sundayraspberry · 10/03/2016 07:30

Brill news bowser Smile

And good luck today keys, hope it's an early appointment so you don't have too long to wait. I can guarantee it will definitely not feel spring-like in the Pennines today!

chandelierswinging · 10/03/2016 08:09

Good luck Keys! Thinking of you.

Backhometothenorth · 10/03/2016 08:25

Hope all goes well today keys x

I got my risk results back from 12 week scan and bloods yesterday- 1/860 for downs and 1/53000 for Edwards and patau. Was quite pleased as I'm coming up to 43 so baseline risk for downs is 1/40 ish. Quite a good age discount I thought!!

Have a good day everyone

obsessedlex · 10/03/2016 10:16

Great news North just what you wanted to hear!

Good luck today keys xx

obsessedlex · 10/03/2016 10:18

Thanks for all your morning sickness remedy ideas - I can't remember who said this but starburst are goooood!! As is strawberry Nesquick I have discovered!! And soup seems to be going down better than solids! Acupuncture later so hopefully I'll feel vaguely more human later.
Good days to you all xx

Crumbles12 · 10/03/2016 11:10

Lynsey and Lucinda I am so so sorry to hear your news, take care of yourselves and we hope to see you back here if and when you are ready Flowers

Keys good luck today! Hope the scan goes well and baby is looking healthy!

obsessed I have only physically been sick once but felt so nauseous through the day, I found sucking on a boiled sweet or a polo helped and very cold water, they seemed to keep it at bay, sorry you are feeling so poorly.

Our LO seems to be progressing normally which is a relief, had the midwife yesterday with a bit of a scare when she couldn't find the heartbeat (although she made it clear it may be too early and doesn't mean anything etc.), still awful to hear, luckily a more senior midwife had a go and after a good dig about managed to find it to our relief Smile, everything seems to say how well we should be feeling by the second trimester but still feeling yuck here!

economymode · 10/03/2016 11:30

Been off MN for a while but found out this morning that I'm pregnant with no3 after a miscarriage at 10 weeks last September. I worry a lot at the best of times and it has been such a hard six months (miscarriage really hit me for six). So now I am terrified about the whole business. I should be ecstatic as we have been trying again since it happened, but now I just a big ball of angst...

chandelierswinging · 10/03/2016 11:37

Welcome economy and congratulations on your BFP. We're all at different stages of our post-MC pregnancies but that ball of angst you describe seems to beat us all throughout the first trimester and beyond. Talk to us whenever you need. You're in good company here. Flowers

economymode · 10/03/2016 11:43

Thank you! My first two pregnancies were angst ridden so I'm in for a long 9 months (hopefully). My first child was actually a twin, lost his sibling at 7 weeks. But as we didn't know he was a twin until then and he went on to term without a problem, we didn't really count it as a miscarriage, if that makes sense? So, to know that it has happened twice to me makes me fear that it will happen again. I really should be thinking positive. Thank you again for the welcome. I'm not great at checking in every day but will certainly be popping in and out. Will have a proper read and catch up on everyone's stories later, but now I guess I should actually do some work (thank god I work on my own!)

obsessedlex · 10/03/2016 14:01

Slightly crampy tummy today and less sore boobies so of course I'm panicking Confused

obsessedlex · 10/03/2016 14:02

Welcome economy to the fretters bench - congratulations you'll feel very at home!! Xx

CocklesandMussels · 10/03/2016 14:06

So sorry to hear you news lynsey and lucinda. I hope you're still being well looked after.
Congratulations bowser and north that's great news for both of you.
Welcome economy, I'm quite new here and also v v anxious. 4+5 today

GoulashSoup · 10/03/2016 14:40

Hello economy, I am in a very similar situation to you. I have a DS aged 3 (that pregnancy was far from stress free and ended more dramatically than one would hope but we're all healthy now) had a MMC at the end of June, there were a few issues thrown up by the MMC which meant we've only really been trying since Sept (felt like forever). I am 5wks today I think and found out 10days ago. My over riding emotion is anxiety not helped by five days of spotting last week. Glad to be along for the ride with you and Cockles, and everyone else ahead of us who has been there and got the tshirt.

Bowserlovesmojitos · 10/03/2016 17:14

Keys I hope all went well with the heart scan today Smile

Brilliant news north!

Lynsey and Lucinda I hope you are both being taken care of, and am sending lots of cat cuddles to help with the grief.

Welcome to the newbies! As Chandelier said you'll be in good company and we've got some space on the first trimester fretting bench for you.

It's horrible there are so many of us with sad tales but at the same time you have all been such a comfort and support for me so thank you muchly Flowers

keys27 · 10/03/2016 17:51

Hi guys.

All went fine. My baby is measuring really small though so I have to go back in 4 weeks just for them to be sure she said at 20 weeks we should be able to see much more. She did see a very minor leaky value but was not constant so repairing itself already and when I go back should be completely healed. Either way she said it won't effect baby at all and all other parts of the heart are perfect so I feel much more relaxed. Have another scan on Monday again for my cervix but then hoping to have a break it's lovely to see baby however I'm getting really tired and be nice to get back to some kind or reality and routine with the girls. It's been full of worry and being ill. Onwards and upwards hope this little one starts growing as well she was being a a madam though back to us all the way through like she was saying leave me alone I'm trying to sleep here haha. Her heart rate was 154bpm which is really good as well. Can finally breath a sign of reliefe for now anyway. Thanks for all your lovely well wishes guys I couldn't of got through this rough ride without you all

Hi newbies! Congratulations!

Great news keys north and bowser hope you're both feeling relieved and less stressed.

Nothing going on here. Officially starting the second trimester tomorrow (it is 13 weeks isn't it?) so hoping the tiredness and sickness is going to magically vanish tomorrow Grin

Threefaries · 10/03/2016 22:27

I'm so glad your scan went well keys. What a stressful time filled with worry you've been having. Here's to you having a gorgeous little bundle in your arms this summer and knowing all the worrying and stresses from this pregnancy will be behind you BrewCakeFlowers

GoulashSoup · 10/03/2016 22:40

Glad it went well today keys. It sounds like you have had a rollercoaster so far. Fingers crossed your little one grows lots.
