Well I'm going in shortly. Been contracting for the past hour and labour line want me in for monitoring - just waiting for parents to get here for DD Confused

Iusuallylovecake · 07/03/2017 21:33

Good luck Womble!!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2017 21:44

Exciting stuff womble. Thinking of you x

ChristmasSeacow · 07/03/2017 23:43

Ooh exciting Womble! Will keep everything crossed for you, hope it is the real thing and not a false alarm, and that you have a smooth ride Flowers

Womble75 · 08/03/2017 03:24

He's here. Born at 2.26. Bit intense. He's in SIBU as he pooed and needs his oxygen up.
No choice but to have G&A
Will update more later. Bit shell shocked 😳

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2017 07:07

💙💐💙 congrats womble. Tho sounds tad scary with general and in scbu but sounds like he is in good hands

Hope you got some rest and can have cuddles this morning x

ChristmasSeacow · 08/03/2017 08:10

Great news Womble, hoping you both bounce back well. Is he a good weight and otherwise doing well?

I though G&A was gas and air? Or was it a general anaesthetic?

Anyway, look after yourself and we'll look forward to an update when you're ready x

Womble75 · 08/03/2017 08:10

Thanks Blondes. Meant to say it was gas and air not a general. No time for anything else. Still can't believe how quick it all happened.
He's still on a ventilator but doing better. He was covered in meconium and had pooed awhile back and aspirated some on arrival.
Was a bit shocked also. Hoping he will be off ventilator later. DH just popped down to see him.
Still can't believe I was cooking pasta bake at 7.30 and had a baby by 2am. It's all a bit surreal. We will be here a few days at least.
I managed one very quick cuddle before he was whisked downstairs. Excuse the tears I was a bit emotional!
Please meet Reuben.

Awwww he's scrummy. Congrats again. What weight?

Sorry I assumed ga was general. Gas and air sounds better

And amazingly fast !!! So hope bubs will be the same but have visions of being induced and nothing happening for hours

Glad you had a cuddle. Try and sleep while Reuben is in incubator

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2017 08:26

ventilator

Bloopbleep · 08/03/2017 09:24

Congratulations womble! He's beautiful!

Bloopbleep · 08/03/2017 09:25

I should update baby's heartbeat was heard but he still wasn't for moving until last night. They're concerned about my liver so I'm waiting for blood test results for OC

Womble75 · 08/03/2017 09:34

He was 7lb8oz.
Still on ventilator. They have given me a private room as he's in neo natal. Waiting to see DR and also nurse to try and express some milk for him. I tried to rest but it's really hard! Anyway least I won't have to spend all day in DAU today!!
Bit sore but ok. More shell shocked than anything!!

mightymouse76 · 08/03/2017 09:43

I go off grid for a few days and there's a baby!!! Congratulations and well done womble- really thrilled for you. It sounds like a crazy ride but great you're both in good care.

Bloop- sorry to hear this. When will you get your results?

I'm in the waiting room mid GTT after my 28w scan last week showed too much amniotic fluid.
He's not an oversize baby (yet) but it gives him more chance of getting compromised with cord, being breech, etc.

My placenta is still obstructing my cervix anyway so doubt a VB will be recommended. I know it can move in the last few weeks but the sonographer seemed to think it would have moved further by now if it was going to. If the GD is confirmed, I would have thought that would seal the deal?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2017 12:20

Mighty - my placenta moved and isn't over cervix now. They said they would check at 37w and decide then whether to cs (next week) but moved few weeks ago

Bloop. Not good. Hope liver results perk up

Womble. Nice to have own room. Lovely weight x

Gizmojo · 08/03/2017 14:07

Ohhh, congratulations, Womble! Gosh, that all happened very quickly, bet you are a bit shell-shocked. Well done and hope he's off the ventilator soon x

Bloop am keeping my fingers crossed for your blood test results.

Mightymouse how was the gtt?

cake good on you for getting to the aqua natal classes. There's nothing like that around here, just yoga/Pilates which I don't really get on with when not pregnant, so...

Blondes are you still waiting to hear whether it's a cs then or is it definitely not now placenta has moved?

ChristmasSeacow · 08/03/2017 17:18

Ah lovely Reuben. That's a good weight too. Hope he makes good progress.

I have my GTT tomorrow - slightly apprehensive as I have been eating quite badly!

Iusuallylovecake · 08/03/2017 17:56

Congratulations womble, he's gorgeous! Hope you're feeling OK too!
Bloop hope blood tests are OK, are results due asap?
I've got gtt in a couple of weeks, not to keen either!!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2017 19:44

gizmojo def moved and unless has moved back on Mondays scan then will be induced and try natural

I'm still convinced my cervix won't dilate as had 4 cervical dilations in the past 4yrs so think they said if after being induced and not dilated enough by 36hrs they will do a cs or then risk of infection being in labour that long

Teaspoon74 · 09/03/2017 17:20

Wow - congratulations Womble!! Beautiful. Sure I'm not the only one to get teary looking at the pair of you. So glad you're both ok!!

Christmas & Cake - hope your GTTs are ok. Fwiw I started back on chocolate a few weeks before mine (after being off it for 2.5 years!) and have been eating pretty crappily too (on basis that with sickness I just need to keep something down!) and mine was fine. Sure yours will be too!!

Blondes - sounds good that it's moved. Is that a weight off?

Mighty - how are you doing? Was GTT ok?

Bloop - hope you're ok. When will you know about the liver tests?

Blondes- bet you can't wait! Am not just over the 30wk mark and have had enough ;). Realised this morning I'm struggling to get my bump in and out of our shower without a tiny squeeze. Got knows what another8-10 wks will do!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/03/2017 17:55

@teaspoon it get harder

I haven't been able to put socks on last 6ish weeks and not struggling with knickers and literally can't lift my foot into them

More tho coz of my fluid legs now medically called edema

I struggle with stairs as ankle doesn't bend easily

Also gave me fright as no mivements this am and blinding headache - which I still have - and added that to my fat tree trunk legs thought might be pre eclampsia - tho bp is fine so not

Baby plugged in and all fine. Little bugger yet again

And course kicking madly now .....

Teaspoon74 · 09/03/2017 17:58

Oh blondes - want to just give you a big hug!!! All worth it in the end no doubt,

Teaspoon74 · 09/03/2017 17:59

Oopsy - sent that last one too quickly!!
*
Blondes*- was just going to add that hope you can get through the next few days and good luck!! Flowers

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/03/2017 20:35

Thank you. Will be all worth it to have bubs in my arms and be a mummy 👶🏼💓👶🏼

But hasn't been an easy preg with hg - injecting daily - risk of dvt and now swollen legs

3w today or less I will be a mummy

Womble75 · 09/03/2017 22:42

Blondes it will all be worth it I promise you! You are on the home straight now Smile
Sorry for the lack of update been a mad few days. Reuben still in neo Natal but they have taken him off the ventilator a few hours ago (he was trying to do it himself!) and his tummy line is out and I've actually got to see his face and eyes for the first time.
I'm off back down in a minute to sit with him for a bit. Just been expressing. They let me do some of his care today so I didn't feel so useless.
His stats are getting better and he's turned out to be a feisty little one which I'm told is a good thing.
I've posted 2 pictures, one was this morning and the other was a few hours ago so you can see how much better he looks.
Hope everyone is doing well.
I'm doing ok, feel much better today, still a bit tender but got 5 hours sleep last night and felt a bit more human. Been a whirlwind of emotions and feels so much longer than 48 hours. Like being in a bubble!
I'll miss posting on here so may lurk for a bit as you guys have been ace with support and having someone to chat to.
Any questions fire away - I have time on my hands lol.
Top tip - Kotex nightime pads are amazing and make sure you ask for lactolose post natally and eat lots of fruit post birth - makes the dreaded first poo sooo much easier 😀
