Hi ladies! Starting a new thread for those of us who have spent a while on the infertility board while going trough various treatments and are technically pregnant but too scared to join a pregnancy thread! Smile

Anyone else felt any more flutters or movements? I've felt nothing yet, not a peep!! Hoping to feel something in the next couple of weeks!

I'm less convinced now that I've felt the baby as nothing for several days. It will be soon lolly!

How's this for irony- just got a letter through for a scan to check the placenta (previous c sec) on the very same day that we have booked and already paid for our gender scan! Thankfully not at the same time Smile

Lolly2803 · 17/02/2017 09:55

Awww!! Can you get your money back on the gender scan? Strange you've had to pay already?!!

My SIL said she felt her baby kick this week. It's her second and she's about 2 weeks behind me.
I hope it's soon!!!

It was a total bargain deal thing. We'll do both - no reason why not to really, just sad not to spread it out a bit!!

Lolly2803 · 17/02/2017 10:59

That's true, can never see baby too many times!! Not long to go now. Hope you get some nice pics to show us!

Bear - I'm having another scan on Saturday because I bought a scan package from my clinic but am in the NHS system as well (mainly because I often can't make appointments because of my job). I have my (slightly late) booking in today. Anything I need to know/should ask?
Hope everyone OK today.

Lolly2803 · 17/02/2017 11:53

Aw another peek at baby Raffles, excellent. I'm all for that!! Can't think of anything from booking in, I just answered all their questions I think. xxx

Hooray for all the scan action! Booking in is just a big load of admin really xx

MrsCrabtree · 17/02/2017 14:25

Hi all, great to hear lots of positive news! That's brilliant Raffles.

My scan today was ok in the end. Baby appeared to be doing buckeroo (?!) most of the time after we had to wake it up to move round. Still no explanation for bleeding - they basically said they don't know if it's a problem or not and there's not much they can do even if it is... not very reassuring! By at least I've seen baby is ok today. Next scan in 7 weeks. I was planning to book another private one in between but there was a poster up in the waiting room about the potential dangers of too many ultrasounds. I've already had 7, which is quite a lot, so now I'm a bit nervous about having more unless I really have to. That said, if I carry on bleeding I'm going to get really anxious. Anyone know anything about the risks?? Google seems light on facts and heavy on opinion x

Bear2014 · 17/02/2017 15:14

Great news Raffles!

Interesting about the scan thing. I was always told they were safe. With DD I had scans at 7, 12, 20 and 36 weeks and was then admitted to hospital at 38 weeks and had a scan every day until she was born - so 12 more scans!

Bear2014 · 17/02/2017 15:15

Sorry I meant great news crab!

Lolly2803 · 17/02/2017 15:24

Great news Crab!!! So pleased baby ok.
I've always heard scans are safe too. What could possibly be the risk?! Some women need to have loads throughout the pregnancy so I can't imagine there could be a real danger.

Pleased to hear all is well Crab x

RafflesMaidenSister · 17/02/2017 17:54

Glad it went well crab. Fingers crossed the bleeding stops soon.

Blueroses99 · 18/02/2017 13:35

Sorry for dropping off the thread. I had a worrying moment when I found some dark brown blood yesterday and the midwife said that it's not unusual after the stitch but to go in if there was any more. No more yesterday but woke up to more this morning so into A&E to get referral to EPU but it's not open as it's a Saturday! So treated by A&E doctor under guidance from an on call gynaecologist. Baby is ok and kicking away, the stitch is in place and cervix is closed, but ultrasound shows that the fibroid is growing. I have a friend through SANDS that lost her baby because of a large fibroid so we are very worried. I'm concerned that the extra progesterone I'm taking for my cervix is causing the bleeding and/or fibroids. Just going home now to rest. It's all so stressful.

RafflesMaidenSister · 18/02/2017 13:59

So sorry Blue. Fingers crossed it will stop growing. Poor you. Xxx

Lolly2803 · 18/02/2017 17:26

Aw so sorry you've got more stress and worry Blue. What have the Drs said? Hope you're ok xxxx

FraggleRock77 · 18/02/2017 17:41

What a worry Blue. Hope you're feeling better?x

MrsCrabtree · 18/02/2017 18:42

Oh blue, sorry to hear this, you must be terrified. Will you have regular check to see if it grows more/get advice about the progesterone pros and cons? Sending hugs x

Bear2014 · 18/02/2017 19:35

Yikes Blue sorry to hear this. It is indeed so stressful! Hope they can keep it all under control for you xx

Blueroses99 · 19/02/2017 11:04

Thanks for the support ladies. I've just so scared of something going wrong (and also too frightened to even ask Dr Google about fibroids in case it freaks me out even more!). Just keeping my feet up until I see a gynaecologist on Tuesday.

Bear2014 · 20/02/2017 09:28

How are you doing today Blue? Hope you have managed to stay away from Dr Google.

Hope everyone else is good and had a nice weekend xx

Blueroses99 · 20/02/2017 10:46

I haven't had any more bleeding thankfully but I'm due to see my consultant this afternoon, I managed to squeeze onto his patient list. I feel bad, like I'm queue jumping as I'm due to see a gynaecologist tomorrow but I need someone who knows me to make sure everything is ok. Dr Google has left me confused, progesterone can be used to reduce fibroids by reducing the proportion of oestrogen but can also assist growth of fibroids Confused

Bear did you manage to get that outfit? It's gorgeous and I'd love one too but I might settle for one of these.

Hope everyone else is doing well xx

Bear2014 · 20/02/2017 11:10

Hi Blue that's good - don't feel bad! You need to get it sorted.

Apparently my parents' local, absolutely huge, Mothercare doesn't stock them either so I can't really be bothered to hunt one down in London to be honest. We have quite a lot of rainbow stuff. We didn't know the sex when we had DD so all her stuff was unisex, and I've always liked rainbows. I like them for the gay associations - until I had a miscarriage last year, I had never heard the term 'rainbow baby' and had no clue what it actually meant. So when we went overboard on the rainbows, several people probably got the wrong end of the stick! Oh well. Confused

The blankets are really cute xx

Lolly2803 · 20/02/2017 11:22

Hey Blue, great you've had no bleeding and do not worry about jumping the queue. You need to be seen so glad you're there waiting to see someone who knows your history. Hope everything is ok. Thinking of you.

Bear I like rainbows too! Just because they are colourful rather than anything else! There are so many cute baby clothes around at the moment I can't wait to start buying - won't be for a while yet though.

My nausea is still hanging around. Saturday it was really really bad but yesterday quiet mild. No logic!! The tiredness is really ramping up though. I feel like such a bore!!

Hope you all had nice weekends xxx
