Lolly Flowers hope your ok and so are those babies Flowers

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 08:31

Hi ladies, thanks for all your messages. Wow what a night. I eventually got seen and scanned. They only had a tummy scanner but they saw both babies with strong heartbeats and moving around being very active! She then checked my cervix with the speculum and said it was closed and looked fine. She said there's a bit more blood to come down but I wasn't actively bleeding. I'm at home now and DH has flown back this morning. Not out of the woods but so far they can't see a thing causing it. I'm going to pay for a scan next week so the clinic can do a thorough check. I'm still so scared though. Thanks for all the support - it means so much. xxxx

Oh my goodness so so relieved Lolly xxxxxxxxxxxxx

RafflesMaidenSister · 13/01/2017 08:51

That's brilliant news! Fingers crossed the bleeding stops and you are feeling better soon. Good on your husband for coming home. xxx

Blueroses99 · 13/01/2017 08:58

Really pleased to hear your update Lolly! Have a restful weekend. (My bleeding was also unexplained, no obvious cause, cervix closed, only happened the once)

mistletoeprickles · 13/01/2017 08:59

That's good new lolly Flowers lots of rest and get your DP to look after you xxxx

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 09:29

Well so far it's ok but who knows what will happen. Just got to wait and see. I'm booking in for a private scan on Monday while I'm there for my bloods so let's see. But so far it's ok. Still having a few cramps xx

Oh phew!! So glad. Thanks for update - try to rest up!! Xx

Mrscrabtree · 13/01/2017 13:19

Thank goodness you're all ok so far Lolly. It's weird, pretty much exactly what happened to me on Wednesday. I have a private scan this afternoon. Am still having some cramps/pain and spotting but nothing like the other day. My fingers are crossed for you xxx

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 13:46

Well they were ok this morning that's for sure. I was a worried, terrified wreck!! Waiting for my clinic to call me about scan Monday. They said sometimes people just have a bleed and if they can't see why they'll never know!
Just resting this weekend for sure. Had a nap so got a few hours back. Just got to hope they stay ok xxx

It does seem to be fairly common to have an unexplained bleed with twins. In fact, the more dramatic bleeds tend to be the least sinister diagnoses from what I've heard. When I miscarried, the bleeding was barely even noticeable for the first few days.

Anyway, keeping my fingers, toes etc crossed for you that it's just a blip.

Just this morning received my 12 week scan letter - Tues 31st Jan. I'll be 12+2 so I probably can't get away with another private scan in the meantime, oh well ;o)

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 14:53

It was just so scary and I didn't know what to do as I was on my own. The NHS hotline were so good though. I just saw it all coming crashing down around me. I felt quiet numb to be honest.
Week after me Bear! That'll soon be here. I'll keep you company. Although I'll probably be driving you all crazy on here! Still having all the nausea and some odd cramps but no more bleeding as yet xxx

It must have been horrendous and to be on your own too. You totally did the right thing calling an ambulance. Let's hope for no more dramatics from here!

Yes indeed, the late self-referral didn't seem to do much harm at all! I thought it was supposed to be mega over-subscribed around here. I won't complain though, it's a few hundred quid that we will save. xx

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 15:05

Well I called them because my DH told me to and they said they were sending an ambulance. Lovely people they were as well. Yes I am praying for no more drama!!!
DH and I both want a scan on Monday for a proper look. Then it'll only be a week till the big scan so that should satisfy me.

Going to be a very restful weekend. Hope you ladies are doing ok xxx

So glad you're alright lolly, you must have been terrified. Rest up.

My private scan today was fine so everything is ok so far xx

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 17:38

Oh that's such a relief Mrs Crab! Bet you feel so much better.
I've not had any more bleeding even though she said there was a little there to come out but not active. I've had some cramps as well but just hoping it's all ok.
Nothing we can do but wait and see. Hoping for a private scan Monday, just waiting for them to call back. xxx

All good news lolly and mrsc
Hope you both have an relaxed and stress free weekend.

I'm desperate for my 12 weeks appointment now. The midwife said she'll chase it next week if I haven't recieved anything. I could just really do with some notice. DP has the kind of job where he can't just pop to an appointment for an hour, he has a good relationship with his boss so likes to give as much notice as possible which I understand. And I'm just impatient lol

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 17:51

Aw hope it comes through mistletoe. Can you ring them?
Just heard from the clinic and they can only scan me Tuesday. So I'll go for scan and bloods then. I'll just be desperately praying until then! xx

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 13/01/2017 17:55

In a backwards kind of way I don't want to chase it, with my shitty history ignorance is bliss. I'll let the midwife chase it on Wednesday. I'm only 9+4 so still plenty of time.

You must rest till Tuesday, get in your bed and stay there Grin I'm sure everything will be fine. Is your DP home with you now?

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 17:58

Yer he flew home first thing this morning. He then had to go to the clinic to get me some more clexane so just waiting for him to get back.
Will be resting for sure!!

Know what you mean about not chasing. So hard isn't it all these feelings of worry and anxiety. xxx

I'm very local Lolly if you ever need help or hand holding x

Bear2014 · 13/01/2017 18:26

Good news on scan mrsc. I can relate on the ignorance is bliss front for sure, but really hope all will be fine this time.

Where do you go for your private scans Lolly? I was so impressed with the Fetal Medicine Centre last week, they were great. I'm a but gutted I can't justify going back before my nuchal scan now.

Lolly2803 · 13/01/2017 18:43

Thanks so much Blue. Really appreciate that xxx
I've been just going to the clinic Bear. Where is the fetal medicine unit? I just can't wait till my 13+3 scan so need another before hand. Should get NIPT results next week too.
