I have been reassured by the consultant, he is not worried about the brown blood or fibroids. He says brown blood after stitch is not unexpected but to come straight in if there is more fresh red blood, fluid or pain. He says the fibroid is still small and very rarely can interfere in pregnancy. They will measure again at 20w and he says I should still go to the EPU appointment that A&E made for me do I can see baby and measure cervix. Phew.

Bear I love rainbows too, had lots of them when I was younger 🌈

Lolly sucks to still have nausea. Hope it doesn't last much longer

Lolly2803 · 20/02/2017 18:02

Great news Blue! Hope that can put your mind at rest. Good you're being closely monitored so they can keep an eye on things and hopefully that will help with the worry. Lots of rest for you!

Hope everyone had a good Monday! Who's up next for a scan? I'm having my cervix checked again on Monday. xxxx

Hurray! That's fab Blue. Fingers crossed the news stays good.

I was at UCC yesterday morning with a UTI. Looks OK, but painful and unpleasant.

FraggleRock77 · 20/02/2017 19:00

Pleased to hear you feel reassured Blue. Still such a worry. Great that you're able to access good advice and support from a consultant that quickly xxx

Bear2014 · 21/02/2017 08:17

Great news Blue

Hope everyone else feeling ok today and you're not too queasy Lolly! I'm really rooting for you that you get your fabulous second trimester Wink

I'm still unconvinced if I'm getting any flutters but my belly is getting more solid, which pleases me.

Lolly2803 · 21/02/2017 08:36

Morning Bear! I've had no flutters or anything yet. Itching to feel something! My belly is hard though and have a proper bump. I bought some maternity jeans on Saturday and wore them, loved them. Today they are saggy and baggy!! Hoping I can take them back as they are awful now. I've emailed them and seen the reviews on the site say this as well. Annoying as I thought I'd finally cracked the jeans issue as I've bought and sent back about 5 pairs!

Not long till your scan Bear! xxx

Ugh jeans are a nightmare. I hate the fact that the join between the denim and the stretchy bit always digs in no matter where you position it, and yes they go saggy after a day. Bloody annoying! I'm hoping for warm weather as last time, I wore those ASOS jersey black trousers with sandals and tops/leggings, dresses and sandals as my uniform. At the mo it's leggings, dresses and long boots. I do wear the jeans but not usually for a whole day because of the discomfort of them. Boo!

mistletoeprickles · 21/02/2017 09:43

Hey everyone

Sorry I've been awol..life has been busy.

Glad to see everyone is doing well.

Any scans coming up this week?

Maternity clothes are the bain of my life currently. No high street store stocks them in the shops near me, I just want to be able to try stuff in before buying it! I'm such a funny shape that ordering on line is pointless as I can almost guarantee it'll have to be returned

Lolly2803 · 21/02/2017 10:10

Bear I have the opposite! The bit between the Dennis and stretch bit is all saggy and the bum and legs have also gone saggy after one wear!
I'm hoping they'll let me return them... let's see.

I might head to topshop on Oxford street after work as everyone says there jeans are much better and at least I can try them on! I can't deal with sending stuff back anymore either Mistletoe! I had a sack full on Saturday!

I'm awaiting some leggings to arrive as well so I'm in a bit of bottom limbo! I think warmer weather is easier too Bear. I would just like a decent pair of jeans!!

My next check is Monday Mistletoe, for cervix measure. Should get to see the babies too!! Eeekk!! Then i have my 20 week scan on the 8th! When is your next one? xxx

Bear2014 · 21/02/2017 17:42

Ha - good to know I'm not alone in my maternity jeans misery Wink roll on the summer!

Lolly2803 · 21/02/2017 19:05

Bought two pairs from topshop - so much better!! Shopping when pregnant is NOT fun though. On my way home for a sit down and some food.

Hope you're all having a nice evening. X

Bear, just been into Mothercare to look for pregnancy clothes (erm don't bother) and so many baby outfits with rainbows on! I saw the lovely baby grow you liked too. I hope you managed to get one?x

FraggleRock77 · 21/02/2017 19:24

Nearly picked it up for you!x

Bear2014 · 21/02/2017 21:50

Ah thanks Fraggle, i've got a few people on the lookout for it and have bought some alternative rainbow stuff, as you say there is plenty out there!

Glad you got some jeans Lolly xx

MrsCrabtree · 21/02/2017 22:42

Sorry to hear about the UTI Raffles Sad

Exciting that we are all in the maternity clothes stage now..! I got some H&M maternity jeans and I love them, really comfy, cheapish and holding their shape. I have to buy 2 sizes bigger than my real size in there but I don't care. I'm excited to have a slight bump although in reality most of it is lunch!!

14 weeks tomorrow and staring down another 6 weeks til another scan Confused. Not long til yours lolly!

mistletoeprickles · 22/02/2017 09:46

Can we have another update on where in pregnancies we are?

I keep getting lost Smile although yesterday I forgot where I'd parked my car so I've got no chance Grin

I'm 16 weeks in Friday and my next scan is the 4th.

I'm very jealous of you lot walking into a shop and trying stuff on. Only store in my town is mothercare and it's all horrible. I brought I second hand maternity bundle on line yesterday. 18 items at an absolute bargain so I'm a little happier.
I'm ready for it to be warmer so I can get into dresses

Lolly2803 · 22/02/2017 10:52

Mistletoe I've only had to do that with jeans. The rest I've ordered online. Going into a shop and trying clothes on is NOT fun at all!!

I am 17+4 today and I have my 20 wk scan on 8th March. xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 22/02/2017 11:53

Ditto for trying stuff on. I live in London but it's wasted on me on that front as I've always hated shopping. Online all the way!

I'm 15+3 today, next scan is on the 1st March.

Lolly2803 · 22/02/2017 13:24

Is anyone else just overcome with tiredness? I go to bed really early but I'm really struggling with it some days. Today being one. I'm forcing down a sandwich as I know I can't be skipping meals but I just feel sick and really tired.

Anyone else have days like this? xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 22/02/2017 13:40

Poor you Lolly! Twins is always going to be a massive drain on the body I guess, logically. Most of my tiredness is directly related to how DD sleeps/doesn't sleep.

Are you allowing yourself some caffeine? You don't need to be all that strict about it, if it's a case of being able to function! xx

Lolly2803 · 22/02/2017 13:53

Yer you're right. No I haven't had any caffeine since I started my FET!! To be honest I'm off hot drinks so I wouldn't even fancy one. I also never drink fizzy drinks with caffeine or anything as I just don't like them.

Usually it's manageable I'm just having a really tired day I think.

Must be so hard with a toddler too! Not sure what I'd do if I had a toddler to look after right now as well! xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 22/02/2017 14:04

I always fancy tea/coffee and whatnot Wink so I keep myself gently topped up. I don't know how people have the energy to go for a 3rd child so it's all relative I guess! And we went to great lengths to avoid getting pregnant with twins cause we're lightweights Grin

Lolly2803 · 22/02/2017 14:20

Haha! You're not a lightweight!
I loved a cuppa or a coffee before all this but just don't fancy it at the moment. Weird!

Going to try and do another hour at work and then might just ask to go home. Then have a shower and fall asleep on the sofa!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 22/02/2017 14:36

My mum said she went off it completely and my sister has too, I think it's quite common. I'm having it very weak though, compared to how I would normally.

Ha ha - we avoided twins first time as we had a teeny tiny top-floor flat and it would have been a nightmare, and this time because we didn't want to end up with 3 kids! So logical really, but I do still have all the admiration in the world for the twin mums in my life.

Lolly2803 · 22/02/2017 14:56

Aw that's such a nice thing to say about your friends Bear.
We live in a lovely big two bed flat but with 1 set of external and 1 set of internal stairs it's not practical with two!
We are in the process of buying a house, closer to my family too which will be helpful I'm sure. Let's see how it goes, buying property is so unpredictable! xxx
