys! This has got to be a proper watershed moment for you, are you going to start telling people? Smile

Thanks blue. We're just going back to the Fetal Medicine Centre later so we can get it done quick and easy.

I'm predictably freaking out about the scan later and in a panic about it being bad news. But if it's good news, at 10+4 I think it will relax me massively. So it's good to brave it out and go for it.

Have a great day everyone. And lolly treat yourself to something gorgeous with an eleasticated waist Wink xx

Bear2014 · 19/01/2017 08:56

Oh and hi ellesbelles glad it's all going well xx

RafflesMaidenSister · 19/01/2017 09:16

Sorry to hear about your loss east egg - fingers crossed for this time. Fantastic news Lolly, hope you can relax a little bit now.

Wishing luck to everyone with scans coming up. xxx

Lolly2803 · 19/01/2017 09:46

Thanks ladies! Typical when I got home last night I had some brown blood!! I remember when I was in A&E though the Dr said there was more to drop down but all I'd had was a speck of brown. I'm assuming the internal scan from the Dr yesterday dislodged it and now it's dripped down. Wasn't much and didn't last long so am hoping!!! I do feel so much better. Almost cried with relief! We aren't telling anyone until our NHS scan on Tuesday. That's what we'd always said so feel like we need to stick to it. Big milestone and all that. Having said that I will be buying some jeans and bras on Sunday as I can't do my trousers up and my boobs are hanging out of my only bra that fits!!

What time is your scan Bear? I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine! Keeping everything crossed for you.

Bear2014 · 19/01/2017 09:48

Totally understandable. A load of people already know I'm pregnant as we got really lax talking about IVF but I won't be telling anyone else at work until there's no hiding it.

It's at 3pm - can't come soon enough! Really busy until then though, so hopefully it goes quick. Right, off the interwebs! xx

eastegg · 19/01/2017 11:56

Best of luck bear. Gosh this is so nerve wracking. Btw I'm at kings too. A day sooner and I'd be looking round the waiting room thinking 'bear?'!

Bear2014 · 19/01/2017 11:59

eastegg small world! Not having my scan at Kings today though, last time I got scanned there at the EPU I was in the building for nearly 6 hours and who can be faffed with that?!

Lolly2803 · 19/01/2017 12:07

Good Luck Bear! Let us know how you get on. Am sure baby is totally fine and happy though! xxx

Hello all, one perfect wriggly baby still on board! So relieved. All spot on for 10+4, might actually get a restful night's sleep tonight now!

Hope everyone else is having a good day xx

Lolly2803 · 19/01/2017 16:03

Wahoo!!! Well Done Bear! Knew it would all be fine. Yes sleep well tonight and are you feeling more relaxed in general now? xxx

lolly it does sound like that was your left over bit.hope you've had a restful day.

Hi egg good luck on your scan tomorrow. I'm sorry for your loss Flowers I've had 3 early losses and they were hard enough so can't even begin to consider how you felt/feel.

No change here, a bit of nausea back today but I haven't eaten as well so that maybe why. Just plenty of rest

Lolly2803 · 19/01/2017 17:48

I think it was Mistletoe. Haven't had any more since. Starting to get excited which feels scary and weird!!

Lots of positive news on this thread and long may it continue!

Mrscrabtree · 19/01/2017 18:53

Great news Bear!

Lolly2803 · 19/01/2017 18:58

What time is your scan tomorrow Eastegg? Keeping everything crossed for you. What is the process etc? Hope you're ok xxx

OP posts:
eastegg · 19/01/2017 21:19

Jung.Hi Lolly it's at 9.45 at Kings College Hosp. As it's a major teaching and research centre it's a very full on screening process for Downs etc as well as dating. It normally takes 2 hours and that's without any complications . As I understand it I'll be offered the Harmony test if my risk of any of the trisomies is between 1:100 and 1:1000 and Harmony or CVS if it's higher than 1:100. This is all hugely on my mind as I was given 1:20 last time due to a worrying blood result (everything physically ok on the scan) and that was the start of everything awful.
Consultant told me afterwards last time that it was a one off, could have happened to anybody, she was great actually, but of course that all goes out of the window now. So nervous!

Hope everything still OK with you.

eastegg · 19/01/2017 21:20

I've no idea where Jung came from!
