Yer exactly! I am seeing the babies on Monday and it'll have been 3 weeks!! Totally understand about splitting your time but I'm sure you'll get into a routine and time for both of them. It'll just be different. And DD will be big sis so will be able to be part of it all too.

Aw Blue that's great! Delegating is the way forward. Glad to hear you're relaxing and don't have to think about work! I'm think I will finish at the end of May. I'll be 31 weeks then. I'll probably have to be wheelbarrowed in!!

Wow Blue it's definitely good to have your house project to keep you busy. I can't imagine having any prolonged time off work. I finished at 37+4 last time and went straight into hospital at 38 so had precisely 3 days to myself. Would love to have more this time but I'll probably keep going until the bitter end again, otherwise I'll have to go back to work at the beginning of the summer next year which would suck.

Lolly2803 · 06/02/2017 15:23

Well I'm going to use my holiday for the next 4 weeks so my maternity won't kick in till 35 weeks. I just think I'll be too big and tired to commute in and I'll want some time to rest before so was thinking that was a good time. I also hate my work so any excuse to get out!!!!

Bear2014 · 06/02/2017 15:28

That sounds really sensible with twins, Lolly. The only reason why I managed it last time (apart from only being pregnant with one baby) was that I commuted from Brixton to Kings Cross, lived 3 minutes from the tube and always got a seat. It's much more convoluted now, even if OH does all the nursery runs further down the line.

The only way I'll manage it this time is by massively pushing my luck with work from home privileges.

I'm not loving my work at the moment either! My manager is now making us fill in detailed time sheets of how we spend every minute of ever day! Just hoping that if any redundancies happen I'll be on mat leave by then and protected to an extent. Not enjoying the work but up until now it's been really easy going and family friendly. Maybe not for much longer Hmm

Mrscrabtree · 06/02/2017 17:28

Fab to hear you're off now Blue! Enjoy! CakeBrew

I absolutely can't wait for leave from part of my job, but the other half I really enjoy and it's going to be extremely inconvenient for that team Confused Baby is definitely more important but I still do worry about pissing them off because I want to go back half time to that part! I'm definitely not yet able to really picture this all actually happening so in a way it seems like a pretend issue at the moment, but I think it's all going to get real when I have to tell work in a few weeks time. 12 weeks on Wednesday!

In other news, I wore my baby on board badge for the first time on my morning commute today as it was so full. Felt like a right fraud!!

Lolly2803 · 06/02/2017 18:57

Hi ladies, sorry to completely change the subject. Went to clinic to have my bloods done as I'm wheening off the drugs. Went to the loo and when I wiped a load of fresh blood. Freaked out and am now waiting for them to scan me. I'm having some mild cramps like last time too.
They gave me a pad and so far nothing more on the pad or when I wipe. I'm so scared.

OP posts:
Mrscrabtree · 06/02/2017 19:21

Hang on in there lolly. How long do you have to wait for the scan? Thinking of you xx

Lolly2803 · 06/02/2017 20:00

So had my abdominal scan. Everything fine. Babies looking great. Jumping and poking each other.
Haven't had anything since, not even a spot or when I wipe. She said sometimes this happens especially with twins.
We are back in on Monday for internal scan to check cervix and babies measurements etc anyway so will see then as well. She said I need to rest and maybe at 20wks try and work from home more and get lots of rest.

Still worrying but feel ok for now. What day!!!

Mrscrabtree · 06/02/2017 20:04

Thank goodness, great news!

Jumping and poking each other! How amazing. Hope you feel more relaxed x

Blueroses99 · 06/02/2017 20:49

That's a relief Lolly!

Lolly2803 · 06/02/2017 21:55

Still getting some weird sensations/pains on the side of my bump. Worrying still but let's see how things look on Monday and how the next few days go.
Will be working from home tomorrow xx

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 06/02/2017 22:15

And some weird sensations down below. Argh the worry!!!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 07/02/2017 08:09

Oh dear Lolly what a day! Definitely take it easy today and keep your feet up. Those babies are already keeping you on your toes xx

Lolly2803 · 07/02/2017 08:18

I know!! Yes I am at home today. Had a little bit of brown last night which the nurse said usually happens after a bleed. No more since and no cramps. So strange!! The worry and fear is just something else isn't it?!!

Then when you see them on screen totally fine and messing about you just think "what's going on?!!". Relief!! Seeing the consultant on Thursday so will mention it to him as well.
Going back on Monday to the clinic anyway for a scan I had booked and cervix check etc. Last night was just a quick look and to check they ok. xx

mistletoeprickles · 07/02/2017 08:19

lolly I hope your feeling ok today and nothing scary has happened over night. These babies like keeping us on our toes.

In relation to leave, I finished with DD at 30 weeks due to terrible SPD, I'm kind of expecting it to bad this time. As it stands I'm going to finish around the the same time but will be using my holiday up first.
So maternity will start around 35 weeks.

How's everyone's bumps coming on?
I have a definite bump now, they even commented on it at the hospital yesterday. I really like it Grin DP rubs me goodnight now

Bear2014 · 07/02/2017 09:04

Mistletoe Owch! That doesn't sound good. hope it's better this time.

I look and feel pretty much the same as I have for a few weeks. I want the bump to pop out a bit more but I guess I am only just 13 weeks. A week ago today since the 12 week scan, 3 more weeks seems like ages to wait til the next glimpse xx

mistletoeprickles · 07/02/2017 09:29

bear I'm feel the same about the scans. Obviously we had an unexpected sneaky peek yesterday but still seems miles away until the next one.

I can't wait for movement just so I know everything is ok

Lolly2803 · 07/02/2017 09:33

I hear you ladies! I of course saw them unexpectedly yesterday but in a way I couldn't take it in. All seems a bit of a blur!! Seeing them on Monday though!! Have my consultant apt on thurs but don't think I'll see the babies. Not sure what to expect. Feeling ok today. Just a bit tired and overwhelmed.

I've got a bump though :-) I am the same, can't wait to feel them move! When did you say that's likely I can't remember? I'm 15+3.

Thank goodness for you ladies on here!!!

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 07/02/2017 10:34

lolly there's lots of different factors. I imagine as you've got two it'll be earlier.
With DD I was 16 weeks but they say with first it should be around 20 weeks.

RafflesMaidenSister · 07/02/2017 11:06

Phew, Lolly, glad everything is OK!

Bear2014 · 07/02/2017 12:03

I'm amazed you haven't felt it yet Lolly. In fact you probably have but mistaking it for other stuff. I felt DD at about 18 weeks and am desperate for it to be earlier this time as it is very reassuring xx

Lolly2803 · 07/02/2017 12:13

Yer if I have I definitely haven't noticed!! I shall let you know when I feel something. I can't wait. I'm just worried at the moment but taking it easy working from home xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 07/02/2017 12:55

That's good that you're taking it easy. I have heard before that 'random' bleeds are more likely with twins. It can't be easy to have the constant fear though xx

Lolly2803 · 07/02/2017 13:03

No it's really not! But long as they ok and staying in there I'll be alright.
I'm totally fine today! So strange but there we go. One of those things.

Can't wait to feel a big hard kick!!! Or two!! By the looks of it they are already kicking and poking each other!! Who's next up for a scan? Is it me? xxxx

OP posts:
Mrscrabtree · 07/02/2017 17:37

I think you're next Lolly. Mine's not til next Friday even tho I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. Still bleeding Sad but trying to remain calm given that I've been checked out twice in the last week and everything was ok. It's hard tho isn't it.

Must be so exciting to have bumps and maybe even feel movement Shock x
