Lillian I hope Monday goes well. Lynsey that's so cute!

And thanks everyone for the hand holding. Since I posted, the nausea has been coming and going. With my MC, I started spotting around week five, so if I get to week 6 this time, I'm hoping I'll start to feel a bit calmer. So hard not to compare symptoms with my failed pg and my successful one, but obviously they might all be different.

Northernlight22 · 28/02/2016 07:53

My symptoms definitely come and go, im quite glad to feel rough as it keeps me sane knowing I'm still getting the hormone hit!!

Bowserlovesmojitos · 28/02/2016 08:18

Lynsey That is adorable! Nothing like some furbabies for distraction and cuddles!

obsessedlex · 28/02/2016 18:07

Ditto northern my only comfort at the times of nausea is constantly reminding my oh how awful I feel!!
We need some pics of the fur babies lyndsey how adorable, congrats Mama xx

OTheHugeManatee · 28/02/2016 18:53

Hi all! Sorry I'vebeen absent for a while, other life sort of took over! Just wanted to let you all know that I'm 13 weeks now, had my dating scan last week and saw the little bean wiggling around and all seems well. So relieved - we've started telling people and I'm finally relaxing a bit Smile

LynseyH5 · 28/02/2016 20:15

Just for you obessedlex and anyone else who needs a pick me up!
It's definitely been a distraction bowser! As this is a human pregnancy thread, I won't be inundating you all lol, it's just been something nice to happen and thought it's something nice to share :-)

Hi manatee - great news about your scan!! We're about the same stage then - I'm 13 weeks tomorrow Smile

Lucinda15 · 29/02/2016 06:53

lynsey they are lovely! Thanks for the pic, put a smile on my face.

I am 6+6 today and have had hardly any symptoms so far which has been disconcerting. But for the last 3 days I have felt exhausted. Thought initially it was due to busy schedule over the wknd but woke up this morning after a good long nights sleep feeling as tho I barely shut my eyes. Suspect pregnancy symptoms kicking in. Relieved, but, my goodness - so tired!! Almost tempted to call in sick just to catch up on sleep lol!

Reassurance scan in 8 days - can't wait!! Can't come soon enough.

How is everyone else doing? Any scans today? X

LillianFullStop · 29/02/2016 08:43

Awww that's so cute lynsey thanks for sharing! I follow puppystagrams on Instagram for giggles - I love kittens and puppies :)

Feeling for those battling the nausea - I don't have it myself my appetite just comes and goes instead. But like you lucinda I get super tired - I literally could sleep at my desk if no would notice.

I've had some spotting since Thursday so I've booked a viability scan for today at 7+3 (based on LMP) but midwife thinks it's 7 because I have a 31 day cycle. Starting to feel anxious now 😳

LynseyH5 · 29/02/2016 10:13

Hope all goes as planned lillian I'm sure all will be fine, enjoy seeing little one!
I've had coloured discharge today, first time since my happy scan last week and it's made me feel right back to where I was :-( so frustrating. I still don't really have symptoms to speak of which in one way is great and makes life easier, but at same time I can't help but think is it because the hormones etc aren't strong enough. I keep in mind the thing I read, once you've seen the heartbeat, chance of mc are much lower but the worry just won't go!

Northernlight22 · 29/02/2016 11:16

Awwww cute cats :)

Northernlight22 · 29/02/2016 11:20

Lynsey sorry to hear you are having crappy thoughts again.

I'm stressing again a bit this week - follow up scan on Wednesday where we'll see what's happening with the twin. My symptoms have definitely changed these last few days and I'm terrified in case I go and find out I've lost both. Wish I could fast forward!!

LynseyH5 · 29/02/2016 13:19

Aw I wish we all had remotes for fast forward and to pause sometimes so we could just enjoy the moment.
Really hope all is well on Wednesday, can't imagine how you must be feeling. My scans were both Wednesdays and jeez the first half of the week was a nightmare!
What are your symptoms like now? X

Turi1983 · 29/02/2016 14:31

I’m feel like crying today – just feel so unwell – sick all the time, being sick in the evenings (generally in the middle of the night), throat infection, broken blood vessels on my face/neck from being sick and horrible phlegmy cough. Finding it hard to be upbeat and positive.

I received a letter from Kingston hospital – my booking in appointment is this Saturday and my dating scan is Saturday 26 March when I’ll be just 13 weeks. I’ve booked another private scan for Friday 11, when I’ll be 11 weeks. I find they’re keeping me sane (and broke!)

Sorry to hear that there has been a weekend of worries but, of course, completely understand. Lynsey I agree – a fast forward button would be VERY useful right now.

DorothyParker72 · 29/02/2016 14:47

Hi All, can I join too please?
I'm now nine weeks and have my second midwife appt this Weds (to take bloods/urine and book my first scan. Had a miscarriage last year at around 5/6 weeks (first pregnancy) and I'm 44 in April. Have nausea and sore boobs this time round which I'm taking as a positive sign (taking any I can get at the moment)!
Still concerned this one may go the same way and like many of you, I am wishing the weeks away.
Does anyone know if the midwife gives you a 12 week scan date at the appointment or if you have to wait to hear from the hospital afterwards?
Sending you all positive thoughts and lots of luck. :)

Turi1983 · 29/02/2016 15:59

Hi Dorothy

Welcome to the thread.

I received one letter from my hospital with dates for my booking in app and my dating scan. Not sure if this is the norm or not.

DorothyParker72 · 29/02/2016 16:12

Thanks Turi, I'll see what she says on Weds. The very best for your scan on Friday.

Backhometothenorth · 29/02/2016 16:20

Hi dorothy! Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy. I think the scan booking process is different depending on your area- I was handed my date at booking appt but know many others received letters.

Nice to have another 40something on board (I'll be 43 in a couple of weeks Confused)

DorothyParker72 · 29/02/2016 16:37

Thanks Backhometothenorth, Congratulations to you too!
Have you had your 12 week scan?

Backhometothenorth · 29/02/2016 16:47

Yes had scan last week and so far so good with the little one- we were over the moon to say the least! I'm thirteen weeks now and keeping everything crossed for a normal uneventful pregnancy xxx

DorothyParker72 · 29/02/2016 17:00

Backhometothenorth - fantastic news!
So pleased for you. xx

LynseyH5 · 29/02/2016 17:06

Aw turi big hugs for you. I found chewing minty gum helped when I had nausea in my previous pregnancies. I hope this part of it clears soon for you, there really is nothing worse than constant sickness.
Congratulations Dorothy! My hospital send 12 wk scan letter direct in the post so definitely depends on area.
I've had more spotting this afternoon, making me so unhappy. I know the outcome is so worth it but I hate this worrying time so much. If all goes well and this baby arrives as planned, definitely my last. Don't think I could mentally cope with these emotions again!!

DorothyParker72 · 29/02/2016 17:27

Thanks Lynsey, wishing you all the best.
The thing I've taken from these threads is that everyone is so helpful and supportive, in the face of so much worry. It's a big help. :)

LynseyH5 · 29/02/2016 17:37

Couldn't agree more, these threads have been the only thing to keep me sane the last few weeks. Partner is as helpful as a chocolate teapot!!

dobbythedoggy · 29/02/2016 17:56

turi sorry you're feeling so ill. Cry if you need to, I did lots feeling so rotten and worried and hormonal isn't a good combination. Have you spoken to anyone about your sickness? Or considered asking for meds or to be signed of sick if you're working so you can rest as much as possiable? I felt terriable about taking anti sickness meds when I managed to solider on through with dd when I was naturally more anxious anyway. But feeling exhausted makes sickness so much worse and harder to cope with.
Another throught is have you tired anti acids? It was around 8/9 weeks with dd I realised it was heartburn making me sick in the night. Gaviscon and Rennies are safe to take and a similar supermarket brands, tesco do an amazing extra strength heart burn tablet.

dorothy welcome, in my trust current policy is for the antinatal clinc at the hospital to call you once they have your details from the comunity midwife from the booking in appointment. But they previously did letters. Make sure to ask what happens next when you book in if an appointment isn't made there and then.

Sorry you're feeling worried again lynsey. Wish there was a fast forward button for all those long drawn out waits between mile stones and actually getting your baby in your arms.

39+5 today. Trying not to focus on the fact Wednesday is due date or read too much into every twinge or niggle as I just get grummpy when it comes to nothing. Booked to see my consultant on Friday to arrange a date for eviction, so focusing on that because that appointment will give me an actual end date.
