Hi ladies, all went really well at the scan. Babies measuring well and looking great! They were very naughty though and everything took twice as long as they were moving and jumping and one was doing a headstand! Even the lady was laughing saying they were naughty! Got some lovely pics too.

Hope everyone else is doing well. xxx

Whoop! God it's so exciting. You must really need those new clothes. I'm pretty desperate too, will get shopping next week if all ok, thankfully will have been paid by then too! xx

Mrscrabtree · 24/01/2017 15:29

Awesome news lolly! So so happy for you xx

Lolly2803 · 24/01/2017 18:10

Thank you! Clinic just called and said I can carry on reducing my oestrogen tablets and patches but need to keep my progesterone up for another week as it had dropped a little.
Do you think I should be worried? xxx

OP posts:
ellesbellesxxx · 24/01/2017 18:47

Ahhh I wouldn't worry my lovely.. it's good they are still checking! I haven't taken progesterone since 9 weeks and I don't think they have tested me so maybe they are just cautious? The placentas should be taking over soon so it sounds like a precaution?
So so pleased it went so well! One hurdle down!!!! Xx

Lolly2803 · 24/01/2017 18:55

Yer all went well with the scan. Next appointment is 9th Feb with the consultant.

The clinic said my progesterone had dropped a bit which is why they don't want me to reduce any further for another week. I was on 4 cyclogest a day and now 3. And 1 prontogest injection every day and now every other day. So I'll stay on that till Monday when I'll have another blood test.

I just know how important progesterone is! If they were worried they would have asked me to increase right? xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 24/01/2017 18:59

I wouldn't worry either. No one cares about my progesterone levels, they have literally never been tested. It's all just safety net xx

Lolly2803 · 24/01/2017 19:04

Maybe yours were ok to begin with? Mine dropped before ET and almost cancelled it! Then they doubled my cyclogest and introduced the injections. Argh hope it's ok.
Always something to think about!! xx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 24/01/2017 19:08

Never been tested at any stage of any treatment ever! I think some clinics are just more cautious which can't hurt xx

Lolly2803 · 24/01/2017 19:14

Really?! Wow it's amazing how places differ so much. Although now I think about it one of the nurses did say to me that at her last clinic they never checked it either.

Well hopefully I'm just worrying about nothing! I'm sure if they were worried they would have got me to up my dose back....or that's what I'm telling myself! xx

ellesbellesxxx · 24/01/2017 19:17

I don't think mine has been checked since before our first consultant appt :) totally always something to worry about! X

Bear2014 · 24/01/2017 19:33

There will indeed always be something to worry about. It's nice to know that everything under the sun is being monitored in a way but it can also be more stressful xx

Lolly2803 · 24/01/2017 20:05

Yer def!! Now I keep thinking oh dear what if it drops and then it all goes wrong and we've told everyone!!! Arghh!!!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 24/01/2017 20:20

It's hard but I would just do what your clinic says and try and put it out of your mind. This is the part where you start really enjoying it Wink xx

Lolly2803 · 24/01/2017 20:24

I know I should and I did start but I just can't help but worry. I remember before ET literally 2 or 3 days before I started having cramps and spotting. They then called me at 7pm telling me my progesterone was low and I had to come in to the clinic right away for an injection. They then did a blood test the next evening to check ET could go ahead - it did. But they doubled my dose and added the injections and I dunno I think this has just scarred me!
I know progesterone means lining and I'm used to those issues so just super conscious! Need a slap!!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 24/01/2017 20:44

So understandable, really. But you're still on progesterone so it won't drop too far. Your body will be making enough to sustain the pregnancy, but clinic levels are probably excessive compared to that. Your lining isn't going anywhere at this stage xx

Lolly2803 · 24/01/2017 20:55

Thanks Bear. I feel better already! Having a few cramps tonight, but also nausea!!

MrsCrab, hope you're feeling ok. Sending you positive vibes and a big hug for tomorrow xxx

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 25/01/2017 07:33

lolly you've proved that cramps are a good thing and those babies are cooking well. I wouldn't worry about the progestrone. Like others mine has never been tested but I was given cyclocest to help.

Mrscrabb it's your turn to be scanned today isn't it? Thinking of you Brew

I had a bit of a negative day yesterday. I spent all day stressing. As the scan is getting closer I'm getting more aniexty but that's because I haven't seen the baby since 7 weeks so I'm terrified. I have a busy weekend ahead so hopefully that'll take my mind of it for a bit. Scan isn't until 4pm on Monday though so could be a long day!

Lolly2803 · 25/01/2017 08:09

Aw Mistletoe you've done so well to hold out! I'm sure everything is absolutely fine though. All the signs have been good so try not to worry (she says being a worry well herself). I am already planning when to have my next private scan. I can't wait until 20 weeks that's for sure! Am thinking 16/17 weeks.

MrsCrab how are you feeling today? We're all thinking of you.

Blue how did you get on yesterday? Hope everything is ok?

Morning Bear!! xxxx
