Thanks guys. I'm counting down the hours now. Boobs have stopped hurting now too just to give me yet more to worry about!!

Lolly idk about your personal situation re progesterone or if you have especially low levels but I'd echo what the others say - mine wasn't tested and the clinic told me to stop cyclogest straight after the 7 week scan. They also said most of the evidence suggests it's fine to stop straight after a positive test but they are cautious. So I am feeling confident for you you'll be fine with the boosters. Of course it's easy to worry though, I know that well!!

Mistletoe I hear you on the waiting, it's pure agony. Hang on in there - I have limited other advice! How have you been feeling physically?

Bear hope you're doing well? and Raffles and elles you too xxx

mistletoeprickles · 25/01/2017 08:37

Thanks lolly. We had every intention has having a scan around 9/10 weeks but time just ran away. We have a midwife appointment on the 2nd of march where she'll listen to the heartbeat, I plan to book a private scan very close to that appointment.

mrscrabb boobs not hurting doesn't always mean bad things. As hormones change things like that will too. Mine only hurt in the morning now or when I've had a bra on all day (which is rare). Physically I'm not bad, was very sick again this morning. It's like my body tells me off for getting up too quick and everything is so tight now but not buying anything until after Monday!

Blueroses99 · 25/01/2017 08:59

Good luck today MrsCrab, hope the scan provides reassurance.

Misteltoe scanxiety is normal I'm afraid and I'm sure it'll feel like time is dragging until Monday. Keeping busy sounds like the best idea though!

Lolly I'm glad your scan went well! Don't worry about progesterone, you're staying on Cyclogest which is more than most and it really makes the biggest difference in the first trimester. Hope you had fun buying new clothes. I haven't been able to wear my jeans since 7w (in the last pregnancy!) so I've got a good stock of floaty dresses to see me through. Mostly non-maternity but the handful of maternity dresses I have are actually more comfortable as they have more give on the arms, bust etc.

Hi Bear, Elles, Raffles and everyone else. Hope you're doing ok.

I had my 12 scan and all is looking good so far. I did my nuchal bloods and found out I can do the Harmony at a reduced cost through NHS (£300) so I decided to go for it. The pre-assessment was also fine. I've been invited to participate in a study to determine which stitch material is most effective. There's a choice of 2 and if I don't participate, the consultant will choose (he says he doesn't have a preference) if I do participate, the study will randomly assign one. Not sure what to do. Also I will have to switch back to Cyclogest in the back door. Can't have a surgical procedure through the front door if the gunk is blocking the front iyswim! The counselling assessment was with a midwife coincidentally so she understood what I have been through. The fees are based on what you can afford - suggested £1 per £1000 earned- but I'm not going to be paid for much of this year so I low balled, I feel really bad though Blush

Bear2014 · 25/01/2017 09:21

Hi everyone, hope all is well.

Lolly hope you're feeling a bit calmer today and can enjoy telling more people.

Blue great news about scan! Sounds like you've got a lot to think about but I def wouldn't worry about not paying out a load of money - you might barely work for the rest of the year, and next!

Mrscrab really hope the scan goes well today xx

I can't wait to buy some new clothes - scan is on pay day so all being well it's good timing. Most of my maternity clothes went in the bin after DD because they were so stretched and worn out. I've got nothing to wear, and feel like the fact I've worn the same clothes since before Christmas is the biggest giveaway, if people are observant enough to notice, obvs.

Lolly2803 · 25/01/2017 09:32

Hey Blue, all sounds super positive. How they expect you to choose a material though?! I wouldn't have a clue! I do cyclogest via the back door and have never had any issues. Glad the counselling session went well and the midwife was supportive. Hope you're feeling less anxious now.
I had my NIPT already but they still did the Nuchal measurements and took my bloods.
Just bought a few things to tide me over and it was fun. Worried a bit but don't think that'll ever go! Xxx

OP posts:
Blueroses99 · 25/01/2017 12:29

No they are not expecting me to choose the material but to choose whether to participate in the study and be randomly assigned a material or let the consultant decide!

I'm worried about more rectal bleeding with the Cyclogest but it's the lesser problem so I'll have to deal with it.

That's convenient Bear, shopping on payday! What date is your next scan?

Lolly no the worry doesn't go, we can only envy those women that seem to breeze through pregnancy- but actually you never know what's going in behind the scenes so maybe we just need to fake it until we make it!

Bear2014 · 25/01/2017 12:43

Was your rectal bleeding bad with the Cyclogest, Blue? Mine only flares up when I get constipated so I've been militant about drinking water and eating loads of fibre. It's definitely helped and I went back to using the back door after only a couple of pessaries.

I would go with whatever option is going to cause you the least stress re: the stitch to be honest. It's such an emotive thing for you, I'm sure they can find plenty of participants if you're not comfortable with it.

Scan is on the 31st, and so is payday. 6 days to go! xx

Lolly2803 · 25/01/2017 14:41

Not long to wait Bear!! Eeek!!! So exciting.
Blue I agree with Bear about the stitch, go with what you feel most comfortable with. Anything to keep your worry and anxiety down!

I can't even start counting down to my next official scan as it's so far away. I am going to book one for the 10th Feb to keep me sane!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 25/01/2017 15:19

Yay for the private scans Lolly - it's a bit addictive isn't it. So you don't have an NHS one at all to bridge the gap between 12 and 20? I'm surprised by that with twins for some reason, I thought you would get more. Or is that only later to monitor the growth?

Lolly2803 · 25/01/2017 15:37

Yay! So I have a meeting with the consultant on 8th Feb but not sure I'll see the babies then. Then nothing till 20wk scan which is 9th March. After that I think it ramps up a lot.
I can't go till then without seeing them so 10th Feb I'm going to try book another scan for. My scanxiety can't cope and DH said anything to relax me and I could have as many as I wanted bless him. xxx

Bear2014 · 25/01/2017 15:39

Yes I think the OHs are quite happily paying whatever to shut us up ;o) xx

mistletoeprickles · 25/01/2017 16:12

Aaaaahhhhhhh is all I have to say. I've picked DD up from school to be greeted with "I don't want you, I want daddy" and she has a serious attitude on her.

Are you sure your ready for this ladies Grin Just kidding, I love her dearly buy she knows how to push my buttons!

bear so yours is the day after mine Smile I'm ready for an official due date now. I know when I ovulated but they've changed the date every scan so far. The midwife said that's because it's hard to measure when it's a blob and so small.

The nhs waiting times between scans is a long time; ill definitely have a private one between them though

Bear2014 · 25/01/2017 16:15

Mistletoe - nice to see it never gets better ha ha ha. The term Threenager is very apt in our house, with the attitude.

Yes, roll on next week! This month has truly been the longest and slowest EVER xx

Bear2014 · 25/01/2017 16:30

My hospital does a 22 week scan, so that's a whopping 10 weeks between scans! No way am I waiting that long.

kezmarie · 25/01/2017 16:40

Hello ladies 😘
Sorry I've been quiet but I've been lurking keeping an eye on you all!!
I also had my 12+6 scan yesterday, all looks fab! 😊

Summer Babies for the Sub-Fertile
Blueroses99 · 25/01/2017 16:43

That's great Kez, glad you're doing welll.

I have a consultant appointment at 17w and my 20w scan booked for 21 March.

mistletoeprickles · 25/01/2017 16:49

bear It does get better then the school attitude kicks in. It doesn't help she's got this horrible cough so isn't sleeping properly. DP rang her and had words aka bribed her but ill take it today.

I wish I knew all these appointments so far in advance. All I know is I have to have the glucose tolerance test at 22 weeks and will the consultant around then too.

Lovely pic kez

5 sleeps to go 5 sleeps till scan day!

Mrscrabtree · 25/01/2017 18:32

Nice one Kez, that's great news!
Mistletoe good to know they'll never stop keeping us on our toes!
Blue if the consultant genuinely has no preference maybe just go in for the trial? You'll be helping women in future which might be a nice feeling especially after what you've been through. But obv if you have a preference then just go for whatever makes you feel safest, of course!

Guys I had my scan and despite having all kinds of weird stabbing pains and cramps all day baby is still looking fine. We actually saw it wriggling around which was incredible and genuinely something I never thought I'd see. And we could see fingers and toes and a face too. We could also see the bleed but the sonography said it looked like it was healing up and wasn't near the placenta so not to worry.

Thank you for bearing with me as I was losing it and for your support. I am feeling positive this evening - Im sure it won't last long though!! My next scan isn't until 13+2 in over 3 weeks!! Shock Lolly and bear I don't blame you for booking extra in at all!

Lolly2803 · 25/01/2017 18:50

Wahoo!!!! Well done MrsCrab!! I've been thinking of you for the past two hours hoping it was all ok. Ah so glad you saw baby and glad to hear we have another lively one on the thread. Hopefully you can relax a bit now although I know that's likely impossible but maybe just a tad!

I've received a card today with all my appointment dates and times on! I was only there yesterday!! I'm still getting the odd dribble of brown. When I say dribble I mean dot and it's more like mucus tinged. Guess it's still old stuff from my scare. Nothing when i wipe though...trying not to worry.

Eek so who's scan is up next? xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 25/01/2017 19:33

Aaaah kez and mrscrab - such fantastic news!! Really pleased for you both.

Not surprising we're all nervous wrecks after what we've been through xx

kezmarie · 25/01/2017 20:01

Thanks all, glad to see you're all getting on ok too....
Bear I know what you mean about being a nervous wreck.....
Though after seeing the little peach wriggle around yesterday, it just hit me that I might, just might get a baby at the end of all this !!!

Lolly2803 · 26/01/2017 08:59

It's comforting to hear everyone else is as anxious isn't it! Makes me feel less like a crazy person!!

Who's is the next scan? How's everyone doing today? It's freezing!!!!

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 26/01/2017 09:17

We're all allowed to worry especially with everything everyone has been through.

I think I might be next on the scan front? I'm Monday

Lolly2803 · 26/01/2017 09:47

Wahoo! Yep I think it is you Mistletoe. Not too long to wait now how are you feeling? xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 26/01/2017 09:55

Yep it's Mistletoe first them me on Tues. EEEEK! So bloody impatient. I'm freaking out again as I somehow feel less pregnant today. I am a ridiculous person :oD
