Congrats Cockles, how exciting!

economymode · 01/04/2016 18:46

Oh wow, cockles, double congratulations! I was a beginning to think I was expecting double trouble as I was feeling so exhausted and sick...but just one little heartbeat causing all this trouble. Hope you are celebrating!

CocklesandMussels · 01/04/2016 21:05

One heartbeat is good econony! Great that you have had some reassurance, fx that all continues to go well.

sundayraspberry · 01/04/2016 21:11

Glad your scan was ok after your scare economy and congratulations cockles! I've never seen a twin scan pic before, I'm not surprised you are in shock! x

Northernlight22 · 01/04/2016 21:33

Glad all was ok economy

Congrats cockles! Lovely news x

JoMalones · 01/04/2016 21:41

Congratulations Cockles!

Did anyone else keep testing on digitals? At 5+4 I'm still only 2-3w despite my hcg being 3969 on Tuesday. Confused and nervous again!

doleritedinosaur · 01/04/2016 21:52

Congratulations Cockles! & Economy on good scan photos.

I've not tested on digitally this time around JoMalones but I know they're quite unreliable about getting to 3+ it's really hard to not keep testing isn't it?

I did a pee test the other day & test line came up straight away darker than control line.
Had sickness again today so I took one of my leftover anti sickness tablets from last time & it knocked me out for 2 hours, been drowsy for hours. Stomach is killing me & not sure if symptom or bug but doesn't feel like a bug. Definitely feel in limbo.

Just 3 whole days before scan & partner's birthday tomorrow, feel bad as I've not been with it today & DS fell asleep before 6pm which never Happens & wanted to make a homemade card with him, so morning now hopefully!

Hope everyone is having a good Friday evening.

SodaChick · 01/04/2016 23:51

wow great news guys ..twins, how lovely :)

Very sorry to hear of the the pain some members are going through
have my first scan booked for thursday next week but sadly starting bleeding a little this morning
still staying very positive but tears are always just behind the reality that I may mc
I have a huge family and young children to care for so DH and I just hanging in there.
spoke to MW...not much I can do, live rurally, no sonographers within 2 hour drive on the weekend so without any other symptoms, have chosen to ride the wave and see what happens.

LillianFullStop · 02/04/2016 00:47

Congrats to economy and double congrats to cockles! Do twins run in the family?

fx soda that all will be well for Thursday

SouthDownsSunshine · 02/04/2016 07:09

Excellent news economy and wow cockles!

Hopefully nothing will come of the bleeding soda

I'm embracing every day of feeling rough and not bleeding. Long may it continue.

economymode · 02/04/2016 09:09

Feeling well and truly grotty this morning. Not sleeping well, feeling sick and on a very very go slow. Not sure how I'm going to cope at a party with a bunch of 5 year olds this afternoon. Hoping I'm feeling brighter by the end of the month for my son's birthday on May 1st. Had a horrible bug last year so missed celebrating then. Really don't want to miss it again!

soda hope you find some peace/keep distracted this weekend

Bowserlovesmojitos · 02/04/2016 09:53

Hi everyone! I've been lurking a bit as i've had an extremely chaotic few weeks with massive changes including an extremely short notice house move but i'm so pleased for everyone with good news Smile

For those with worrying or not great news i'm so so sorry.

Feel like I have jinxed myself - only 16 weeks but have put a deposit down on some baby stuff. Am in Europe and the prices for prams are about half that of the UK so worth it if if if if little one hangs in there. But obviously am now panicking as i'd promised myself not to get a thing until much much further along.

When did everyone else with dc already start buying bits and pieces?

Also wondering if anyone has any experience with spd or similar? Think i'm heading down that route as if I stand or sit for more than an hour my pelvis goes wobbly. Midwife next week so hopefully she can help as well.

Northernlight22 · 03/04/2016 22:19

I've not bought much yet, got a couple of bits of clothes but I'm waiting til 20 weeks before any of the big purchases.

Been feeling quite dizzy this week and really tired. I need to start getting into cooking and eating properly again now as I've spend the last 10 weeks on cereal, toast and anything else that's easy and requires minimal effort! Sickness only appears when I'm hungry now so that's good. Nearly 13 weeks now!

SodaChick · 04/04/2016 06:07

no more bleeding, only one scan option and that is Thursday unless I have to go to hospital but as bleeding stopped and there are no cramps and other sypmtoms, its really just a 3 days wait ...hope baby is ok. Still all the pregnancy symptoms but worse..thats a good sign.

obsessedlex · 04/04/2016 12:36

I've been totally out of touch this last week as we've been so busy with my partners brothers wedding so I need to catch up on all your news - but I just wanted to post to say that it's my 12 week scan today in 2 hours time and again I am terrified!! No reason to suspect any problems as this time my pg has been plain sailing and textbook nausea tiredness etc but still my heart is racing and i am fearing the worst!! Get a grip woman!
Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me at 2.30pm xxxx
Catch up later lovely ladies xxx

JoMalones · 04/04/2016 13:23

Good luck Lex!

I've lost all confidence in the pregnancy. 6w and symptoms have all gone. We are on holiday but will organise a scan for when we are back. Looking back, in my last pregnancy the symptoms went for a week about the same time the heart stopped.

FlourishingMrs · 04/04/2016 13:26

Jo symptoms can vary, in my healthy pregnancies I had no symptoms at all. I worked, went to the gym etc. The only symptom was missed period and later expanding waist line.

Try and Cheer up.

JoMalones · 04/04/2016 13:41

Thanks flourishing. I know, I need a slap! Just so hard to have any confidence at the moment

obsessedlex · 04/04/2016 13:50

Thank jo and have a virtual slap (in the nicest possible way!) my symptoms come and go and at 6w they may not have really even kicked in properly - keep positive my lovely and try and enjoy your holiday xxx

JoMalones · 04/04/2016 13:53

Thanks lex. At least being away I can't book a scan yet! Not long to go now for you! Will check in later again xx

AKP79 · 04/04/2016 13:58

Hi jo if it helps at all I'm having the same concerns at the moment too. 5w3d and I'm convinced that no sooner had the symptoms started that they are now going... Also reading into every twinge and strange feeling. The anxiety and worry is exhausting... just want that 12 week scan! My DH is dead against an early private scan this time round, our last one was when we found out that there was a problem and the care we were offered was terrible.

I understand his fears because I have them too, but waiting for another 7 weeks or more for an NHS scan is going to be tough!

JoMalones · 04/04/2016 14:06

Hi AKP it's so difficult not to compare isn't it? We had a healthy early scan last time then the 12week one was the problem. I think I would worry until 20 weeks even if the 12w one is fine!

AKP79 · 04/04/2016 14:10

jo it's a complete mind f@ck and it's so silly because the only symptoms I had with my now 4 year old DS were spots on my face at around weeks 5-8. So I know it's possible to have a symptomless healthy pregnancy... however, this time I'm worrying because I don't have any breakouts at all! Arrrggghhhh!!

obsessedlex · 04/04/2016 15:59

Scan all normal - so thrilled! Little one wasn't being very cooperative so I was being prodded and poked for quite some time while she was trying to get all measurements but finally all looks good!!
Love to all of those that are having a tough time xxx
