Hi ladies! Starting a new thread for those of us who have spent a while on the infertility board while going trough various treatments and are technically pregnant but too scared to join a pregnancy thread! Smile

I'm famously terrible at guessing. I was so convinced DD was a boy, I was literally in disbelief for days when she was a girl.

I know 3 sets of twin boys and 1 set of twin girls, no boy-girl combos yet!

Lolly2803 · 28/02/2017 13:49

Ooo!! Haha!! I will post my 20wk scan pics and we can all guess!! I have no experience in guessing so I won't be much good I don't think!

Bet you can't wait for tomorrow. I'm excited to find out for you!

I see it as a formality to be honest, I don't think someone would volunteer to tell us the sex at 12 weeks unless they were pretty sure. Will be great to see the baby again though, twice!

Blueroses99 · 28/02/2017 17:45

Lolly I'm getting girl vibes for both of yours! Hope the skin condition gets under control soon, that doesn't sound pleasant at all. Good to hear the cervix is looking long and strong.

Bear I'm on another thread where they were told one sex at 12 weeks and the opposite at 16 so you never know!

Lolly2803 · 28/02/2017 18:00

Aw really Blue?!! You're the first person to say that! Eeekk!!

Just had a bath run through oats and smothered in cream so hoping it helps. Dr said I could have it for the rest of my pregnancy which if is the case will be absolutely awful. I don't even want to consider that as it will be so uncomfortable!

Yep cervix was 46 something I think....does that make sense to you?

Hope you're doing well Blue!

Blueroses99 · 28/02/2017 18:20

I've thought 2 girls since the beginning! 🤔

Yes 46mm at 18w is really good. I was 35mm at 7w and will be measured again on Thursday.

I'm going to Bump & Babies meet ups locally. It's a bit weird as I'm so far behind the other 'bump' ladies so I can't relate to them just yet but nice to hang out with new mums and babies having avoided them through years of infertility. So I have that tomorrow.

I'm being seen by the pre-term clinic on Thursday, they will check my cervix and make sure the stitch is in place with no shortening or funnelling etc. I will hopefully get my swab/blood test results too. As the stitch is a 'foreign object' in the body, I'm more susceptible to infections. I have been on prophylactic antibiotics but it'll be good to see what's really happening down there.

Bear2014 · 28/02/2017 18:47

Oh really blue?! That's interesting- it would be really weird if they told us it was a girl now.

Got yet another call from the midwife team flapping about sickle cell screening, had to explain yet again that our donor is clear and partner is low risk. I don't remember this at all with DD.

Meanwhile my sister goes for her booking in appointment and the midwife refuses to put her due date in the system, based on her FET. She's been dated by LMP which is 2 weeks ahead and will have to wait for it to be corrected at her scan. Is FET really so rare that they can't get their heads around a simple case?! Weird.

Glad everything is ok Blue and hopefully your check will go well. How are you feeling and how is the house going?

Good Luck today Bear!!! Keep us posted on baby Bear. Thinking of you xxx

Good luck with your checkup Blue

Lolly how is the rash today?

Well Baby Bear is definitely a boy! Slightly horrified by the view I just had of his bits floating across the screen Grin

Lolly2803 · 01/03/2017 11:36

Aw fantastic Bear! Good to have it confirmed. Must have been lovely.

Rash still there and could be for whole pregnancy. I will cry if so not sure I can deal with it. Under my boobs is the worst and when I put the cream on it feels like I'm bruised.

Not feeling good at all to be honest.

Oh no lolly sounds awful. Could you post a thread about it on the pregnacy bit. MN is full of good ideas as there's always someone who has had the same thing. May give you ideas of things to try to relieve it slightly. Sorry your feeling awful BrewCake

bear glad he's still got his tackle Grin

Midwife for me tomorrow where we'll hopefully hear a heartbeat, definately nervous now especially has I've had a shit couple of days. I could be getting a bug but my gosh I'm tired again, thought I'd left this behind! I'm still sick daily too and the last two days have been quite bad

Bear2014 · 01/03/2017 11:47

Oh Lolly this sucks so much! Really hope it improves a bit so you can be more comfortable.

Mistletoe my tiredness is back too, maybe they are having a growth spurt.

Lolly2803 · 01/03/2017 12:07

Mistletoe good idea. I have posted a thread about it so let's see if any ladies have any recommendations.
I'm still very tired and having nausea spells so I think it can linger for a while. Although on the positive I'm told it's a good sign!
You'll definitely hear the heartbeat and hopefully that'll relax you a bit. Till the next wait! I'm nervous for my 20week scan next week. Hoping all ok.

Going to have another soak in a bit!! Still off work but I am just too uncomfortable and I can't put proper clothes on yet!!

FraggleRock77 · 01/03/2017 15:04

Sounds awful Lolly! Could the GP refer you onto a specialist? They tend to be able to offer more potent creams. How did the Bumps & Babies meet up go Blue? How funny to see the tackle Bear! I can't wait for our Harmony email! I am still struggling with tiredness. I look like I'm 9 months pregnant too. I know they say you're bugger with your second but it's getting ridiculous at nearly 15 weeks. Don't think i will get to term. X

FraggleRock77 · 01/03/2017 15:10

Bigger not bugger!!!

mistletoeprickles · 02/03/2017 20:04

A quick update from me
The midwife appointment went really well, heartbeat was perfect. My movements are definately movements, baby kept moving away from the doppler and I could feel it. Baby then spent the afternoon wiggling around!

Hope everyone is ok xxx

FraggleRock77 · 02/03/2017 20:35

Lovely new Mistle. How many weeks are you? I have my firsts midwife appointment tomorrow, do you think i will get to hear the heart beat at nearly 15 Wks? I never got offered this during my last pregnancy x

Lolly2803 · 02/03/2017 21:14

Fantastic news Mistletoe!! You must be feeling fab today.

Good Luck tomorrow Fraggle. I'm sure the midwife will try let you hear the heartbeat. Let us know how you get on!

Who's next up for a scan? xx x x

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 03/03/2017 05:24

fraggle there is no harm in asking. My midwife said it's tricky at this size because they wriggle away Grin I am 17 weeks now.

lolly enless anyone is having one today I think it's me. I have my gender scan booked for tomorrow

Lolly2803 · 03/03/2017 08:06

Ooo exciting Mistletoe!! Any feelings either way? I can't remember what you said. So we already have Blue - girl. Bear - boy.

Can't wait to find out what we've all got!

I've got my 20wk scan next week. Can't quiet believe it. I'm actually really nervous about this one. Hope everything is ok.

Happy Friday ladies!!! xxxx

MrsCrabtree · 03/03/2017 08:18

That's great mistletoe! How lovely to hear and feel it Smile exciting to find out sex soon.

I'm dying to feel mine and getting nervous about my midwife appt on Tuesday. I almost caved and bought a Doppler but then stopped myself... just hope it's ok in there.

Lolly hope your rash is ok? X

Lolly2803 · 03/03/2017 08:39

I'm sure everything is fine MrsCrab. I think a Doppler would just freak me out more. I think early on even midwives find it hard to find the HB so if I could I would be upset so I think best to wait - well I would. Not long to wait till Tuesday. My scan is on Weds so another busy week for the thread!

My rash is getting better! It's still itchy but I've been soaking in two oat baths a day and slapping on the cream like you wouldn't believe. Then camomile lotion when it starts to itch. It's really getting better so I just hope it stays like that if I keep up all the treatment. Not been a nice week thats for sure!

The movement I felt has been a bit like being tickled inside or having a wave of something in there. Hard to explain and I've only felt it a few times. Mainly in the evening when I've been resting. I'm desperate for a big kick! Not sure when that will come? DH is desperate to feel something too bless him.

xxx

That's great Mistletoe. Very comforting!

Glad you're feeling a bit better Lolly. You will be battered senseless in no time, don't worry!

Glad I had the 2 scans the other day. The NHS one was weird, it was an internal scan, yuck, so could barely see the baby at all. They were literally just looking at the placenta. So they wouldn't have been able to confirm gender.

How exciting about gender scan, let us know! Xx
