I just started reading the lyrics to Cat Stevens' 'Father and Son' and nearly started crying. I had the same experience in early pregnancy while telling someone about how we used to sing 'Streets of London' at school. Oh, and buskers are making me well up at the minute too!

The funniest one has been the end to the Lil Wayne video 'How to Love' () A pregnant woman goes to the doctor for a pregnancy test and when she gets a positive result she says to her mum 'Thanks for teaching me how to love' - so cheesy but it set me off!

What has got your eyes watering?

Disney's Up. I maintain that the beginning of that film is one of the most heartbreaking things ever.

I cried at seeing an old man slowly and quietly packimg away his small grocery shop in Aldi. I just remember thinking he was reaching the end of his life and that he once was a baby with a mum who cuddled him and nursed him Blush it sounds quite condensending now but it really gave me pause for thought. But yes, the hormones played their part!

I cried today because I might be having a CS later today and the midwife won't feed or water me until I've seen the doctor!

I totally understand why they won't allow it I just want a brew :(

I cried earlier on when I dropped my bagel philly side down onto the carpet Angry

Both me and DH cried at Up.. neither of us were pregnant at the time though Grin

iamdivergent · 03/04/2016 16:05

Up destroyed me, I wasn't pregnant either. Even DH had 'something in his eye' at the start

Chickpeachick0 · 03/04/2016 16:09

8 months pregnant , stood behind an old farmer in a deli , buying lots of lovely pies / cakes . He said to lady serving , I guess if no one turns up the pigs can eat it all . Instant blubbing , upset me all afternoon !

That Nationwide advert with the 'best dad' scarf that gets left behind on the bus. It's the most ridiculous premise ever (woman who works at Nationwide finds scarf and tracks down owner because Nationwide care about their customers??!!) but it makes me weep.

Also watching Scandal last night and realising how broken and damaged the characters are. I texted my friend to say this and she replied 'you know they're not real people, though?' Hmm

First child: cried in my lunch break because the corner shop only had raspberry yoghurt and I needed strawberry. Sobbed at my desk until the Accounts Manager put a big strawberry yogurt in front of me that he had bought just for me from the supermarket then backed out of my office quickly
Second Child: everything. I was a mess for 9 months.
Third Child: when DH had his vasectomy. Not because it ended my child bearing days, but because he had to wear tight cricket undies instead of his usual shorts and I felt sorry for him Confused

Mummyoftwo91 · 03/04/2016 21:04

A monkey on an advert lol

iamdivergent · 03/04/2016 21:15

coppergrey that nationwide advert is a killer. Just lost fil recently and DH now can't watch this advert Sad

Sophia1984 · 03/04/2016 22:37

I know coppergrey! Surely if she really cared she would hand it in to the bus company lost property and the dad would track it down there Hmm

The Lloyds bank ad with the piano version of 'Mad World' 😭 Every. Time.

magnificatAnimaMea · 04/04/2016 05:20

Just remember all this when your kid is at the toddler stage...

"... and the reason my toddler is crying this paricular hour is..." Grin

Littleredhead1983 · 04/04/2016 09:21

I cried yesterday watching Snow White because I felt so sorry for the dwarves after she eats the apple and "dies". Even though I know the ending my heart just broke for those little guys...

Sophia1984 · 05/04/2016 08:09

I just cried hysterically because I got awoken suddenly by an effing delivery driver thinking 7.30am is an acceptable time to phone a sleepless pregnant lady to check the address (ok, so he didn't know the sleepless or pregnant bit..) The phone gave me such a shock and I also always assume early morning phone calls are bad news..

Things that made me well up today: a kestrel hovering by the side of the motorway; that little lass singing 'Defying Gravity' on Britain's Got Talent..

I was being taken to hospital as I was having contractions and very ill. I thought that if I fought with my OH, I wouldn't have to go (had ecoli and septecemia with very high temp, delusional and hallucinating)

I couldn't get my boots on, so I cried loads.

Then I stropped and through my boot at my oh but it missed and went down the stairs. Cried again.

Then cried from home to the hospital in my dads car because I couldn't keep my kicking bump.

Yeah...

Mslg · 09/04/2016 21:51

Bahaha another one here for the 12 year old singing on BGT 😭😂

TooShyShyHushHush · 09/04/2016 22:23

I cried because I couldn't make a pattern out of m&ms with the odd numbers of certain colours I had.

I cried because one of my favourite pair of clothes pegs pinged apart so I couldn't ever use it's partner as they were the remaining pair from that set and I couldn't use mismatched pegs. (still can't...)

I cried because my new cereal bowls weren't big enough to lay two weetabix flat.

I cried because DS was laying to one side and it made the pattern on my shirt look uneven.

I was heading for full blown OCD by the time DS was born I think.

When the chip shop closed. I sat in my car and bawled. Grin

The Lloyds advert with the horse. The grand national yesterday with the horse running without the jockey.
Being hungry and tired.
Seeing an old lady in the hospital and her carer ignoring her.
Dogs looking happy.
Imagining when my babies are born and they cry for the first time (I'm having identical twins)
