I just started reading the lyrics to Cat Stevens' 'Father and Son' and nearly started crying. I had the same experience in early pregnancy while telling someone about how we used to sing 'Streets of London' at school. Oh, and buskers are making me well up at the minute too!

The funniest one has been the end to the Lil Wayne video 'How to Love' () A pregnant woman goes to the doctor for a pregnancy test and when she gets a positive result she says to her mum 'Thanks for teaching me how to love' - so cheesy but it set me off!

What has got your eyes watering?

I just cried at tiggywinkler's post above... Blush

Gordon Brown's resignation speech? That is hilarious!!

TheGreaterGood · 01/04/2016 10:55

When someone offered me a seat on the train yesterday

When DH gave me a big Lindt bunny and a baby one for Easter. Still can't eat the baby one, and I LOVE Lindt chocolate.

I cry all the time!!

Some of the most irrational reasons include..

  1. I couldn't get my own socks on and my OH had to help dress me.
  1. There wasn't enough milk left for my cereal
  1. My snake couldn't be fed on the day I usually feed him because we were going out with friends. In the end I cancelled my friends and the snake didn't eat anyway!

Got to love these hormones!

At the IKEA advert where the t-shirts are flying.

I was laughing hysterically while driving to work at a podcast I've heard a million times, then started crying; ended up with a nosebleed!

I was holding my sister's cat and my dad came over and said "boo!" The cat jumped down. Cue me bursting into tears and my dad feeling incredibly guilty(/bewildered)

At a Bob Dylan song I had never heard before, Tangled Up In Blue. It's not even that sad. I had to walk to work in floods of tears from where I park my car as I couldn't stop crying, every time I thought about it the tears would pour!

Last week I cried (great big snotty snivelling sobs) after I got my computer passcode at work wrong three times and my account was locked. I pulled myself together only to cry again when people were lovely while they were helping me sort it out.

2 years ago with my first I foolishly watche 'Up' while pregnant. I know everyone cries in up but I cried throughout the film, again in bed when I thought about it and again the next afternoon when I couldn't stop thinking about it!

Scattymere · 01/04/2016 13:15

I indulged my naughty craving for MaccyDs and went to a drive thru- only to get home and find my Mcflurry was the wrong flavour and my chips were soggy, so started crying. For all of 2 minutes until I realised how ridiculous I was being.

Not crying over something silly but was in absolute hysterics during last nights "DIY SOS Big Build" and the gorgeous little boy Noah, did anyone else see it?

LittleLionMansMummy · 01/04/2016 13:19

I know butterfly - I didn't even like him! I think it was the fact that he got all emotional when he mentioned his family. A rare display of emotion from prompted a full hormonal outburst from me!

superwormissuperstrong · 01/04/2016 13:23

Just had full on sobs watching cbeebies with DS - 'my first' was about getting a baby brother and all i could think about is that's going to be us in a couple of months

CointreauVersial · 01/04/2016 13:30

When I went to buy an ice-cream at a music festival, and the kiosk was closed.

In fairness, it was a roasting hot day, I was seven months pregnant, everyone else was pissed, and I had been looking forward to a nice, cooling ice-cream for ages.

But luckily for me, the owner took pity on me, and opened up the kiosk just for me. Or perhaps it wasn't pity, it was terror!! Grin

delilabell · 01/04/2016 13:43

join I was just coming on to say peter rabbit! I sobbed at it. Beautiful story. Ds looked at me like this: Hmm

ifigoup · 01/04/2016 13:47

When I got to the bus stop just as the bus doors had closed and the driver refused to open them again.

When the decorator arrived and my DH greeted him matily.

When I remembered a dream about not knowing what temperature to wash the (unborn) baby's bedding on.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/04/2016 13:50

The john lewis ad 2012 'please let me get what I want' when I was desperate for a boy (I got it!.) Tesco being sold out of tuna sandwiches (very early in ds2 pregnancy when starving with hg).

ninecoronas · 01/04/2016 14:07

I'm crying with laughter at the sad cow, Emma's Diary and Gordon Brown!

Although earlier today my lip was quivering like a kid who's dropped their icecream...because I couldn't open a spreadsheet.

bippitybopityboo · 01/04/2016 14:20

Had a total emotional break down when the stuffed beanie baby I've had since I was little got a split in it.
It's stitched up now but it was honestly the end of the world. I was inconsolable 😂

owl89 · 01/04/2016 14:21

I went to Matalan and couldn't find a bra that fit me. I stood and cried in the middle of the store Grin

TheOnlyColditz · 01/04/2016 14:25

My new sofa
My old sofa
The cheese being in the wrong place
The washing up
Ds1 hugging me

I was a pathetic leaking mess.

LittleLionMansMummy · 01/04/2016 15:28

ninecoronas I now have an image of you as the boy who drops his ice-cream at the beginning of Despicable Me, who Mr Gru makes a balloon animal for... and then bursts it. That bit cracks me up every time, but I'm fairly sure there will be hormonal days when I'd cry in sympathy with him!

KayTee87 · 01/04/2016 17:54

My first trimester was terrible so so exhausted and nauseous and sick...
One night when I was in bed with my husband I started crying because 'I'm just soooo tired' my husband looked at me like I was mental and said 'well go to sleep then'

He just didn't understand Grin

KayTee87 · 01/04/2016 17:58

Oh and last weekend we had a few errands to run so we were just grabbing breakfast on the go (bacon rolls) from a cafe. I got to the car and they had put ketchup on it. I didn't ask for ketchup!! Then cried about how hungry I was but refused to go back into the shop to ask for a new one...
Think my husbands starting to think Im a bit bonkers

houseeveryweekend · 01/04/2016 18:11

Once during my pregnancy I started sobbing on a busy street in broad daylight because I saw mine and my OHs shadows on the pavement and thought 'one day hell be dead and ill never see his shadow on the ground again'.. I had to sit on a wall for ten mins to calm down... at least I knew why I was crying on that occasion haha

houseeveryweekend · 01/04/2016 18:13

Oh my days and hes just reminded me about the time when he ordered pizza for us and when it came there was no can of coke like id odered and I went absolutely mental and threw the whole pizza in the bin and went to bed crying. I stayed in bed crying for two hours then got up and made him order a whole new takeaway. Which he did because hes a legend.

pod100 · 01/04/2016 18:29

Because I bought a bag of apples from asda and 2 days later they all turned out to be really bruised

TangerineTrees · 01/04/2016 21:04

I cried because of how cute my cat was

Miffy1979 · 01/04/2016 23:40

I cried because DH made me a cup of tea, but put it in the wrong mug Blush it was my special wee danger mouse one that I use for coffee and I wanted a big mug of tea.
Also at finding a dead bird in the garage. Utter hysterics over that.
