It's so hard MrsCrab I feel you there. But as you say you've been checked and all is ok. The nurse told me yesterday so many women bleed throughout pregnancy and they don't know why!

I had my big 12 at 13+3 so I know what you mean!
I can't wait to feel some movement I think that'll relax me a lot. Until I find something to worry about there too!!!

Just catching up with the thread. I'm pleased to hear everyone is doing ok, even though the on/off bleeding is such a worry. With my first DC i bled all the time during pregnancy. Had a CSI bed scene at 14 weeks, literally poured a bottle of red in five minutes. However with both MMC didn't bleed once! I hope you can find something to take your minds off the wait. It's so bloody tough and stressful. My 12 wk scan is Wed next week. Dreading it!!

Blueroses99 · 08/02/2017 09:22

I've been very lucky with extra scans - I've had 7 in the last 8 weeks! But I'm not sure when the next one will be. I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow but I don't think I'll get a scan, then I am seeing the consultant in 3 weeks when she will scan my cervix and hopefully check on little miss too. Otherwise my next scan is the 20w scan in 6 weeks!

Sorry to hear about all the bleeding, it must be so hard not to worry but at least it doesn't mean something bad.

Bear2014 · 08/02/2017 09:44

Hi Fraggle It's so terrifying when you've had previous losses isn't it. I really feel for you. Hang in there though, I'm sure all will be well.

I've had 4 scans in total, but one was included in our FET cycle and 2 were paid for privately. We're getting a gender scan at the first possible opportunity so we can tell DD brother/sister then we're just going to go with the flow.

Hope everyone has a good day! xx

mistletoeprickles · 08/02/2017 10:08

bear where I am we can have a gender scan from 16 weeks. Which is less than 3 weeks away eeek, I'm excited. I am pretty sure this one is a boy though.

The bleeding is scary and I've had nothing compared to some. Mostly the cause is unknown.
They put my at the weekend down to an iritated cervix, she said something as simple as coughing can sometimes lead to it, and sex is the other common one.

I had a slow day at work yesterday and found myself looking at cribs. When I had DD I had a moses basket then pretty much slept sat up so I could see her, this time I'd really love a swinging crib so I can see easier and it would fit nice in our bedroom. Then I decided I was getting ahead of myself and clicked off!

Bear2014 · 08/02/2017 10:21

Mistletoe It's so tempting with the shopping! We don't need much as DD is only 3 and we have most of it left over but we're definitely getting a Chicco Next To Me this time. DD pretty much fed constantly for months and months and I want to be realistic about it this time and get a teensy bit more sleep ;o)

FraggleRock77 · 08/02/2017 11:21

Thanks Bear. I've just bought some new heals to take my mind off the wait!!! x

Lolly2803 · 08/02/2017 11:47

Morning ladies!
Fraggle I know your fear! I've not experienced a loss but I know how scary bleeding is. Mine also seems unexplained and they can see no signs of where is has come from or anything. Doesn't make it any less scary though.
I've got my first consultant appointment tomorrow so looking forward to that, no idea what to expect though!

Mistletoe i am exactly the same! I've been looking at things online and then getting scared and clicking off. I won't be buying anything until quiet late I don't think! I did look at the Chico next to me Bear but wasn't sure if it was big enough for two?

I'm still feeling the nausea but I'm a way it's reassuring especially after having the bleeds. Waiting for the glowing radiant stage!! Can't believe I am 15+4 and 4 months on Saturday!! Feels so surreal. xxxx

Booked my gender scan for 1st March! Whoop. Suspense is kind of gone as we're just looking to confirm it's a boy but desperate to see baby again regardless.

Lolly You'll probably just need to put the full size cot in your room and put them both in there, one at each end. You can get away with stuff with one baby that you can't really get away with with 2, i.e. letting them feed on demand forever. Most twin mums I know have done a good mixture of BF, and bottle, shared with the OH, and had them sleeping through from quite young. Otherwise you'd burn out ;o)

Lolly2803 · 08/02/2017 13:33

Oh really?! That's useful to know - argh I don't know anything!!

1st March not too long away. Eeek so exciting. Any opportunity to see baby/babies I am on full support of. Although we are still set on not finding out I think xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 08/02/2017 13:38

You don't need to know anything yet! Just because I know a disproportionate amount of twins and I'm fascinated by the different approach that twin mums have to take. We were fairly baby-led, baby wearing etc but it's exhausting enough with one. Baby number 2 won't be approached in that way, I can tell you now Grin

Lolly2803 · 08/02/2017 14:06

Haha you'll be a pro this time!
I'm still having some brown today but assuming that's left over from Monday's bleed and trying not to worry.

I keep thinking I have nothing to compare it to so that'll mean it's less of a shock to the system! xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 08/02/2017 14:09

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if DD's ongoing massive piss-taking on the sleep front eclipsed all newborn antics ;o)

Exactly! Just don't be one of those annoying twin mums who make comments along the lines of 'If I only had one baby my life would be so easy' Wink

Lolly2803 · 08/02/2017 14:38

I think (and I say this having no experience of having a child). That having a baby is really hard regardless of whether it's one or two. Now I'm sure having two is really tough as you are one person and they are two but having a baby is hard regardless. And it's not a competition!!!
Can't imagine being one of those mums! I'm not really a moaner or complainer anyway. Apart from that bloody cough I had - I moaned a lot about that as it was so annoying!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 08/02/2017 14:56

I'm sure you won't be one of those mums. I only know one of them but she's pretty vocal on Facebook and it's not what you need to hear after very little sleep ;o) seriously though, don't worry about a thing right now, you'll figure it out xx

Lolly2803 · 08/02/2017 21:34

Tell me period pains off and on are ok?!!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 09/02/2017 06:19

Hope you're ok Lolly! Sounds like stretching pains, or could be Braxton Hicks maybe xx

FraggleRock77 · 09/02/2017 07:07

So difficult not to worry Lolly. I get them frequently. Some stop me in my path. Hope you're feeling better. Think Bear could be spot on x

Lolly2803 · 09/02/2017 07:50

I have been getting them off and on the whole time I was just worrying after the bleed that's all. Hope everything is ok. My proper check on Monday can't come soon enough!
Unless the consultant will check things today? No idea.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks ladies xxx

OP posts:
Mrscrabtree · 09/02/2017 08:29

I think we're in a similar position lolly. I've woken up with new pains today and obviously am worrying straight away because of the bleeds and I'm still spotting. They're sharp like a stitch but on either side of my lower abdomen. I'm hoping it's just stretching pains. If it's any reassurance I've had cramp like pains pretty much the entire time so far and all has been ok. Good luck with your appointment xx

Blueroses99 · 09/02/2017 08:34

I'm getting stretching pains too, it's quite unsettling. I'm seeing a midwife this morning so I'll mention it then.

Bear2014 · 09/02/2017 08:35

I don't know if the consultant would/could scan you but hopefully they can provide some reassurance.

I've got a consultant appt tomorrow too, i've been so hung up on the fact that I have to take DD with me that I haven't even thought what might be involved,

Lolly2803 · 09/02/2017 09:02

No pains so far today. The brown seems to have settled too. Still feeling nauseas and my boobs are really sore.
Looking forward to my appointment though. I'll let you know what happened so you know what to expect.

I too have been having pinching and stretching twinges and I asked about it at the clinic on Monday and they said it was totally normal. She said you might get some stronger pains which is doing ligament pain and that's normal too! xxxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 09/02/2017 09:46

Glad it's eased off a bit today. It's all very nerve wracking, but there are two small people in you, growing the whole time and basically shoving all your vital organs out of the way. So much pain and discomfort falls on the spectrum of normal. Hang in there!! xx

Lolly2803 · 09/02/2017 10:28

Appointment went well and consultant is lovely. He gave us a quick scan without even asking. Said bleeding like I've had is quiet normal and although scary to try not to worry.
Saw two cute babies wiggling around so feeling ok now. Know a bit more about twins too! xxx
