Hi ladies, can I join the group? I had a long drawn out MMC over Christmas and have recently found out I'm pregnant again. Very early days, due 5th December, so full of anxiety about the whole thing, so looking for some hands to hold.

doleritedinosaur · 30/03/2016 19:09

So sorry Nightmanager, really hope you get lucky soon.
Are you able to get any testing done? My doctor did some tests for me after 2 although I know most wait for 3.

Just counting down the days to scan, got side molars coming in for DS so distracting him & doing house stuff is helping.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

economymode · 30/03/2016 19:54

Hi all,

Still shattered and generally feeling ropey. It's the exhaustion that has flummoxed me this time. Don't remember being so knackered with either of my successful pregnancies. Had next to no symptoms with my pregnancy that ended in a mc, so I guess exhaustion and nausea are good things.

therealnightmanager I am so so sorry to hear that. It is just isn't fair. Wish there was a magic solution. Flowers.

sundayraspberry · 30/03/2016 20:22

Good luck for the future too therealnightmanager, sorry it hasn't worked out well for you and I really wish you an uneventful recovery.

Hi akp79 and Southdowns, hand holding aplenty on this thread!

Northernlight22 · 30/03/2016 20:37

So sorry night manager Flowers

economymode · 30/03/2016 20:38

I'm now incredibly worried that it could happen to me again. What will be will be, I know. But doesn't make it easier.

Oh so sorry to hear your news Nightmanager, I know nothing will help you right now but we are all thinking of you and sending you hugs Cake

AKP79 · 30/03/2016 20:45

economymode I'm having similar anxieties. I don't think people truly understand the fear unless you've been through it. I posted earlier about concerns I had over a trip to Germany with work. I'm worried about being away from home with 5 male colleagues and miscarrying. I know there's a lot of 'what ifs' but it's making me really anxious already.

I've got very faint crampy/period type pains around my tummy button area and it's making me so paranoid. I know worry won't solve anything though!

Northernlight22 · 30/03/2016 20:45

Fab news positivity!

Hi akp and southdowns, here's hoping you have very uneventful pregnancies 😊

Economy, it's easier said than done but you just have to stay positive and hope that this time is the time. Every time I feel Bleugh I just tell myself that the time for being upset / angry / fed up is if I find out there's something wrong, up til then I might as well focus on the positives. It's tough but we all know what you are going through

AKP79 · 30/03/2016 20:47

keys my first child was born with meningitis and was pumped with antibiotics from day one as was I due to lots of infections. He's fine now and in fact is a strapping 4 year old who is often mistaken for a 6 year old. I'm sure baby will be fine x

positivity123 · 30/03/2016 21:09

nightmanager I am so sorry. A mmc is hard as you get your hopes up. My thoughts are with you xx

LillianFullStop · 30/03/2016 22:14

SodaChick · 30/03/2016 23:05

Awww gosh really feel for those who are in pain ...sending love

hi APK
my first scan next week after nasty mc last year
keep delaying scan date
hope baby is ok..so nauseous and tired

SouthDownsSunshine · 31/03/2016 04:45

Sorry to hear you're so unwell keys, hopefully you'll take a turn for the better soon.

AKP Hi! When is your work trip? Could you duck out? I refused all foreign travel in the first trimester, agreed it with my boss after my first mc started when traveling with work.

AKP79 · 31/03/2016 10:13

Hi Southdowns it's when I'll be around 13 weeks pregnant. I've decided to talk to my boss about it today. Personally I don't think it's essential I go on this trip, but as they know about my miscarriage I'm just going to tell him I'm pregnant, explain my feelings and say if he feels it's essential then I'll go, but if it's not then I would prefer not to. They're a very understanding company. Feeling less anxious about it today, just went into pure panic mode yesterday. I've only just found out I'm pregnant which brought with it it's own anxieties, so to then have the business trip thrown in the mix when I'm a very fearful flyer it was all a bit too much.

Pduck · 31/03/2016 20:07

I'm really sorry Nightmanager.

Crumbs AKP sounds like a stressful start for your DC, hope your boss was understanding today.

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow so feeling slightly more positive that the risk drops slightly and the nausea is stepping up, I'm even dreaming about it!

economymode · 01/04/2016 07:51

So I tried to be positive yesterday and was pretty good at it. Until I went to wipe after having a wee, when bloody discharge came away. It was stringy and brownish with a little bit of red mixed in. No more, yet, but am freaking out. We are on holiday and I have no idea whether to try and get a scan somewhere or just suck it up. Sod's law, the sun is shining and we could actually have a nice day if all this weren't going on, but now I'm ruining the holiday. No idea who to call/what to do. I just want to know if it's game over or not.

I really do apologise for being such a thunder cloud on this thread. I'm just really struggling.

doleritedinosaur · 01/04/2016 09:05

There's no need to apologise Economymode, I had a bad day yesterday, even though there's no bleeding I saw a thread about someone who possibly conceived same week as me & had heartbeat on scan & it just threw me off.
Waiting until Tuesday is just not going well but there is 4 days left.

How long are you on holiday for? Are you able to ring your back at home EPU for advice?

It is hard to just carry on when you don't know what's happening but at least you have sunshine? Hope it gets better for you today.

economymode · 01/04/2016 09:37

I've, fingers crossed, got a private scan at 2 pm today. Just waiting for them to phone back and confirm. We're coming home tonight anyway. Epu at home doesn't do self-referrals and going from what I've read online, gp wouldn't refer me anyway. I've also lost the phone number for the epu they gave me from when I had my mc and of course it's not online as they don't want crazy ladies like me phoning all the time. I've since had some more brown discharge when I wipe and still feel ropey but that could just be because I feel so stressed and worried. Poor kids don't understand why mummy and daddy are so miserable.

Thank you, doloritedinosaur, I do appreciate your response and hope you have a better day too. Just going to get us all out of the house now, only thing we can do.

Northernlight22 · 01/04/2016 10:22

Not all bleeding is bad news, I had a bleed on Saturday morning and was dreading my 12 week scan. All was fine, they did tell me that at the moment there's a lot of stretching and moving around of stuff in there - they think mine was my cervix being a bit sensitive and the placenta being down around there. It's a horrible time, pleased you are getting checked out

chandelierswinging · 01/04/2016 14:54

Welcome southdowns and akp

Sorry to see so many people struggling.

nightmanager Flowers So very sorry.

Keys It's been a really tough time for you, bless you. Really hope you feel much better soon.

Thinking of you economy

economymode · 01/04/2016 15:51

Good news. Had the scan and they saw a strong heartbeat and measuring bang on date. She didn't really know what caused the discharge but no cause to worry at the moment. Thanks for all the positive thoughts. Just another 4 1/2 weeks until I can relax properly...

Sophia1984 · 01/04/2016 16:43

Brilliant news economy Chance of successful pregnancy goes up massively once you see the heartbeat :-)

CocklesandMussels · 01/04/2016 17:11

Sorry for your news nightmanager and congrats economy.

We have had our scan, and it's twins! I'm in shock and DH looked like he was going to pass out. A photo of two tiny blobs with heartbeats is enclosed.
Have a good weekend everyone x
